UPDATE: 1830EDT, "CTC update. Proverbs 18:22 comments." Hello, and a warm welcome to all, wishing you a safe day, careful and considerate. Let's look to benefit from the conclusion of Proverbs 18, with verses 21-24, then consider a Christian Small Letter selection, today's TWGA, and the week's CTC Corner.
"21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue; Those who love to use it
will eat its fruitage. 22 The one who finds a good wife has found
something good, And he receives Jehovah’s favor. 23 The poor man
implores when speaking, But the rich man answers harshly. 24 There are
companions ready to crush one another, But there is a friend who sticks
closer than a brother."
Prove 18:21 Clearly, our words to others can promote their grasp on eternal life, or it can contribute to their loss of life--usually the choice is ours. Proverbs 12:18 says: "18 Thoughtless speech is like the stabs of a sword, But the tongue of the wise is a healing." Those who use their tongue well can promote spiritual healing and one's welfare, and will often be rewarded by appreciative ones for their efforts, and blessed by God. 18:22 Why? One who finds a "good wife" usually has sought Jehovah's
direction and guidance in prayer, and may have prepared himself for a
good marriage. This one recognizes the value and gift of marriage, and
willingly accepts the responsibilities and privileges that come with it,
being willing to loyally love his dear wife. He shows a willingness to
wait for the right person if necessary, looking for one who likewise
appreciates marriage and it's Originator. He thereby receives Jehovah's
favor, for acting in harmony with God's righteousness. Still, those who didn't yet fully know Jehovah may have yet had His blessing to find a good spouse, compatible with one another, capable of loving God and one another as they come to know Jehovah better--HE is the Originator of Marriage and the Family unit! May all look to Him to make their marriage the joy it is intended to be for those honoring this gift from our loving God and Father!
"23 The poor man implores when speaking, But the rich man answers harshly."

18:23 The poor man tends to have a humble attitude, and "implores" or
pleads earnestly, when he speaks. Is it not refreshing to hear someone
speak humbly or graciously toward others? Of course, we need a measure
of self-respect, and therefore should not go overboard, begging for all
we need. May we confidently trust Jehovah to provide for what we truly
need. Still, the "rich" or wealthy man may answer "harshly." He tends to
have a proud demeanor, and is more demanding in his requests. His harsh
speech often comes across as rough, disagreeable, or unpleasant.
Proverbs 13:7 says "There is one who pretends to be rich, yet has
nothing; There is another who pretends to be poor, yet has great
wealth." Even if we may have some "wealth," may be prefer to treat
others with thoughtfulness, kindness, humility, 'pretending to be poor,'
as it were. To clarify, we shouldn't however "pretend" to be
humble--this quality is an essential to walk with godly fear and to be
cultivating true love for God and others. Thus, "consider others
superior to you," recognizing their stores of knowledge, gifts and
talents often outshine our own. A truly wise person is NOT a
know-it-all. Proverbs 1:5 says "A wise person listens and takes in more
instruction..." Thus true listening involves learning, and perhaps
asking the right questions to enhance our knowledge.

18:24 Clearly, many have not learned how to be a good "companion." It
is not merely being with each other that makes for good companionship.
Such persons should learn how to be a good friend, to be thoughtful and
kind in word and deed, and patient with one another's mistakes, for
instance. Proverbs 29:22 says "a man prone to anger stirs up strife..."
and should quickly turn to Jehovah to acquire self-control and
gentleness, a mildness of temper, that is displayed throughout each day
in kind, thoughtful dealings with others. Everyone should be "slow to
anger" (James 1:19). One often hot-tempered does not make good company
until he gains more of the vital quality of self-control. May he do so
quickly, with Jehovah's patient assistance and powerful holy spirit,
producing the fruitage that includes "faith, mildness, self-control."
