It is being understood by many that the preferred English name for Christ is found in the name Joshuaz (JOSH'-U-UZ) (finding 3 syllables acceptable, and pronounced with the familiar short o 'Josh', but now the ending just as a plural of Joshua would be pronounced, short u 'uz'), but you may have come to understand that there is clue in Revelation regarding God's purpose for having brought another son, while the original Christ the Son of God would himself as King of God's Kingdom, begun in 1914, would assume a role similar to His Father, the verse in Revelation referring to "the Lord and his Christ." Most are familiar with 1Corinthians 8:5-6, where it states that there is 'actually to us one God, the Father, out of whom all things are, and one Lord, Joshuaz (Jesus) Christ, through whom all things are." So the reference in Revelation is to another Christ, as many truly have recognized, with a prophecy in Daniel among other indications, as to this one's appearance in a faithful ministry that took place beginning September 2003, while a September 15 Watchtower magazine article around the same time called attention to the life of Martin Luther, and essentially his role in another "word going forth to restore and rebuild Jerusalem," or 'to rebuild Jerusalem [the ruling city, or government of the people of God, or Christianity (Galatians 6:16)] and make it new again'. (Daniel 9:25, NWT, NIRV) In Luther's day, the invention of the Gutenberg press made it possible for such a message to receive widespread attention. Two heavens are acknowledged in Scripture, as in Solomon's temple prayer, where he refers to both 'the heaven(s)' (wherein he dwelt as a ruling king over God's people Israel) and the 'heaven of (the) heavens' wherein God Himself dwelt. Another significant development in the name of Joshuaz in the heavens above, as he would represent and serve as God himself, or "AzGod", that name still agreeable to the Tetragrammaton being "Jehovoez" (acceptably pronounced JEE-HO'-VOEZ) and meaning "He who Causes to Become, Grow, and Increase" is acceptable in referring to that One above, again having been king of God's Kingdom since 1914, and leading the way to the establishment of genuine peace earthwide, as is the word of God in promise. JOSHUAZ . Thus, the name referenced above as Joshuaz, applying to both "the Lord and his Christ" can have the meaning "Salvation Belongs to Jehovoez," with "Jo" representing God's name, and "shua" indicating "Salvation." Again this is being considered the new English preferred pronunciation. The meaning here is very close to that of the complete Hebrew name, shown below, "Jehovoez [God] is Salvation." Both short forms are three syllables in the English language, and possibly aiding the young, with the true name being increasingly preferred over the name Jesus, which evidently was given him by Caesar, having the meaning "He makes wet." That name ends 's', but recall that many plurals actually have the 'z' sound, as should Joshuaz', again much closer in meaning. Regarding the plural ending, at least aiding memory, it is noteworthy that the patriarch Job (long o), from what was the second completed Bible book, lived in the land of Uz, and was a contemporary of Abram. Due to changed circumstances, God is agreeable as THE most accurate names of both Him and His Son in English are uncovered--but note the updated way that the most accurate and preferred pronunciation should be written. Some have at one time or another came across the idea that God's personal name in the original Bible language is actually in a plural form, now understood not spelled Jehovoze' but Jehovoez (spelled just as if it were plural) rather than Jehovoe. It has been explained that this indicated "grandeur," but it was discounted from being pronounced in English this way. As for the ending sound, the plural marking does indeed indicate that the spelling should be just as if the name was plural. This might be compared to existing first names like Adams, which means "Family of Adam." Notice this example, while ending with an 's', actually has the 'z' sound. Recall that plurals, while still being spelled with an 's', have had either the 's' or the 'z' sound. There has been indication that God prefers some adjustment to the English language, that would improve it's clarity, with spelling closer to the actual sounding of words, easier for young and old alike to comprehend so as to be better able to learn reading and writing, such rewarding and useful skills to have, promoting truth and understanding. Of importance as well, however, is understanding the shortened form of God's name as revealed in His word, but actually containing the same marking as with the full name, so it is not Joe, but Joez (Pronounced JOHZ, one syllable). Sometimes they are together, as "Joez Jehovoez". GODS . Also of significance, the Hebrew term "Elohim", commonly used throughout the Bible referring to God, is actually the PLURAL form of "elohah", god. The truth is, there is more than one Person, like a united family, acting with power as God(s), which would lend itself to a plural translation into English. Still, they are able to act in such unison that they truly act as "one." Also, there are times in the Scriptures when the name of God has a marking that indicates an alteration, indicating that one of these other Gods is being referenced! While One has the name as below, Jehovoez', meaning "He who causes to become, grow, and increase," with deep interest in and love for mankind, one is more associated with being Creator of all things, with all the love entailed, for instance, in a home designed with our life, peace, and happiness in mind: Joldove (Jole-duv), and another responsible for the design of humankind physically or physiologically, able to communicate and interact with a planetary home: Johlove (Joh-luv). Of course, Jehovoez took great interest in all of this, seeing primarily to the personality and spirit of humans, and capable like the others in creation and human interaction with our environment and each other. 'JEHOVAZ' APPROPRIATE . In the case of God, to pronounce the name in English as properly transmitted from Hebrew, it would be the name Jehovoez, or Je'hovoez', rich with meaning. The first 'e' is long, and the first 'o' is also preferably long (Thus pronounced preferably as JEEhoeVOEZ'). Of course, God shows understanding toward us, His name having been translated other ways for so long, but most accurately with the above ending change, new to some: Jehovoez' (pronounced with a long first 'e' (ee) and along with the 'h' a long first 'o', or 'hoe'). It is now understood that with proper accents on the first and last syllables, the spelling can be upheld in pronunciation, fully JE'HOVOEZ'. It has now been understood, however, that the name as JEHOVAZ (acceptably pronounced either as JE-HOE'-Vuz, JEE-HOE'-Vuz (better) and JEE'-hoeVAZ) brings the plural factor into the name as in the King James Version, and is an acceptable form especially in our day with the Lord above representing the true God, as a divine god Himself, or AzGod (John 1:1). This retains some similarity to a form of God's name familiar to many for centuries (Jehovah), thus respecting past efforts to honor God's name. Keep in mind that the 'e' in the Hebrew language is properly pronounced long ('ee'). Making the important ending change from "vah" to "vaz" reminds one of the meaning of God's name as "He who causes to become, grow, or increase," while at the same time bringing to mind Revelation's mention of the "Alpha and the Omega" or the "A and the Z", instances referring both to God and to the Lord Joshuaz (Jesus), but who never intends to permanently replace his Father God above, as we look for God's future continuance as God over and close to all, as things are brought back into their proper way. It would be similar with the most accurate name of God's Son--the name most familiar to the Hebrew name is spelled Jehoshua', but with the same markings as with God's name, to indicate the sound as though plural! This is one reason that the name Jesus by Caesar was given, with the 's' ending, although shown to have improper meaning. So it is fully Je'hoshuaz', pronounced fully as JE'-hoeSHUAZ'. As with God's name, the Scriptures actually reveal a shortened form of this name but translated so in just a couple of places, used just occasionally by his close followers, and this is just the last of the name, Shuaz. As with God's full name, the 'e' is long ('ee') and the middle o is preferably long ('hoe'), with emphasis or accent on both the first and last syllables. Understood this way, the name is agreeable to speak, read and write, again Je'hoshuaz', for both young and old. You should see that both complete names from Hebrew are three syllables. Of course, in writ or print these need not be in all caps. Notice again the accent on the final syllable with regard to God's name, voez (VOHZ), which is the preferable pronunciation by the capable. With God's blessing, use of these names--again JE'HOVOEZ' or now preferably JEHOVAZ (to approach the Father AzGod) and JE'HOSHUAZ' usually written without the accent mark(s), or the three-syllable JOSHUAZ' (short 'o', and short u 'uz' as plural of Joshua), the accents still obviously benefitting those yet unfamiliar with it's proper pronunciation, would be met with joy by many sincere Christians looking to have these personal names restored to Christian discussions, esp. in many of their preferred Bible translations. _____GA[2] GOLDEN APPLES ADJUSTMENT TO COMPREHEND 'LAW' WITH AN ADDITIONAL 'L' In my blogposts I've begun substituting "lawl" for "law" or "lall". Many recall the explanation that the "l" sound at the end is often needed for the young to comprehend the word and it's meaning. Yet "lall" had not been that well received. There is a meaning to "awl" in the Scriptures which I'll expand upon. But still, look at the word "lawl" itself--have you ever heard of the expression "keep it between the lines"? Written in lowercase, you basically have the sidelines around the letters 'a' and 'w'. What could these letters stand for? How about "actions" and "words"? How much can be rightly done if both our actions and words are exercised within the proper limits! There were instructions in God's lawl regarding slaves and slave owners, God's Lawl outlining a way for those in desperate need back then to have needs met and pay off debt, for instance. Some slave owners were, as God's lawl promoted, good to such ones, caring about their needs and welfare. Occasionally, when the time came for a temporary slave to be set free and leave, some had come to love their owner or master so much that they did not want to go! In such a case of genuine loyalty, or loyal love, for the master, God's lawl instructed the master to literally get an awl, which many know is a tool with a metal pointed rod for woodworking and such, and pierce the right ear of the slave (the ear having no nerves there, thus not painful), and declare him as owned for time indefinite (as God sees fit). Thus he would become a part of the family of the master, and in this way God illustrated an example of true loyal love between such persons, with the ear indicating a person's listening ability and willingness to listen, with respect for a loving head. Likewise, God's instructions through Christ mean everlasting life to those who listen and come to heed them! _____GA[3] GOLDEN APPLES Look for a follow-up to this repost, later this week... GOLDEN APPLES From Mar 2021, a repost: WEEKLY GOLDEN APPLES Psalm 15:1-2 "O Jehovah, who will be a guest in your tent? Who will reside in your holy mountain? 