(Galat 5:22,23). Faith in Jehovah should also help prevent us from
losing our temper so easily, as Jehovah "is faithful, and He will not
let you be tempted beyond what you can bear..." As soon as we become
irritated about something take swift action--channel any energy into
thinking through the problem to find a solution or a way to cope with
it--refuse to let it get to the point of anger, which rarely leads to
good results--it hinders clear thinking, often causes hurt feelings, and
can even make one sick! Thus David says, at Psalm 37:8 "Let go of
anger..." Upholding God's standards, look to God's word for advice on
being a good friend, and may we thus find companions that stick "closer
than a brother."

CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER SELECTION
COMPREHEND GOD'S LOVE IN JESUS, TREASURING GODLY VIRTUES
PREPARING FOR GOD'S NEW WORLD.
1Peter 1 describes the unique resurrection for a specific group, which Christ's
resurrection gave example of, being raised to "heavenly" life, to rule
with Christ. Ones with this hope have been especially "distressed by
various trials, in order that the tested quality of [their] faith, of
much greater value than gold that perishes despite its being tested by
fire, may be found a cause for praise and glory and honor at the
revelation of Jesus Christ." Of course, all remaining ones with hopes of a global Paradise also need such refining of faith, and may rejoice as well as
they meet tests faithfully, with integrity to God. How happy all are learning to become as they remain obedient to God, even under test! Such faithful ones
may enjoy precious privileges of service to God in his coming new world,
while all may certainly enjoy learning and educating others in true
Christian living. There will be the final test that all will need to be
prepared to face faithfully, loyally to God. May we bolster our faith
now, that we may assist others to have strong faith in God through the
end of the current system, on into the new.
COMPREHEND LOVE OF GOD AND JESUS.
1Peter 2:1-3 exhorts all: "1 So rid yourselves of all badness and deceit
and hypocrisy and envy and all backbiting. 2 As newborn infants, form a
longing for the unadulterated milk of the word, so that by means of it
you may grow to salvation, 3 provided you have tasted that the Lord is
kind." Therefore, all should experience the kindness of God and Jesus,
this loyal love for mankind, including for each person and their loved
ones individually, that all may come to comprehend this love and gain
such a proper heart motive personally, inclined to unselfish love,
wisdom and righteousness. Any who do not have this view of both should
pray for this earnestly and urgently. Thus may all grow to love the word
of God and His inspiring promises, including those regarding an
everlasting satisfying future, that each may learn at first the basics
of true Christianity, "the unadulterated milk of the word," providing
the basis for continued spiritual growth to Christian soundness, or
maturity, and genuine peace and happiness.
WHOLESOME REGARD FOR JEHOVAH.
As regards the family, while husbands are to love their wives as they do
themselves, 1Peter 3 reminds godly wives to "be in subjection to your
husbands, so that if any are not obedient to the word, they may be won
without a word through the conduct of their wives, 2 because of having
been eyewitnesses of your chaste conduct together with deep respect."
Such qualities are treasured by most men, and may move some to have more
love and fear of God. The true fear of God is a reverential respect for
Him, fearing to displease Him in any way, refusing to hurt Him, out of
love for Him and regard for His feelings. For a time the Israelites
failed in this, as explained in Psalm 78:40,41: "How often they rebelled
against him in the wilderness And made him feel hurt in the desert! 41
Again and again they put God to the test, And they grieved the Holy One
of Israel." May we appreciate, and not take for granted, the love of our
God!Romans 8:38-39 says of such love: "For I am convinced that neither death
nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to
come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be
able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
QUALITIES OF THE HEART.
1Peter 3:3-6 helps us focus on the inner person—the lovely qualities of
the heart that make life worth living and make friendships far more
meaningful and delightful. How much more important to be beautiful
spiritually, while we may still modestly value physical beauty. Notice
Peter’s inspired words:
“3 Do not let your adornment be external—the braiding of hair and
the wearing of gold ornaments or fine clothing—4 but let it be the
secret person of the heart in the incorruptible adornment of the quiet
and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God. 5 For this
is how the holy women of the past who hoped in God used to adorn
themselves, subjecting themselves to their husbands, 6 just as Sarah
obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you have become her children,
provided you continue doing good and do not give in to fear.”
TREASURE SPIRITUAL QUALITIES.
Thus it takes courage to “continue doing good” and focusing on spiritual
beauty with obedience to God. May we ever appreciate the “quiet and
mild spirit” of great value in God’s eyes. Such a spirit involves
humility, self-control, and mild gentleness manifested throughout each
day—not just at certain times, such as when one is becoming irritated.
These qualities should flow from us constantly, forming a vital
foundation of the Christian new personality with faith in God and
Christ. May we treasure spiritual qualities, no longer being a “physical
man” oblivious to spirituality, or inner well-being and happiness. May
we add loyalty and faithfulness, in harmony with true love, seeking the
long-term best interests of others, including their eternal life before
God.

THRICE WEEKLY GOLDEN APPLES (TWGA)
CONTINUED ADDRESS TO UNITED STATES ON COVID-19
As shared previously, on Saturday's (usually Friday's) TWGA release, we've had a serious development, at least in the U.S., as regards the intake of undercooked meat which has increased susceptibility to coronavirus for many persons. There is another aspect to this matter, and not just a nuance. This involves a serious factor in immune system weakness that is contributing to coronavirus hospitalizations and even deaths. A reasonable question to ask is why would even the undercooked meat eaten by meat-packing workers have such as dramatic COVID-19 effect on so many of them, almost all of them? It has to do with FUNGAL INFECTIONS, mentioned previously on this website as an early factor affecting the personal impact of COVID-19 on individuals. Anyone receiving such an infection may have impaired liver function and immune response, and could suffer more dramatically from COVID-19. But how are they, and others, getting fungal infections from meat? Some time ago, an idea took hold that feeding PRE-DIGESTED corn to animals such as cows, would enhance their health and make for better meat. Unfortunately, the enzymes used to break down this corn for digestion were derived from a harmful fungus, usually a form of Aspergillus.Many fungi, fed sugar, will secrete substances that may appear to be
those needed by humans, but in reality have a contrary effect on the
human organism, as evidently these substances are secreted for use by
the fungus itself, rather than for human or animal benefit. Thus they
may only function to extend or advance the life of the fungus inside
it's host. There may be a whole list of substances people may be
ingesting that have been so derived from harmful fungi, that if truly
derived from genuine food sources, could have very positive effects on
human health. One common array of substances, largely being derived from
harmful fungi, involves various types of ENZYMES, even appearing in some
human digestive enzyme supplements. Such enzymes again apparently are
breaking down food for the benefit and life of fungus, even inside a
host creature, and are not advancing human health. Thus the animals eating this pre-digested food are feeding a live fungus that needs to be eliminated. The meat must be thoroughly cooked for humans to have nutritional benefit. With proper response and corrections, both humans and animals may most-likely return to a state of good health. As regards the animals, immediate action is recommended to correct feeding and address any possibility of infection. The same enzymes have been used in the human food supply for many years, and this should likewise be addressed. Much normal grain-fed and especially grass-fed cattle remain in excellent condition for nourishing consumption.
More has been learned as to how this infection weakens individuals. As explained early on, one helpful substance that can greatly assist one's recovery from such an infection is ascorbic acid, or vitamin C. As contrary as it may seem to some, the typical synthetic version of this, which usually is the only type that can be made into tablet form, is the best for the purpose of killing mold toxins and restoring liver function from the fungal invasion. So-called food-source ascorbic acid is most likely derived the cheapest way, from another yeast or fungus, which would only exacerbate the problem. Also, as regards even a synthetic vitamin C supplement, be careful, as the cheapest of ascorbic acid or vitamin C supplements may contain other added chemicals or ingredients that, while not necessarily inhibiting the desired effect on mold, may create other body imbalances or health impacts. Something else that has been learned is that one way fungi diminish human health is by taking minerals from their human host, especially perhaps inorganic minerals or minerals broken down by fungal enzymes for their use. Thus in support of human health, while combating a fungal infection, and eliminating intake of fungal enzymes, it can be beneficial to maintain adequate food mineral intake--not to further feed the fungus, but to prevent human body shutdown from lack of vital minerals. Drinking good coffee, for instance, supports human remineralization, as does eating mineral-rich foods, such as potatoes and other root vegetables grown in healthy soil.