2 He who is walking faultlessly and practicing righteousness And speaking the truth in his heart..." Proverbs 17:26 "To punish the righteous one is not good, And to flog honorable people goes against what is right." Proverbs 21:3 "To do what is right and just is more pleasing to Jehovah than a sacrifice." INAUGURATION OF GOD'S KINGDOM ? Well, A deep subject!! The inauguration of the President of the United States came and went--let things (at least eventually) take place as they should, even if it takes a little time for all things to take place in the proper way. Many are coordinating efforts to protect Washington D.C., where I am writing you from at this time. Those familiar with my website and blog may realize "Honesty IS the best policy"--Integrity to what is true and "right, just and fair" is the best way to live, vital to genuine growth, personally as well as together as a family, a neighborhood, community, as a nation or country, and world (Proverbs 2:1-11). Sometimes, when things have not been taking place as they should, our reasonable and loving God and Father, Jehovah, makes possible some way lawfully to correct matters, even nationally or country-wide. He may offer some sort of discipline, or loving correction, to remind us that He is not approving of what is taking place. As any loving Father, He may mercifully offer some gentle correction at first, by His spirit, hoping that it would be enough to cause genuine repentance of a wrong course, and cause one(s) to turn back and do what is truly right, making whatever corrections are necessary. There was once a time in Israel's history when the Law of God had been essentially ignored by King Ahaz, replaced with the worship of false deities. When his son Hezekiah ascended the throne, however, he took swift action to correct matters, re-establishing the true worship of Jehovah as a nation, and this had God's blessing! However, as he evidently believed that it was not possible for the nation to properly celebrate the Passover in accord with God's law through Moses, he made other arrangements, and more of the people cleansed themselves and were in a better position to approach the true God and commemorate properly, humbling themselves and beseeching Jehovah for His approval. When finally conducted in full/complete harmony with God's law and standards, the people "observed the celebration with great rejoicing", and "giving thanks to Jehovah the God of their forefathers"--God even blessing the postponement of that festival. (2Chron 30). Some may recall that early in Israel's history, they grew impatient with Moses and turned to false worship to move ahead without God's blessing, and suffered loss, this despite calling it a "festival to Jehovah." (Exodus 32) May we individually and collectively come to give careful attention to doing things in agreement with true love, that we may become united by divine precepts or standards, loyal to the God of true, loving loyalty, Jehovoez!(1John 4:8,16)! FURTHER REMARKS : Regarding the theme of the above post, many realize that the Son of God above began rulership of God's Kingdom in 1914, but this began a period God's word terms the 'last days', as described in both 2Timothy 3:1-5 and Matthew 24-25. But it was clear that the time period would conclude, with better times ahead! There were prophecies indicative of this, but how distinctive would this time be, according to God's word? God's Son Joshuaz (Jesus) once said, even when heads of the people were doubting this one's identity, responded to their question about the timing or coming of God's Kingdom, responded, NIV: 'The coming of the Kingdom of God is not something that can be observed, nor will people say, 'Here it is', or 'There it is', because the kingdom of God is in your midst.' In their case, the Son of God was before them, but at the time they really weren't acknowledging his authority or future kingship. In time, however, evidence would become clear of God's intervention, and His blessing upon mankind. Recall Israel coming out of Egypt, under Moses leadership, blessed by God. They were eventually to enter the Land of Promise, despite literal wars, whereas God much prefers Christian ways today, with wars against wrongdoing, hatred, and so forth, rather than against others, or one another. Still, when they entered this 'Promised Land,' was it to instantly be Paradise, or was there at least some work to do, even after the warfare? God had worked among them, helping them learn many things about faith and respect for Him and Joshua (taught by Moises, as his right hand companion), with other heads or representatives, for one another, for the property and things of each other, having the Lawl of God and so forth. These things, like Christian teachings today, made possible conditions blessed by God. Yet no doubt some work was still necessary to make things fully as God would want, yet they were no doubt happy to work together to accomplish God's will together. Likewise today, to make the world the condition that Christ for instance promised the wrongdoer next to him, when he said ' Truly I tell you today, you will be with me in Paradise .' Regarding the placement of the comma after 'today': He had died that day, in the case of the first God's Son literally, in the second Son, a figurative death, being separated from Christian life such as regarding associated businesses and stores, for parts of 3 days (but 'a day for a year, a day for a year', a Bible principle or standard) unable to purchase such good, clean, healthy, and lovingly made products reflective of divine wisdom and blessing. Thus the earth has begun to be become the Paradise God has promised, but with some work remaining, before promised resurrections and other blessings might come about on a greater scale. _____GA[4] GOLDEN APPLES In the News...Increased complications of pregnancy in black mothers--this article offers practical help with many such concerns, that you may discuss with your doctor. MIRACLE OF BIRTH, SUPPORTING MOTHER'S HEALTH AND BABY'S DEVELOPMENT Psalm 139:16 "Your eyes even saw me as an embryo; All its parts were written in your book Regarding the days when they were formed, Before any of them existed." Psalm 127:1a,3 "Unless Jehovoez builds the house, It is in vain that its builders work hard on it...Look! Sons are an inheritance from Jehovoez; The fruit of the womb is a reward." MIRACLE OF BIRTH . The miracle of birth should underscore God's right to guide our lives, and a child should be considered just as much God's as our own, to be raised with respect for God's word and with His love. RELY ON GOD DAILY . Realizing the importance of the mother maintaining reasonable health during time of pregnancy, how important to look to God above, praying to Him daily, to have His guidance to help ensure success! He has great power to assist, even in matters of health that may threaten proper development or the mother's ability for a safe birth. STAY HYDRATED . This is more challenging than many realize, but nutrients received from foods outlined below should at least assist with doing so. An important thing to realize is that most processed beverages add very little to your hydration level, and might be viewed more as concentrates rather than ready for boosting hydration levels. You should pray about the matter, and add a good spring water to your cup when using store-bought juices and tea, for instance. The water should be even 2-3 times the amount of the normal drink, but you then may wish adding some additional sugar, arcane or agave to make up the flavor. You will likely then add about 10-15% to your hydration level with that drink. You should also begin the day with a 1/2 to 1 cup of spring water, to which you may add a little pure aloe vera juice. There are some parts of the body that typically are not hydrated without some regular intake of a good spring water by itself, or with a pure aloe vera juice added, which contributes toward good gut and body health. HEALTHY CHOICES . Below is a list of proven delicious and nourishing foods, meals, or snacks that can assist a healthy pregnancy and could be possibly considered by various food banks as worthy foods to provide for an expecting mother. Such a pregnancy and birth should be so enlightening and rewarding to a young woman. Spir-Vanilla Malted Milkshake: Milk & Natural vanilla ice cream or a little raw honey and a true cane sugar/Arcane to sweeten, and including nonfat dry milk powder and 1/2-1 tsp of Spirulina powder. Sweet works Oatmeal: Oatmeal fixed as on package of Quaker oats, with unsalted butter, raw honey, brown sugar, half and half, walnuts and/or pecans, almonds, raisins or craisins, and perhaps maple syrup. Cold cereal, (preferably a selection with NO inorganic calcium carbonate used as a supposed calcium boost) might also be of value, especially with bananas and perhaps raisins, and possibly Flax seed meal or Wheat germ for a nourishing boost. Fruit Smoothies, with 1 Tsp-1 TB Walnut oil Sliced Apples and Bananas, perhaps canned peaches, possibly with raisins and craisins, and/or Banana Bread Unrefrigerated Peanut Butter or that mixed with Hydrogenated Oils are NOT to be used due to potential toxic Mold Celery sticks with Almond butter Salads with walnuts and pumpkin or sunflower seeds, with craisins and good dressing, such as Ranch or Catalina. Add whole grain breads, muffins, etc. with unsalted butter and wholesome jams. Whole or Frozen Potatoes (instead of Tots use Crinkle Fries), fixed numerous ways. Healthy meats and other foods may also contribute much to a healthy pregnancy. Whole Rice combines well with Chicken or Legumes for complete protein. Above are More Calming Alkaline Food and Protein Choices, Below are Other Healthful Options. ____ Healthy eggs prepared as desired, with shells washed/treated as if for Salmonella Potatoes may also combine well with Eggs. Kefir Evidently Organic corn works well with meats like Beef, Pork, and Turkey, but limit corn consumption until or unless sure it is completely clear of Atrazine, or it's effects are minimal, as this is causing several complications, hormonal and otherwise. I initiated work on a new fertilizer that reduces it's presence in the soil, reduced or eliminates it's uptake by plants including corn, and contributes to healthy plants protecting against it's effects, along with arrangements/agreements to make it affordable and quickly implement it's usage. FURTHER NOTES . By replacing less nutritious choices with foods like these, more nourishment can come to mother and baby. This is just a supportive list--consult your doctor for your specific needs nutritionally through the terms of your pregnancy. Also two more considerations: (1) Be alert to removing pollutants that your body may somehow be receiving on a regular basis. (2) Be aware as well that some medications can actually hamper liver function, which affects the process of digestion and lessens availability or absorption of the beneficial nutrients found in the list above. Check with your doctor, and with him consider healthful support such as Milk Thistle and pregnancy-safe remedies for kidney function. Avoid so-called milks still using "Calcium carbonate" or chalk as a supposed calcium booster--this form of inorganic rock is not intended for human nourishment, and may contribute to blockages of arteries and kidneys. The confusion has been in it's reacting