COME TO CONSENSUS CORNER
I'm remaining focused on the U.S. COVID-19 situation at this time, so let's continue the week 16 issue:
Week 16: ISSUE AFTER ISSUE ADDRESSED BY GOD’S KINGDOM: MORE ORDERLY TIME
POSSIBLE? Two months from now, on the 16th of the month, what day of the week will it be? How would you like to know the answer without having to check your phone, calendar, or appointment book, or recall some complex memorization device? What if time or days could be measured in a more orderly way? Might this increase our ability to organize activities better, and promote greater happiness? How would you like every month to begin on a Monday? What if every month was 4 weeks, or 28 days long? Is it possible to maintain this year after year? Many may recall that the year can primarily be split into 4 divisions of 13 weeks each, totaling 364 days. Thus, turning this around, could we have 13 months of 4 weeks each? And could we incorporate one additional month in a way that wouldn’t upset the balance of seasons that we’ve become accustomed to?
IT IS POSSIBLE! The answers may indeed be a resounding YES! Would the additional month necessarily have to be at the end of the year? Or rather, could it be divided up, one week at a time, at the conclusion of each 3-month period, at the beginning of each season? Initially, I proposed the month be named Humanity, largely as a reminder of the one human family God made, and the dignity with which we should accord one another within this family. However, the name of a month needs to be chosen carefully, so that it not be confused with normal words, which can cause misunderstandings, especially in the ears of young children. For instance, Humanity 1, Humanity 2, etc. could be misconstrued. Researching the origins of the word “month” led to a proposed adjustment, to recommend calling the month Humaneth. The meaning may be retained, and the origins explained and related to the appealing term of Humanity. Thus Humaneth 1-7 could appear at the end of the first 3 months, some days after the beginning of the spring equinox, which would normally occur around the time of March 20. And after 3 full months of 4 weeks each, what if some may even be able to have this week off from normal work activities, an additional rest and recreational period to add to the blessings of God’s Kingdom arrangement? Granted, this might not be possible for everyone, but perhaps those that must still work, may work less, and possibly alternate with other workers, to have off some other time of the year. We may be surprised what is possible with God’s blessing on this arrangement! What a fine time of reflection and activity each of these weeks could be, as we prepare for a new season!
YEAR TO YEAR? So with 4 separate weeks of Humaneth, the final being Humaneth 22-28 after the last normal month of the year, what can be done to account for the additional 1-1/4 days, the year actually being 365-1/4 days long? First, we need one additional day each year, to maintain the first of each month as Monday, the beginning of the week we’ve grown accustomed to. We certainly don't want every month the following year starting on Tuesday! While this day, Humaneth 29, would help maintain our sanity, following the Sunday of Humaneth 28, and avoid causing confusion with another day Monday through Sunday, which could be maintained each as 52 days of the year, a name appropriate to it's intended purpose might be simpy, "Reflection," or "Reflection Day". It would follow the Sunday of Humaneth 28, and give us pause before looking ahead to the new year.Either way, every fourth year, we would need one more additional day, Humaneth 30, to account for the Leap year. I would like to propose we actually call this “Quad Day,” having reference to the number 4, as I believe it would be advantageous for us to refer to each 4-year cycle as a “Quad,” or a "Quad cycle." It is evidently a period of time God built in to Earth’s journey around the Sun, and a period that should be recognized in some useful way, in counting time. It would still follow "Reflection" and likely also be a day of consideration of the prior 4 years, before looking ahead to the next.
OTHER MONTH NAMES. Then, while we’re looking at such significant changes, could we not reconsider even the names of our months? How beneficial are the meanings of the months as they are? What if they could be renamed in a way that would help our precious children gain values and understand more of what’s important in life, to be happier and more at peace with themselves and others? Let’s propose names that have meaning and provide some order to values contributing greatly to a wise and peaceful human family. Again, we can be careful to choose names that wouldn’t be confusing to words used ordinarily, so the names shouldn’t necessarily sound familiar:
In a new world of God’s making, benefitting from the rule of His Kingdom,

(1) Prudency (Pru.) - Many would agree the first month should be about foresight, looking ahead at the upcoming year, perhaps doing some planning, and considering far-reaching goals. Prudence is a highly important aspect of divine wisdom, involving the looking ahead at the consequences of our decisions, and choosing a wise course. Hence, an appropriate name to begin the year. Some Bibles refer to this quality as “shrewdness.” (Proverbs 14:15).
(2) HopenGod-Jah (Hop.) - Vital for happiness, and needed to be restored quickly if ever lost, is HOPE. And our hope should be in our Creator, first and foremost. (Romans 15:4).
(3) Noli (Nol.) - An important early value is learning to tell truth from falsehood. What a vital, life-saving ability! May we aim to gain and refine the wisdom to tell the difference, and refuse to carry on or promote harmful untruths.
After 4 weeks each of these months, would come the first week of Humaneth, 1-7.

(4) Rightnes (Rtn.)
Now named one month prior. Under peaceful conditions, largely inspired by hope, and aided by truth, the practice of right conduct can blossom and flourish. This, of course, is God’s standard of righteousness we seek, in harmony with divine wisdom. (James 3:18). Whereas this month starts much agriculture, it often continues well into the next. What is right should be largely understood prior to finding agreement with others.
(5) Agreehelp (Agr.) While considered an agricultural month, the name suggests a measure of peace, with encouragement to lovingly assist others to come to a proper view, and the abbreviation fits well with agriculture. Peace is to be a hallmark of God’s new world, so it appears here early on in development. This is a quality God expects us to strive to maintain with Him and fellow humans, never growing bitter and allowing hatred to fester toward others, but rather treating others with compassion and understanding where possible.
(6) Hapnesy (Hap.) At this point, genuine happiness can begin to blossom as well, as we come to live in harmony with godly wisdom and standards. True happiness is thus appropriately linked with peace and right, fair conduct.
After 4 weeks each of these months, would come the second week of Humaneth, 8-14.
The following three months of Summer might then be named:
(7) Jahferss (Jfs.) ,"Jah" being the shortened form of God's name, such as appears in the expression "Hallelujah."The unusual spelling helps to avoid confusion with the first day of the month. An example where this shortened form of God's name should appear in the Scriptures can be found at Isaiah 12:2, which says "Look! God is my salvation. I will trust and feel no dread; For Jah Jehovah is my strength and my might, And he has become my salvation.” Another verse that all should perhaps know, that could help young ears to learn who "Jah" is, would be Psalm 106:1, which reads: "Praise Jah! Give thanks to Jehovah, for he is good; His loyal love endures forever." Putting God first is important in the development of a person, contributing to the quality of godly devotion, which involves a close personal attachment to God as a person. The very first of the Ten Commandments requires that we give God exclusive devotion, not worshiping anyone or anything else. This makes possible His blessing on us as individuals, and as a nation or people. This expression may also help us remain a strong but humble people before God and one another, promoting genuine peace and happiness. Godly devotion was recognized by many of those founding this country, as they sought to worship God more freely in accord with His word the Bible. It is God Himself who made possible the founding of such a nation, in spite of the imperfections and weaknesses of men, and we do well to rightly give Him credit for such achievements.
(8) LisnaJah (Lis.) While others qualities originally held this spot, an emerging realization of the need to underscore as essential God's word became a high priority. In fact, the Scriptures point out that obedience to God is what's needed to bring about the purity that's considered a primary aspect of divine wisdom (James 3:17). And such also contributes greatly to genuine peace. These qualities are vital to develop divine wisdom and happiness. This initially appeared one month later, but logically should be placed prior to the reminder to love Jehovah's ways, and even our all-important faith begins with hearing the word of Jehovah. (Romans 10:17).