with an overly acidic body, to lessen bone loss. It is plant calcium, such as in Kale or that found in organic dairy products that the body assimilates and uses properly, to build bone. Also, the Spirulina powder mentioned and Kelp can be some of the more important of these foods, as they may assist with ensuring several key nutrients supporting even healthy digestion and metabolism. If absorption seems to be an issue, consider taking some with a vinaigrette or vinegar dressing such as French (best flavor) once or more daily. If doing so, another important supplement you should then be able to take without concern over sodium levels is sodium bicarbonate, which could be added (1/8 tsp) once daily to a juice or tea drink, then if desired also to a soda having seltzer water added. Another way to get bicarbonate into the diet is with the spices paprika and turmeric. Paprika, especially to help with sodium concerns, can be added to most meats and meat sauces, while turmeric (containing magnesium bicarbonate) is good with rice, beans, and soups, for instance. Also, don't forget to regularly ask for God's blessing on your efforts! _____GA[5] PEPPER SPICE MIX, UPDATED One of the hallmarks of this segment, by scripture, is the proverb at 22:3: "The (foresighted) shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself..." Not long ago it was reported that even in the U.S., more worldwide, there were still hundreds dying of COVID daily--Here is one simple way to help all of us to lessen this danger, at least somewhat. Some spice mixes like this one can really save some lives--not all have had effective vaccines or their booster--let's do what we can so ourselves or our neighbors may have more protection from potential harm, at least until the danger has subsided. This mixture has been modified slightly to be even more powerful and possibly life-saving! PEPPER SPICE MIX, etc .: At this time of spotty Coronavirus presence, there a few simple things that can help everyone to stave this off and get back on track to conquering this threat to our lives, health, and quality of life. When you're at a restaurant, if going in with a facemask, right now even if vaccinated and boosted, you may remove it when you receive a drink to begin drinking. It has been found that if someone is either EATING or DRINKING something at least once every minute, there is a GREATLY REDUCED transmission rate of coronavirus, but still honor requirements of the restaurant and locally. A NOTE on BLACK PEPPER--It has been found that adding black pepper to a dish, like some other spices, can combat coronavirus within a person's body--but only if it has been fermented properly, without a fungus like Aspergillus Niger, which has been actually contributing to susceptibility to Coronavirus. The fungal strain Saccharomyces Boulardii promotes human health, and the familiar spice brand McCormick is one of those recommended. Why not beseech God in prayer as to whether the available pepper is acceptable, and if unsure, just leave it out. This applies just as well to the following formula, though the other powerful spices likely overcome the issue. Here is a spice mix you can use at home, or possibly take with you. One HIGHLY EFFECTIVE combination is PAPRIKA with TURMERIC and BLACK PEPPER (NOT WHITE PEPPER), then smaller amounts of both CINNAMON and GROUND CLOVES spice, half and half, each one tenth the amount of each of the other spices, the cinnamon being the most important of the two, in total a 5:5:5:1 mixture. In other words, equal amounts of the first three, then 1/5 that amount of the combination of both Cinnamon (adding potent anti-germ activity and Cloves spice (a pungent spice that may be needed to protect from parasitic infection, which may be as much as about 10% involvement in current coronavirus infections). Do not discount how powerful this combination truly can be. **I NOW RECOMMEND ADDING CRUSHED RED PEPPER AS A FLAVOR ENHANCER, at double the same amount of paprika, etc. Thus the total ratios would be 10:5:5:5:1.** If you wish, you may add Light Brown (Cane) Sugar, about half of the total volume of the spice mix--it doesn't lessen the effectiveness, but could increase caking a little, so only use if the holes are large enough. With larger holes to sprinkle, you could add the brown sugar up to equal parts spice and sugar. You should find the flavor agreeable in proper amounts, when used on many dishes, esp. combined with dressings, etc. If you don't have any of these spices on hand, please acquire what you are missing. Use this on pasta dishes, potatoes, meat, vegetables or whatever dish you can deem appropriate. One more, even if none of these are available, GARLIC and garlic powder are also powerfully antiviral and can make a difference as well. You may also find CRUSHED RED PEPPER available in some restaurants, and like garlic, it can be effective against the virus. ONE MORE suggestion to consider: Curry powder has it's benefits when it comes to some health concerns. For this reason and as an alternative for flavor enhancement, you might try adding a fresh Curry Powder, about 1/4 the entire amount of the Pepper Spice Mix already made without the brown sugar. This will make it 1/5 of the overall recipe, and is more than enough to enhance the flavor. Choose either plain, with the brown sugar, or with the Curry powder, not combined. If for some dishes you're looking for mainly a Curry Powder flavor with the benefits of the Pepper Spice mix, do not go beyond 1/3 Curry Powder in the overall mixture. IMPORTANT NOTE : For some time now the benefits of receiving bicarbonates, primarily sodium (i.e., baking soda) have been increasingly understood, advocated, and utilized. This has become life-saving, and needs further use. The Pepper Spice mix I've been for some time promoting includes both Paprika and Turmeric, which we now know builds within the body both Sodium and Magnesium Bicarbonate. Bicarbonates, which are part of the saltiness of Ocean Sea water, are missing from our diet through some food and beverage processing, for instance, some even intended to protect us from harm. But spices such as these mentioned, and adding plain baking soda, such as half of 1/8 teaspoon (1/16 tsp), to an occasional processed beverage, are some ways to bolster our defenses. CARDIAC ARREST, ETC . It is now known that First Responders, EMTs, Fire and Rescue Personnel, and others of us can carry a simple mixture of 1:2, Turmeric and Paprika (1/3, 2/3) to have on hand, 1 teaspoon of which can actually revive a person who has gone into cardiac arrest due to low body levels of bicarbonates, which in many areas is now among the top causes of this medical emergency. Key, however, is afterward building up body levels, such as with continued use of the Pepper Spice mix above or other recommendations by a victim's physician(s), which have even proved to aid healing of other life-threatening conditions. UPDATE : Adding Curry Powder to the above mixture can additionally revive possibly 1/4 unconscious victims (not in cardiac arrest). The recommended amount in this emergency case is equal parts of the Turmeric-Paprika mix--thus a new ratio of 1:2:3 (Turmeric, Paprika, Curry Powder). While this could be given as an all-in-one for both conditions, at 2 level teaspoons, an alternative for experienced medical personnel is to determine between cardiac arrest and unconsciousness, with absolute certainty, give 1 level teaspoon of the TP for cardiac victim (who may wish to speak or move but are unable to), or the same amount (1 tsp) of the CP for unconsciousness (having lost all awareness entirely). Bear in mind, however, that even with CP, some victims may also be low in bicarbonate, and benefit from TP. Again, all three together may be used, given as (2) level teaspoons. However, this mixture is not as long-lasting (stable) as when the TP and CP are kept in separate containers or jars. SALTUDAY . Also, as with the exclusive day for making genuine rye bread, coming from the 8 Day Calendar blessed by God, another day called Saltuday benefits one greatly from a generous use of salt only on this day, which may come in several forms, such as chamomile (organic sodium), which like celery, and any soy sauce, including General Tso's, promotes healthy table salt assimilation, and peppermint teas (magnesium salt, also promoting circulation and enzymatic activity), fenugreek (sodium, but functioning much like small faux appendixes, capturing excess oxygen), sometimes added to fruit juice or soda, and others, and table salt itself, as well as kelp, an iodine salt that can also be added to fruit juice and soda, preferably the new Spiced Cola, which God's spirit blessed in 2020 for helping rid people of Coronavirus, under various names. Also, dairy use brings a calcium salt, such as most cottage cheese, sour cream, and most whole milk, organic half and half, and selected organic yogurts. _____(2) Psalm Select _____PS[1] PSALM SELECT PSALM 15, alternate translation. 1 LORD [Jehovaz], who can live in your sacred tent? A wise son makes his father rejoice, But a foolish son is the grief of his mother. 2 The treasures gained by wrongdoing will be of no benefit, But righteousness is what rescues from death. 3 Jehovoez will not cause the upright one to go hungry, But he will deny the crooked what they crave. 4 Idle hands will cause poverty, But diligent hands bring riches. 5 The son acting with insight gathers the crop in summer, But the son acting shamefully is fast asleep during the harvest." Pro10:1 How does Solomon begin? With encouragement for a son to become wise, making his father rejoice, and not causing grief to his mother. What fine reasons for any person to take to heart God's wise counsel! You will thus be gaining "heart," or good motive. How delighted good and loving parents are to find each of their precious children delighting in divine wisdom and the doing of right as God instructs us! And what a happy future this will lead to as all obedient mankind learns God's ways of true peace and happiness! "2 The treasures gained by wrongdoing will be of no benefit, But righteousness ("godly law") is what rescues from death." Pro10:2 God can see to it that there is no lasting value in anything obtained by violating His divine standards, yet we should bear in mind that God's standards include mercy where it may be extended by Him in His good judgement, particularly where genuine repentance is shown over some past error(s). Thus, where an endeavor may have not been blessed by God initially, it may in time receive His blessing under certain circumstances. On the other hand, from the beginning accepting God's standards and choosing to live by them is far better, and means life to those doing so, at times even protecting one(s) from untimely death. Also, helping others to learn and practice what is right in God's eyes can "rescue them"--restore their life spiritually, preserving their hope of eternal life by God's kindness! "3 Jehovoez will not cause the upright one to go hungry, But he will deny the crooked what they crave." Pro10:3 The one keeping God's ways, treasuring His commands and standards, will pray and have what is needed in the way of food and life's provisions. As Joshuaz (Jesus) declared in the Sermon on the Mount, at Matthew 6:33, "Keep on, then, seeking first God’s righteousness and the Kingdom, and all these other things will be added to you." Notice, it is both things we are to give priority to--God's righteousness--aiming to maintain integrity to God, blameless obedience, and the Kingdom, which often involves sacrifices we make in serving God. (It has been indicated that God’s righteousness is what should appear first in this Bible verse, by proper Greek translation). An important Bible principle was stated by Samuel: "Look! To obey is better than a sacrifice--to pay attention than the fat of rams!" Saul's serious pattern of disobedience led to God's selection of David as King. May we thus treasure godly obedience, that Jehovoez may then look upon any of our sacrifices as pleasurable! Also, David himself acknowledged about God's upright servants: "I was once young and now I am old, But I have not seen anyone upright abandoned, Nor his children looking for bread." (Psalm 37:25). May we thus rejoice to obediently love and honor God and His loving will for mankind, and continue to receive of His blessings and support! "4 Idle hands will cause poverty, But diligent hands bring riches. 