, To advance appreciation for the superior loving ways of the true God Jehovah. While perhaps the most straightforward of month names, it may prove of great help to young ears who have much good to learn about the ways of God. However, a serious hindrance may be confusion with the name of the movie "JAWS"--this name may best become something else, like "TEETH" so as never to be a cause for confusion. and Psalm 106:1 (4Psalm 17:1) "Praise Jah! Give thanks to Jehovah, for he is good; His loyal love endures forever."
GOD’S INSTRUCTION.
It is strongly believed that if this arrangement of names is used, the children learning them will be more inclined toward genuine peace and happiness! Of course, this would still be with loving parental guidance and instruction. How much better to have month names with such meaning as it relates to the acquisition of divine wisdom and happiness! Of course, it is Jehovah God Himself who offers us instruction to develop heart appreciation for such qualities. May we not take them for granted, and encourage others to grow in their love for God and others. And may we perhaps enjoy the passing of time even more, as it proves to take place in a more orderly way. It is believed that such a change as this could take place following one year after this one concludes, beginning 2022, as already much has been planned by business and other organizations for the next year. For plans further out, charts and apps can be made to easily convert to the new format. At the latest, it could be recommended to start 2024, as the first day of that year is back around to Monday. But that is not necessary--2022 would work, as it is the number of the day of the year that must be maintained--not the days of the week, all of which will need to be adjusted with this new arrangement, but will be even easier to forecast going forward from the time it begins. Also, while correcting our calendar, God has indicated that the century omission of leap year or "Quad Day" need no longer be acknowledged--He intended an exact 365.25 day length year for planet Earth, not a complicated mathematical formula--the adjustment of 1 Quad Day every four years is sufficient. May we continue looking forward to the blessings of God’s Kingdom, and the happier lives we can live at that time with His blessing upon His people—all those cooperating with His will earth-wide!

Working on some things, I may adjust the plan not to normally post on Sundays, or at least Righzdays, the start of the 8-day workweek the second week (after a 2-day weekend) which leads to/makes possible the following 4-day or so weekend, still with typically 5-day workweeks with a longer year of some 400-days, which is real and current, not just a possibility or something imagined. The 7-day calendar is now off the real calendar by some 31 days or so, but the weekdays are still close to lining up together, and plans could be made to incorporate or transition, although it's believed that scheduled times are best changed about a month or a month and a half out, rather than so many so soon. With that view, then it turns out that next month, actually March and Peasamake (2nd month 8-Day Cal.) would be the time the calendars once again line up or merge Mar 22 (Sunday and Sonaday) for an entire week or two, being a good time for transition. Events scheduled March 22 through the weekend March 28-29, could be lined up with mid-Peasamake the 17th through the 24th (recall every month on 8-Day is 4 weeks 1-8,9-16,17-24,25-32 plus 1-2 days 33 or 34 long), then the next week both workweeks line up, Righzday through Thunderzday or Thunzday, leading NOT in this case (4X per year) to the 6-day but rather to the normal end-of-month 5-day weekending break, the 4-days plus just Lunarday, the 33rd, after Fanday the 32nd of the month, with Sonaday, following as the 1st of the next month, Shuay, but also a normal day off like Sunday. I believe I had interference from talking up the holiday as Christ's Family Weekend on the website this year, although many still likely heard, for Dec 27th and 28th; there is strong reason for caution, due to God's blessing potentially being removed from Dec 25. Some prophecies were fulfilled in recent years, including one about Job's cursing of the day of his birth, which both was historically Dec 25 and whose life foreshadowed Christ in some ways, prophetically. When God's blessing is on a day, He has often protected people from danger; For years now Jesus above (AzGod) has been saving thousands of lives weekly traveling roadways for instance. It is acknowledged that this went so misunderstood this year, without realizing a completely acceptable alternative in Christ's Family Weekend, but God and Jesus Christ above still have made clear that safe travel cannot be guaranteed for Dec 25. Why not open some gifts on the evening of the 24th, and save the rest for Christ's Family Weekend, on the 27th and 28th, good days for traveling to family, etc. for the same. To the extent that we do such things, we will please both God and Christ, showing faith in their word.