5 The son acting with insight gathers the crop in summer, But the son acting shamefully is fast asleep during the harvest." Pro10:4-5 Such lovers of God need to learn diligence. This is defined by Merriam Webster (2018) as "steady, earnest, and energetic effort." Often, a lazy one has been praised too much for having knowledge of something, rather than for using that knowledge by working to benefit others. Commend especially young ones who use their knowledge to help others in some practical way. We should also keep our eyes on the blessings and rewards of hard work, such as the lasting sustenance that can be obtained by harvest work. Acting with insight, or empathy, seeing how our work can truly benefit others--not just ourselves--can aid proper unselfish motivation. (Still, in a world where not all are completely trustworthy, young ones need good training from parents or guardians, with a lovely desire to help others, that they not place themselves in any needlessly threatening circumstance—of course, according to age and level of experience or prudence.) _____PC[2] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 19:1-3: "1 It is better to be poor and walk in integrity Than to be mischievous and speak lies. 2 A person without knowledge is not good, And the one who acts rashly is sinning. 3 It is a man’s own foolishness that distorts his way, And his heart becomes enraged against Jehovoez." Pro19:1 While we know, and Proverbs shows, there are problems associated with being poor or destitute, still in such a state many realize their need to rely on God and walk His way, keeping integrity, which includes being honest in all things. By remaining so, God can bless such a person and help them have what they need, until they can become more prosperous. David said, at Psalm 37:25, that he had not seen "anyone upright abandoned, nor his children looking for bread." The mischievous one justifies his own rejection of discipline by clinging to lies, which he will speak to others, as he loves declaring his own ideas, rather than listening to much needed counsel. This, of course, can and should change, for his own benefit and that of others! "2 A person without knowledge is not good, And the one who acts rashly is sinning." Pro19:2 It is not good to be without knowledge, especially the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5 shows how a person can find the "knowledge of God" and the godly fear of Jehovoez, respect and reverence for Him as our Creator. We need such knowledge of God and His ways that we might be obedient, and avoid acting rashly. We need to be in the habit of thinking through our decisions, thinking of the consequences of our actions, before jumping into something and regretting what we've done. If we are in the habit of jumping into a course of action without thinking ahead, this is in itself a sin. This should thus alert us to some likely influence, such as a theory, movie, song, etc. that may present thoughts as coming from our feelings (turning one’s thinking inside-out) rather than feelings being based upon our thoughts, which enables genuine self-control and discipline of ourselves and our God-given minds.) "3 It is a man’s own foolishness that distorts his way, And his heart becomes enraged against Jehovoez." Pro19:3 By not realizing what God's word has to say about something, we may act foolishly. This can result in problems and difficulties that could cause some to become angry and actually blame God. This is not His fault--He encourages us to become familiar with His word so that we can know how to live in a right way and avoid many problems in life. He is "the One teaching you to benefit yourself, the One guiding you in the way you should walk. If only you would pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river and your righteousness like the waves of the sea." Knowing God's perfect lawl can bring abundant, at times overflowing peace and the practice of doing right that is constant, like ocean waves. What blessings await lovers of God and His word! _____PC[3] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 10:6-10: "6 Blessings are on the head of the upright one, But the mouth of the crooked conceals violence. 7 The memory of the upright one is due for a blessing, But the name of the crooked will rot. 8 The wise-hearted person will accept instructions, But the one speaking foolishly will be trodden down. 9 The one walking in integrity will walk in security, But the one making his ways crooked will be found out. 10 The one who slyly winks his eye causes grief, And the one who speaks foolishly will be trodden down." (Pro10:6) Those pursuing a right course will have God's blessing on their efforts and activity. "It is the blessing of Jehovoez that makes one rich, and he adds no pain with it." (Prove 10:22). Those bad at heart, however, could deceptively speak the right things, covering over their violent hatred for others. What an important contrast to make early on in these proverbial sayings! How important it is to seek to practice what is truly right before God, having His blessing and approval. Recall that Joshuaz (Jesus) said that he did NOT come to "destroy" or do away with the Mosaic Law, but to FULFILL it—satisfy, make it more complete, or abound. (Matth 5:17). We learn much from that lawl, although now Christian principles and standards show a better way of applying it, and holding to what is right by God, keeping that LawL in a Christian way, aligned with Christ's teachings. The ransom of Christ, while providing for abundant mercy over past sin, is not intended to cause dismissal of sin—rather, there is a pattern of obedience to God and His lawl that all should aim to follow. "7 The memory of the upright one is due for a blessing, But the name of the crooked will rot." (Pro10:7) Making a good name with God, seeking His honor before our own, pursuing His will first in life, will bring His blessing and allow us to have a good reputation before God-fearing persons, a name with God that can last into eternity. Putting Him first, God 'opens His hand and satisfies the desire of every living thing.' (Psalm 145:16). Those intentionally disregarding God, wrongly pursuing a selfish course will not have God's favor, and will not make a lasting name for themselves. Again, important lessons early on in Proverbs! If we want a good reputation before others that can truly last, let us take God's side and trust Him, holding firmly to His word through Christ and upright lawls and standards, even if besmirched by ones temporarily as in a system still marred by ungodliness. God and Christ will lovingly see to it's correction! "8 The wisehearted person will accept instructions, But the one speaking foolishly will be trodden down." (Pro10:8) As we grow in godly wisdom, we gain a wise heart that can accept and appreciate God's guidance. Foolishness, on the other hand, does not contribute to respect for God's lawl, and those unrepentantly holding to such a foolish course could mislead others by their crooked thinking and conduct. The foolish one disregards God's ways, preferring his own ideas. Recall, from Proverbs 1, that it was disrespecting all of God's discipline and reproof that would lead to disaster, saying "They refused my advice; They disrespected all my reproof. 31 So they will bear the consequences of their way, And they will be glutted with their own counsel. For the waywardness of the naive will kill them, And the complacency of fools (being satisfied with their own ways) will destroy them. But the one listening to me will dwell in security And be undisturbed by the dread of calamity.”" They thus need more understanding of the consequences of good and evil, to develop more hatred for what is bad, in the healthy fear or hoss of God. "9 The one walking in integrity will walk in security, But the one making his ways corrupt will be found out." (Pro10:9) We need to learn to keep integrity to God, holding to His right standards in life in spite of trials. We thus walk in security under God's spiritual protection, looking forward to life under His rule, largely free of ungodly pressure to violate His standards. On the other hand, those only pretending to practice what is right, while secretly violating God's peaceful and loving standards, cannot keep up their cover indefinitely. How vital to be honest about our mistakes and seek help to correct any wrong tendencies we may have! Born imperfect, conceived in sin, and living in an imperfect world, practically all have a battle to wage against such wrong thinking! But each one coming to rely upon God can win, pleading for His guidance and wisdom, coming to greatly esteem Him, being in hoss of His greatness, such ones are moved to want to be close to God, not disappointing Him. But He's not disappointed, as we do our best to hold to what is right, even if we occasionally miss the target unintentionally! Consider, for example Psalm 103:2-5, 8-11: "Let me praise Jehovoez; May I never forget all that he has done. 3 He forgives all your errors And heals all your ailments; 4 He reclaims your life from the pit And crowns you with his loyal love and mercy. 5 He satisfies you with good things all your life, So that your youth is renewed like that of an eagle...8 Jehovoez is merciful and compassionate, Slow to anger and abundant in loyal love. 9 He will not always find fault, Nor will he stay resentful forever. 10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor has he repaid us what our errors deserve. 11 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So great is his loyal love toward those who (respectfully) fear him." "10 The one who slyly winks his eye causes grief, And the one who speaks foolishly will be trodden down." (Pro10:10) Such ones, showing partiality, concealing hatred for others, cause much grief--they should shun deception and trickery, and appreciate God's love for them, moving them to walk God's way with an honest heart, speaking the truth in their heart. (Psalm 15:1-2) Thus, the saying that "the one speaking foolishly will be trodden down" is mentioned twice in the last three verses. Clearly, God wants us to understand and avoid speaking as though it is enough to be satisfied with our own way of thinking, without putting forth any effort to learn or appreciate what God thinks about matters. Proverbs 3:5-8 says "Trust in Jehovoez with all your heart, And do not rely on ‘your own understanding’ (or, ‘what you think you know’, GNT). 6 In all your ways take notice of him (‘consider His view’), And he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not become wise in your own eyes. Fear Jehovoez and turn away from bad. 8 It will be a healing to your body And refreshment for your bones." _____PC[4] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 10:11-16: "11 The mouth of the upright one is a source of life, But the mouth of the crooked conceals violence. 12 Hatred is what stirs up contentions, But love covers over all transgressions. 13 Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning person, But the rod is for the back of one lacking good sense. 14 Those who are wise treasure up knowledge, But the mouth of the fool invites ruin. 15 The wealth of a rich man is his fortified city. The ruin of the poor is their poverty. 16 The activity of the upright one leads to life; But the produce of the crooked one leads to sin." (Pro10:11-12) The upright one typically has true love as his motive or aim, keeping God's lawl out of love for Him, and with love for others. Such a person desires to share knowledge of God with others, helping them find and stay on the path of endless life. Psalm 37:30 says "The mouth of the upright one imparts wisdom, and his tongue speaks about justice." However, hatred is in the heart of the crooked, therefore his mouth conceals the violence that is inside. Such a one needs to fear or revere God, realizing His great power and purpose, and let hatred be replaced with love for God, experiencing His mercy, and love for others (Psalm 103). "13 Wisdom is found on the lips of the discerning person, But the rod is for the back of one lacking good sense." (Pro10:13) The discerning one has come to have a grasp on the truth in life, seeing the good, while hating the bad. To gain the proper fear or hoss of God, according to Proverbs 2, both discernment and understanding are needed. We need to learn to tell the difference between things, to judge between true and false, right and wrong, good and bad, and so on--"make sure of the more important things." Such a discerning person is able to speak and share much in the way of wisdom. But one lacking good sense needs good discipline to find needed correction. "14 Those who are wise treasure up knowledge, But the mouth of the fool invites ruin." (Pro10:14) The wise ones treasure especially the right kind of knowledge. A foolish one may learn and speak only of things that contribute little to a good course in life. Here is where understanding comes into view. As we acquire good discernment, and grow in understanding, which involves seeing God's view of matters-- we're thus better able to absorb important, especially divine knowledge. Another proverb says: "The scoffer (belittling fault-finder) seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the person showing understanding." (Proverbs 14:6). May we thus give God first place and be considerate, respectful of others as we seek to understand them with empathy, and seek to understand more about God's loving purpose, and life itself to His honor. "15 The wealth of a rich man is his fortified city. The ruin of the poor is their poverty." (Pro10:15) A wealthy person often looks to money as his primary source of protection, as a "fortified city." Even a poor person may not be looking to God as a refuge. May both learn to rely upon God more than all else, seeking God's Kingdom and His righteousness first (obedience to God with integrity) as Christ instructed (Matt 6:25-33). Doing so, the necessities of life, and perhaps much more, will be provided by God, while putting forth reasonable efforts to make a living as needed. "16 The activity of the upright one leads to life; But the produce of the crooked one leads to sin." (Pro10:16) As Joshuaz (Jesus) also stated, a good tree produces fine fruit, upright ones speaking and doing things leading themselves and others to life, while a rotten tree produces worthless fruit, crooked ones speaking and doing things that lead themselves and others into sinful practices, causing headaches, heartaches, grief and troubles, distancing ones from God and others, often requiring intervention from parents, teachers, or spiritual shepherds to assist ones to get back on the path of eternal life. While caring about all, we still need to guard our closest associations from those promoting sinful or harmful practices, so that instead we may "follow the way of good people, and stay on the paths of the honest, For only the upright will reside in the earth, And the blameless will remain in it." (Prove 2:20-21). _____PC[5] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Prove 10:17 As we've discussed previously, discipline is not synonymous with punishment. Rather, it is loving correction, with the word coming from the same root as "disciple", bringing to mind teaching and training. Given out of genuine love, a child should be moved to listen and heed the discipline. Any punishment should be sparing, with exceptional effort to ensure the child realizes the loving motive behind it, with clear emphasis on the lesson(s) to be learned, and the way to avoid such punishment in the future. In all actuality, the term "punishment" itself is worth re-examining, as a "pun", a play on words that offers correction in a loving way, is often enough to provoke a change of heart in a sensitive child. Reproof is strong discipline, needed in certain circumstances. Jehovoez said regarding the wayward nation of Israel that He would discipline them "to the proper degree," and by no means leave them unpunished. (Jeremiah 30:11). Hebrews 12:6 says "those whom Jehovoez loves he disciplines, in fact, he scourges everyone whom he receives as a son." Thus, all of us at times need loving correction! If we refuse, especially strong correction we truly need, we not only hurt ourselves, but as the verse says, our continued stubbornness in an erring course can have a negative effect on others, possibly 'leading them astray.' "18 The one who conceals his hatred speaks lies, And the one spreading malicious reports is mischievous." Prove 10:18 One trying to cover up their hatred for another is clearly being deceitful, and will therefore 'speak lies' seeking the cover-up. While it is no good to hate another human being made "in God's image," the degree of hatred or dislike can vary, and approaching him before it gets "out of hand" (whether yourself or others when appropriate) might help him have more love for that person and possibly others. While we need to be forgiving if we want our own mistakes to be forgiven by God, we should also approach a person if he has committed a sin or serious wrong, to determine the truth, and straighten things out one way or another. All are to seek peace with one another, and not allow hard feelings to fester! Joshuaz (Jesus) said "Go, make peace with your brother, and afterward offer up your gift", indicating that such peace is more important to God than sacrifices we may be presenting to Him. But we should also be giving to one another the benefit of the doubt, not assuming that another has no interest in peace, our peace with God and with each other. Prayers for one being disliked somehow can also have a powerful effect, especially in the case of one finding fault if he's seeking to correct his heart, seeking greater understanding or compassion for this one. Proverbs 4:23 says "Above all the things that you guard, safeguard your heart, For out of it are the sources of life." Again, harboring hatred or resentment for another, refusing to forgive them for some slight or offense, can hinder God's own forgiveness toward the resenting one. Recall in Joshuaz's model prayer, he said "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." (Matth 6:12). Such resentment and hatred may move one to 'spread malicious (or slanderous) reports' about another, seeking to harm one's reputation. Nevertheless, if some harbor, or seek to cover-up, hatred, and gradually become more deceptive, speaking lies, they're continuing a venture into the path of the crook, lacking God's favor. On the other hand, it is basically "impossible for God to lie." He is full of selfless genuine love for mankind, and full of "underserved kindness and truth," as is the Son. May all aim to imitate our loving God and Father, Jehovoez, and His Son. "19 When words are many, transgression cannot be avoided, But whoever controls his lips acts discreetly." Prove 10:19 Clearly, we need to avoid talking too much. It is far better to be a good listener, than to merely always be talking about what is in our heart. Proverbs 18:2 says "A mischievous person takes no pleasure in understanding; He would rather disclose what is in his heart." So such ones need to learn to see the big picture of things, and to see how smaller pieces of information fit together to make the whole, thus 'acquiring an understanding heart.' (Prove 8:5). Then this one can know the questions to ask, to add to his understanding, rather than doing all the talking. Thus much transgression can be avoid, as one "controls his lips" and acts discreetly. Such self-control is also necessary to avoid excessive speech, and is part of the fruitage of God's holy spirit, which God gives "to those asking Him." (Luke 11:13). "20 The tongue of the upright one is like the finest silver, But the heart of the crooked one is worth little." Prove 10:20 It is "out of the heart's abundance" that the "mouth speaks." (Luke 6:45). Thus the upright are inclined to speak lovely, right and upbuilding things, with a tongue of "choice silver." Proverbs 25:11 says "The right word at the right time is like golden apples in silver jewelry." (NIRV) Perhaps the advice itself is golden, often depicting divine things, while the silver jewelry carries these words, like the tongue carries words. Silver is also known for purity, having cleansing properties, and scripturally is associated with the mind or thinking processes. There are cases where someone's mind or thinking has been or is being affected by certain chemicals, improper drug use, and similar things, even by cross-gender affects and hormonal disturbances. We should seek the cause of any wayward or crooked thinking that is not simply a product of selfish behavior. "The crooked man out of his crooked treasure sends out crooked things." (Matthew 12:35). Thus in that condition his heart is not producing much for the benefit of others, and needs repentance and a turning to God and His word as a Source of divine wisdom and help. Recall James 1, saying "If any one of you is lacking in wisdom, let him keep on asking God, who gives generously to all and without reproaching, and it will be given him, but let him keep asking in faith..." We all need to trust God and His Son, who want to help us rather than condemn! (John 3:16-17) "21 The lips of the honest one nourish many, But the foolish die for lack of sense." Prove 10:21 "The tongue of the wise makes good use of knowledge," says Proverbs 15:2, as honest ones "nourish many" with spiritually helpful and encouraging words. Such ones often promote understanding of spiritual things, that people may grow in their relationships with God and other humans, and in their own spiritual well-being. On the other hand, some ignore spiritual instruction, lack sense, and have no spiritual life in themselves, and may even suffer physically with a heart straying from sensibleness. Let's honestly examine matters of life, including those regarding our spirit within, heart and mind, and use such knowledge to promote, and not harm, life. _____PC[6] Proverbs 30:20-23: "20 This is the way of an adulterous woman: She eats, she wipes her mouth; Then she says, “I have done nothing wrong.” 21 There are three things that make the earth shudder And four things it cannot endure: 22 When a slave rules as king, When a fool is glutted with food, 23 When a hated woman is taken as a wife, And when a servant girl takes the place of her mistress." [:20] An adulteress woman is largely unaware of the devastating spiritual and usually physical consequences of her behavior. She thus is seriously lacking in understanding, at least as regards true wisdom and spiritual matters, even if very knowledgeable of other things. However, she is aware that what she is doing is wrong in God's eyes, therefore she is morally foolish. For these reasons the proverbs mentions one who is "loud. She is ignorant and knows absolutely nothing." With regards to godly knowledge and insight, she is desperately lacking, otherwise she would be downright opposed to God, so very unappreciative of His divine gifts and His right to guide us in the best use of such. A loyal marriage is truly a divine gift, and one that God looks to bless eternally. An adulteress woman is disregarding such loyalty and faithfulness, perhaps fearing the responsibilities of loving someone in such a faithful and true way, but seemingly unaware of the true happiness that is found by such. [:21-23] The "earth" of mankind cannot endure these four things mentioned under inspiration of God: A slave ruling as king: A genuine king typically has a vast understanding of divine matters, people and relationships, the ways of true peace and happiness, as well as matters of life that will assist him to make exceptional decisions regarding the true needs of his people, to maintain their safety, security, economic stability and general welfare or happiness. Some kings in Israel still took the throne at a young age, Josiah being a mere 8 years old. (2Chro 34:1). Yet he proved to be a faithful, exceptional king, gaining wise understanding in time. 2Chronicles 34:2 says "He did what was right in Jehovoez’s eyes and walked in the ways of David his forefather, and he did not deviate to the right or to the left." A slave often has had little need to learn of many such things, although he may have learned obedience by his faithful activity. He is nevertheless yet unsuited to represent God on the throne, and would prove ineffective attempting to do so. When a fool is glutted with food: A fool may literally overeat, as he tends to ignore divine standards of balance, reasonableness, and modesty. When boldly doing so, he may speak and act proudly, in defiance of what is truly right and good. Such may also be true figuratively, however, with regard to food of the mind or heart. One claiming to be knowledgeable, even helpful, while straying far from divine standards, is a serious corrupting threat to the minds and hearts of others, especially younger or naïve ones. Such ones are hard for a right-hearted people to bear. When a hated woman is taken as a wife: Such a woman may have gained a reputation for being unkind, disrespectful of others, even hating others, not having learned the compassion, love and respect that makes a marriage the gift that it should be. Love, and not hate, is what makes and should make a marriage what it is. If she grew up without the love of her parents or guardians, perhaps being taught abusive or even violent ways, she may require much tender care and attention before being able to give her husband and any children the affection and gentle care they themselves need. Likewise, hated persons should not largely comprise the body of an organization--otherwise it may prove of little use to the community of mankind. When a servant girl takes the place of her mistress: A servant girl should ever humbly remain subject to and respectful of her mistress, never allowing sheer, rotten jealousy to take over and cause dissension or contention. Abraham's wife Sarah was quick to complain when she realized Hagar had begun to take a superior attitude, Abraham allowing her to have Hagar dismissed from the household, although she later, at God's direction, returned and again humbled herself under Sarah's hand. What distress is caused when such ones fail to remain humble and appreciative of their blessings! God's word declares "Jealousy is rottenness to the bones" or “rotten to the core” and "wherever there are jealousy and contentiousness, there will also be disorder and every vile [or,unworthy] thing." Who should have to put up with DISORDER and EVERY UNWORTHY THING? The tenth commandment states, at Exodus 20:17, "“You must not desire your fellow man’s house. You must not desire your fellow man’s wife nor his slave man nor his slave girl nor his bull nor his donkey nor anything that belongs to your fellow man.”" Yes, one MUST NOT DESIRE...ANYTHING that BELONGS to YOUR FELLOW MAN." Should we get so caught up in minor nuances of law that we ignore the TEN Commandments written on stone tablets for the benefit of all mankind? Let us not think of STEALING, for instance, the eighth command, "You MUST NOT STEAL." May we be blessed by God for having high regard for His word, law, and requirements for eternal life! Proverbs 30:24-28 “24 Four things on earth are among the smallest, But they are instinctively wise: 25 The ants are not strong creatures, Yet they prepare their food in the summer. 26 The rock badgers are not mighty creatures, Yet they make their house in the crags. 27 The locusts have no king, Yet they all go forward in formation. 28 The gecko lizard clings with its feet, And it goes into the palace of a king.” [:24] Perhaps we may be intrigued at the wisdom such small creatures exhibit—what aspects of divine wisdom can be seen in the habits of these animals? The mention here is “instinctive” wisdom—such creatures are designed by God to act in a wise way, not growing in wisdom as humans do, but already having such wisdom built-in. We may learn much by giving attention to their habits. [:25] The tiny ants: Have you ever marveled at these small creatures? They always seem to be busy doing something, mentioned in Proverbs 6:6-8 to be examined as an antidote to laziness. Agur here mentions their gathering or preparing of food in the summer. Thus they instinctively “plan ahead,” long before the difficult winter season. Such planning by humans may ward off laziness, as the real possibility of not having food can surely motivate one to begin taking action to prevent such a situation. Thus an important aspect of divine wisdom is forethought and planning. God’s word encourages thinking and planning ahead. Proverbs 21:5 says “ 5 The plans of the diligent surely lead to success, But all who are hasty surely head for poverty.” “Hasty” ones are looking for shortcuts, not finishing work properly. The “diligent” are willing to work hard to make their plans succeed. Proverbs 16:3 alludes to something else that may be vital for real success: “3 Commit to Jehovoez whatever you do, And your plans will succeed.” Thus we need to consider Jehovoez in our plans, even praying or pleading with God over such matters. Psalm 127:1 says “Unless Jehovoez builds the house, it is in vain that its builders work hard on it...” One more thing: “22 Plans fail when there is no consultation, But there is accomplishment through many advisers.” Thus we should be humble enough to seek advice from others wherever needed. [:26] The rock badgers: While not “mighty,” still they wisely build their homes “in the crags.” Also called the rock “hyrax,” these relatively small creatures are vegetarian, and dwell in rocky areas, where they find and build holes and crevices in which they can reside and hide at any hint of danger. Thus, we too should be alert to dangers—both physical and spiritual—and prepare to avoid them, as Proverbs 22:3 suggests: “ 3 The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself, But the naïve or simple keep right on going and suffer the consequences.” We should not casually ignore warnings and dangers we may learn of—rather, we should wisely take swift action to prepare for these appropriately, that we or our loved ones and neighbors may avoid falling victim. [:27] The locusts: They go forward in formation without a king, or leader. Thus, we can wisely “go forward,” for instance when working, without the need for constant supervision by a manager. We can do this by keeping Jehovoez in mind, pleasing Him. Colossians 3:23 says “23 Whatever you are doing, work at it whole-souled as for Jehovoez, and not for men.” Thus, while we may occasionally need help, and should humbly ask for it when necessary, we should learn our tasks skillfully enough so that we may carry them out without constant need of attention or encouragement by others, being well-motivated to bring honor to God by our activity. [:28] The gecko lizard: The clinging gecko—how amazing their ability to scale a wall or even a ceiling! In some areas, they are often welcome, even in a home, as they feed on moths and mosquitoes, and are usually nocturnal creatures. Thus, they are often well-liked, carry a good reputation, and go “into the palace of a king.” Thus, may we wisely be peaceable persons, and trusting in “God’s power” to “scale a wall.” (Psalm 18:29). May we also considerately seek to benefit others in some way, with kind deeds. We also might be “skillful at” our work, and like the gecko, contribute to God’s glory, and perhaps “stand before kings.” (Prove 22:29). _____PC[7] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 19:4-8: "4 Wealth attracts many friends, But the poor man will be deserted even by his friend. 5 A false witness will not go unpunished, And the one who lies with every breath will not escape. 6 Many seek the favor of a noble, And everyone is a friend to the man who gives gifts. 7 All the brothers of a poor man relegate him; How much more he is shunned by his friends! He pursues them with requests, but no one responds. 8 Whoever acquires good sense loves himself. Whoever treasures discernment will find success." (19:4) Here is another sad truth about imperfect humans. A poor person who may be treasured by God, is at times abandoned by a friend. Should we really judge another on the basis of wealth? Nearly every person could face such unfortunate circumstances at some time in their life. May we be compassionate to those in such circumstances. Also, we may be understanding toward those who are distressed spiritually, lacking what they should know to have good relationships with others. Let's seek to help them know, as they desire to please and love God and others. "5 A false witness will not go unpunished, And the one who lies with every breath will not escape." (19:5) One who judges on the basis of wealth, may be tempted with a bribe to give a false witness, but God hates a lie, and giving a false testimony is even a violation of one of the Ten Commandments. May we seek to live with honest integrity, ever searching for the truth to live by. Also, may we look to God to help and deal justly with habitual or compulsive liars, usually having much difficulty turning around from such a harmful practice. "6 Many seek the favor of a noble, And everyone is a friend to the man who gives gifts." (19:6) Understandably, we all like to receive a gift from a dear friend. But we shouldn't use such gifts to bribe others in any way. Our gifts should be from the heart, regardless of how much they cost. And we should avoid the appearance of giving a gift so as to obtain some personal advantage. "7 All the brothers of a poor man relegate him; How much more he is shunned by his friends! He pursues them with requests, but no one responds." (19:7) If such as person realizes he has not been relying upon God, certainly it is time to do so--seeking God's blessing and assistance to have what's needed. We should recall, as stated at Proverbs 10:22, "It is the blessing of Jehovoez that makes one rich, And He adds no pain with it." Those seeking wealth apart from God, or by wrongful practices such as stealing, cheating, or lying, are not to find benefit from such wealth, as a discipline to turn from such practices. Proverbs 10:2-3 says this: "The treasures gained by ungodliness will be of no benefit, But righteousness is what rescues from death. 3 Jehovoez will not cause the upright one to go hungry, But he will deny the unnagodly what they crave. 4 Idle hands will cause poverty, But diligent hands bring riches." So to help such ones, we should lovingly assist their faith in the Giver of Life, Jehovoez. The capable wife of Proverbs 31, for instance, "extends her palm to the lowly one, and she opens her hands to the poor." May we likewise have compassion for those in unfortunate circumstances. "8 Whoever acquires good sense loves himself. Whoever treasures discernment will find success." (19:8) Discernment is a vital quality for one wanting true wisdom. It allows us to see the difference between things--right from wrong, true from false, good from bad, wise from unwise, and serious matters of the law from lesser matters, though still required. We should become skilled at discerning such things, as this will help us be truly successful in life. It is really best to learn to discern such things early on in our development of wisdom, that we may better know what is most important to seek understanding of in life. _____PC[8] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Prove 19:9-12: "9 A false witness will not go unpunished, And the one who lies with every breath will perish. 10 It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury; How much less for a servant to rule over princes! 11 The insight of a man certainly slows down his anger, And it is beauty on his part to overlook an offense. 12 The king’s rage is like the growling of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the vegetation." (19:9) Lies are clearly among the seven things Jehovoez hates, as we find in Proverbs 6:16-19, including "a false witness who lies with every breath." How serious! He is the "God of truth" and His word says it is "impossible" for Him to lie. How we should treasure the truth, and with purity of heart and mind to see the truth clearly. While seeking to be upright and speak with an honest heart, we should still have in mind that there is "a time to be silent and a time to speak." (Eccl 3:7b). Prove 19:10 It is not fitting for a fool to live in luxury; How much less for a servant to rule over princes! (19:10) A foolish one tends not to appreciate discipline and true wisdom as much as he should. He may also tend to lack humility, which can often get him in trouble with his speech. One tending toward foolishness, therefore, does well to humble himself and give more thought to the benefits of seeking to live in harmony with God's righteous laws and standards. May we not use underhanded means to obtain riches, but rather find success in harmony with Proverbs 22:4, which says "The result of humility and the hoss of Jehovoez is riches and glory and life." Proverbs 19:11 "The insight of a man certainly slows down his anger, And it is beauty on his part to overlook an offense." (19:11) Empathy, or Insight into a situation, with compassionate comprehension, seeing the reasons for an offense, helps us to be more calm about it, and to mercifully forgive another. For instance, a woman in an office seeks information from a man, but he speaks unkindly to her. Rather than becoming irate, she seeks to understand, and notices a stain on his shirt. He then apologizes, and informs her that he had just spilled coffee on his brand new dress shirt, and proceeds to give her the information she needs. May we take this to heart, as "everyone must be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger." (James 1:19). 12 The king’s rage is like the growling of a lion, But his favor is like dew on the vegetation." (19:12) The king's power should not be underestimated or disrespected by others, whether it is power to discipline or to bring blessings to others. The king in the favor of God himself judges righteously--no truly upright and honest person should receive his disfavor, rather such conduct pleasing God and this one brings blessing from heaven. _____PC[9] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 19:12-17: "13 A brazen son brings adversity on his father, And a quarrelsome wife is like a roof that never stops leaking. 14 A house and wealth are inherited from fathers, But a discreet wife is from Jehovoez. 15 Laziness brings on a deep sleep, And a sluggish person will go hungry. 16 The one who keeps the commandment keeps his life; The one who is reckless about his ways will die. 17 The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovoez, And He will repay him for what he does." "13 A mischievous [or brazen] son brings adversity on his father, And a quarrelsome wife is like a roof that never stops leaking." (19:13) How much better to raise a wise son, one respecting God's lawl, able to comprehend it using discernment and understanding, in the true godly fear or hoss of Jehovoez, with exceeding power and love. A "nagging" or "quarrelsome" wife is disrespecting her husband, although his expressed love might be lacking as well. A good husband will look carefully into the situation, seeking how to correct it, so a difficult circumstance does not continue. It is a woman's "quiet and mild spirit" which is of great value in the eyes of God. (1PEter 3:4). Deep respect from a cherished woman is so important to the pleasing of a godly man. (EPHes 5:33). Also, the quarrelsomeness mentioned is what needs to change, as it makes it difficult to repair the leaky roof, it being an attitude that is loving a fight or winning one more than an agreement. A husband and wife can learn to aim or be seeking agreement with one another, and for it to be true and lasting, it should respect the One able to protect a good marriage, God above. "14 A house and wealth are inherited from fathers, But a discreet wife is from Jehovoez." (Pro19:14) Jehovoez is aware of a godly woman who practices discretion. It may be that all a man is needing from his wife is greater discretion in handling matters, and such a woman can look to God and His word for gaining this, handling her duties more wisely from day to day. Older youths and those not married may look to Jehovoez in prayer to find a suitable wife, possibly benefitting from Christian engagement, that they can work together in doing God's will for them each and as one, and finding delight in their companionship and eventual marriage. "15 Laziness brings on a deep sleep, And a sluggish person will go hungry." (Pro19:15) One thing a wife may have argued over is this unwise attitude of some men or husbands. What are you needing to accomplish? Do you have a to-do list, whether in mind or noted in some other way? Many have benefitted by converting it to a schedule or at least making time to do the things on your list, prioritizing them and if needed, choosing a time to accomplish several of the items. Proverbs 16:3 says "Commit to Jehovoez whatever you do, and your plans will succeed." Look to God and his word, and for youths, your parents, to determine suitable goals, short-term and long-term, then set about planning to accomplish them. Pray for God’s help to do godly things, and how to overcome obstacles with faith in Him. Break down your goals into achievable steps, determine and pray for the resources, how to acquire what’s needed, and for God’s help to achieve what is good, blessed by Him. 2Timothy 3 speaks of a godly man becoming ‘prepared for every good work.’ Reward yourself for completing steps toward your most important goals. Thus avoid laziness and sluggishness in life, learning to "find enjoyment for all [your] hard work. It is the gift of God." (Ecc.3:13). "16 The one who keeps the commandment keeps his life; The one who is reckless about his ways will die." (19:16) Clearly, one should avoid carelessness or recklessness, acting without restraint or self-control. Self-control and Christian mildness, or a gentle manner, with faith in God, should all mark the life of a true Christian, as part of the fruitage of God's holy spirit (Gal.5:22-23). Trusting in God, life may be spared, where otherwise it may have been lost. Being motivated to keep God’s word and lawl also helps avoid the laziness mentioned previously. "17 The one showing favor to the lowly is lending to Jehovoez, And He will repay him for what he does." (19:17) It is a Christian recommendation to have at least a little something on hand to help those in need (James 2:16). Some do need help to get back on their feet, even if motivated properly. Such consideration, without fanfare, will be rewarded by Jehovoez. _____PC[10] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 19:18-23 "18 Discipline your son while there is hope, And do not become responsible for his death. 19 The hot-tempered man will pay the penalty; If you try to spare him, you will have to do it again and again. 20 Listen to counsel and accept discipline, In order to become wise in your future. 21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, But the counsel of Jeohvoe' is what will prevail. 22 The desirable thing in a man is his loyal love; And it is better to be poor than to be a liar. 23 The awe of Jehovoe' leads to life; The one who has it will have a pleasant rest, free from harm." Pro 19:18 Thus parents should do all they reasonably can to raise their children in the path leading to life. Proverbs 22:6 says "Train a boy in the way he should go; Even when he grows old he will not depart from it." Yes it is possible, especially with reliance upon God, to train our children in the right way. They need godly wisdom, and if possible they should begin receiving it at a young age. The Proverbs were written, not just to educate adults, but "to impart shrewdness to the naïve, or simple; to give a young person knowledge and thinking ability." Of course, both the example and teachings of God's Son, especially in the Sermon on the Mount of Matthew 5-7, is a treasure store of lessons that children can benefit from. Publications exist that help young ones benefit from Christ's model in an accurate way, or you may narrate the stories directly from God's word, and let family members alternately read the words of Joshuaz (Jesus) and other characters. Help them visualize the accounts, putting themselves there, while offering if possible, perhaps with research publications, some background details so they can understand more clearly what took place back then. For example, when bread was being discussed, he told his disciples to "watch out for the leaven of the Pharisees and Sadducees." (Matth 16:6). You might explain how a little leaven spreads through bread dough the way sin can corrupt a large body of people. (Galat 5:9). Thus, our children so need our loving correction to prevent such sin from penetrating their precious hearts. "19 The hot-tempered man will pay the penalty; If you try to spare him, you will have to do it again and again." Pro 19:19 God is "slow to anger," or very patient, and wants us to be so as well. God's word encourages a "mildness of temper," a gentleness of spirit based on love, that treats others kindly. Try not to go past the level of agitation before thinking through the solution to a problem or how to cope with it. The quality of empathy, recently discussed in this blog, 'certainly slows down one's anger,' as it promotes a compassionate understanding of what contributed to offensive conduct. (PROve 19:11). There are consequences to losing control of one's anger, letting it go beyond agitation to using hurtful speech or in other ways causing harm that may bring consequences. If such a person has not learned self-control, then this may happen "again and again." Pray for God's spirit and its fruitage including self-control, which is vital for true Christians, especially upon learning God's laws, that they may be equipped to keep them, choosing not to violate Christian guidelines. "20 Listen to counsel and accept discipline, In order to become wise in your future." Pro 19:20 How vital to listen to counsel and discipline. Those refusing to do so may become foolish in their speech and practices. (PROve 1:7). Help especially the young to see such as given in love, offering helpful correction to them in their way of life. Thus they may happily grow in true wisdom, becoming equipped for a successful future and family life. "21 Many are the plans in a man’s heart, But the counsel of Jehovoez is what will prevail." Pro 19:21 We should look to God's word first and foremost to understand God's will now and in the future, so that our plans can be in harmony with God. Take your plans to Jehovoez in prayer, that they may be more firmly established. Since "the counsel of Jehovoez" finds success, many plans not in harmony with it will ultimately fail, so how much better to be among those "hearing the word of God and keeping it!" (Luke 11:28). "22 The desirable thing in a man is his loyal love; And it is better to be poor than to be a liar." Pro 19:22 God's word reveals that if God were identified by a single quality, that quality would be love, as 1John 4:8 says "God is love." Thus, was not man made in the "image of God?" Thus a man should set an example before others in genuine love, as encouraged and described in Christian teachings (MATth 22:37-39; 1COri 13:4-8). In Revelation, four "living creatures" were depicted as each having an outstanding attribute represented by four creature symbols. The bull, for example, depicted one's power. One of these creatures "had a face like a man's." This verse shows clearly that the virtue depicted by the man is "loyal love." Also, a poor man should make sure he is trusting in God for his needs, refusing to lie, cheat, or steal for his needs or those of his family. There are right ways to find what's needed--pray for God's help to see how to obtain necessities in a proper way, and experience God's blessing on your efforts. Thus you will continue or come to see how Jehpvoez can lift us out of dire circumstances and enable us to be satisfied with good. The Scriptures encourage all to set aside a little to be able to compassionately help someone in true need (1JOhn 3:17,18). "23 The awe of Jehovoez leads to life; The one who has it will have a pleasant rest, free from harm." Pro 19:23 The respectful, reverential "hoss of Jehovoez" is also the "beginning of wisdom" (PSAlm 111:10). Trusting God fully, as our spiritual "refuge," enables us to find real peace of mind and heart. Appreciating God's love, we are thus determined to respect Him, refusing to do anything to displease, or hurt Him in any way. "The godly fear or hoss of Jehovoez means the hating of bad." Thus we come to hate the things Jehovoez hates, knowing they result in harm. _____PC[11] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 10:22-27: "22 It is the blessing of Jehovoez (Jehovaz) that makes one rich, And He adds no pain with it. 23 Engaging in shameful conduct is like a game to the brazen one, But wisdom is for the man of discernment. 24 What the crooked one fears will come upon him; But the desire of the upright will be granted. 25 When the storm passes by, the crooked one will be no more, But the upright one is a foundation forever. 26 Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, So the lazy person is to the one who sends him. 27 The hoss of Jehovoez (Jehovaz) prolongs life, But the years of the crooked will be cut short." (10:22) One of the more familiar verses to many, it states a marvelous principle, that spiritual and potentially material wealth come from having God's blessing on our activity, by seeking His guidance and way of living. Living in accord with His righteousness, seeking His honor and glory, brings His smile of approval and favor, and He blesses us as He did Job and other faithful ones of Bible record. How we need God's blessing to be truly successful, in harmony with godly wisdom moved by love! Psalm 127:1 says "Unless Jehovaz builds the house, It is in vain that its builders work hard on it. Unless Jehovaz guards the city, It is in vain that the guard stays awake." May we also give Jehovoez (Jehovaz) the rightful praise for His blessing and benefits. Two verses, from the King James Version (KJV) perhaps sum this up: Revelation 4:11, referring to, as in verse 8, the "Lord God Almighty," says this: "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created." And Psalm 83:18 says: "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah {Jehovaz}, art the most high over all the earth." We might also notice that with God's blessing, "He adds no pain with it." Jehovoez (Jehovaz) desires our happiness and prosperity, He is in no way eager to bring harm or punishment. He only wants to lovingly correct us when necessary, and reward us for loving Him and doing right. "23 Engaging in shameful conduct is like a game to the brazen one, But wisdom is for the man of discernment." (Pro10:23) The "mischievous" or “brazen” one scripturally is not necessarily unintelligent, but while usually knowing the right thing, often chooses to ignore it. He is not understanding the big picture, and all the many reasons God gives us His good guidance in the first place. He is also not using "discernment" to distinguish right from wrong, good from bad, truth from falsehood, wise from unwise, and more serious matters of lawl from lesser matters, though still required. Thus, "the mischievous ones glorify dishonor," not concerned about a fine reputation with God, and they "hate to turn away from bad," in contrast to one with a healthy respect for God, which involves the "hating of bad." (Prove 8:13). God's word helps us learn the consequences of both good and bad decisions and actions, that we may ponder such, to come to hate what is bad in fearing to displease God, or hurt Him in any way. "24 What the crooked one fears will come upon him; But the desire of the upright will be granted. 25 When the storm passes by, the crooked one will be no more, But the upright one is a foundation forever." (10:24-25) The "crooked one" usually knows that he is doing wrong, and thus deep down fears having to answer for wrong conduct, whereas the upright have no such worries--they look forward to God's favor and rewards for doing right before Him. If only such ones would repent of their wrongdoing, and "search for Jehovaz while He may be found," calling to Him "while He proves to be near." (Isaiah 55:6-7). Thus truly turning around from their badness can bring "seasons of refreshing...from Jehovaz himself." (Acts 3:19). The "wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Joshuaz (Jesus) our Lord." Having faith in the ransom sacrifice of Christ, and hating wrong conduct, ones may no longer "fear any sudden terror Nor the storm that is coming on the crooked." (Prove 3:25). Knowing about that storm is to motivate all to heed God's instructions, preserving life. That storm comes so that true peace may be able to flourish earth-wide, without it being ruined by troublemakers. Right-hearted mankind will form the foundation of eternal peace not just on this planet, but universally, and receive whatever other blessings God may have in store for obedient ones. "26 Like vinegar to the teeth and smoke to the eyes, So the lazy person is to the one who sends him." (10:26) The lazy one often becomes such by being praised for knowledge gained, rather than for efforts made to use that knowledge for the benefit of others, to "work at good", or to "work what is good toward all, but especially toward those related to us in the faith." (1Timo 6:18; Galat 6:10). By praising youths for their efforts and accomplishments, we may help them become "diligent", leading to success and satisfaction. (Prove 21:5; 13:4). "27 The respectful fear of Jehovoez (Jehovaz) prolongs life, But the years of the crooked will be cut short." (10:27) May we cultivate the healthy dread of displeasing God, of hurting Him in any way. This fear is not morbid, as may be imagined by those believing that God would allow his beloved human creation to be tormented in punishment. When Israel fell to false worship, and began hurting their own children, Jehovoez says of the practice: "which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart." (Jerem 7:31). See the article "Finding Truth" for further discussion of God's just punishment for evildoers. Rather, we fear God by hating what He says is bad, understanding the harmful consequences of wrongdoing, including its associated heartache, troubles, grief and so on, especially of serious sins. May we rejoice to do good, pleasing God, and bringing His smile of approval, favor, and rewards, including eternal life in true peace and happiness! (Prove 27:11; James 1:12). _____PC[12] PROVERBS COMMENTARY Proverbs 10:28-32: “28 The expectation of the upright brings joy, But the hope of the wayward will perish. 29 The way of Jehovaz is a stronghold for the blameless one, But it means ruin for evildoers. 30 The upright one will never be made to fall, But the crooked will no longer inhabit the earth. 31 The mouth of the upright one produces wisdom, But the perverse tongue will be cut off. 32 The lips of the upright one know what is pleasing, But the mouth of the crooked is perverse.” (Pro10:28) Part of the Bible definition of faith is “the assured expectation of the things hoped for.” (HEBre 11:1). Just having confidence in the coming fulfillment of God’s promises, near or far, can bring joy to our hearts. It was “for the joy that was set before him that [Jehoshuaz or Jesus] endured” impalement. (HEBre 12:2). And “the joy of Jehovaz is your stronghold.” (NEHem 8:10). It is the faith of “the upright” that brings joy, so we must be determined to hold to God’s standards, exercising faith in the ransom as needed, for forgiveness, but keeping God’s way wherever possible to achieve an upright standing before our great God. The sought after hopes of those crooked must disappear, to be replaced with the prospect of an eternity of happiness for all turning to God. May those with wrong hopes repent of their error, and find mercy from a loving God. "29 The way of Jehovaz is a stronghold for the blameless one, But it means ruin for evildoers." (10:29) God’s way is the way of eternal life, and the way leading to true success and happiness. Learning to really do things His way helps us avoid many problems and troubles in life, steering clear of such things. Wrongdoers, however, are not rewarded or blessed by Jehovaz in their activity, and it can lead to their downfall, just as “egopride is before a crash, and a haughty spirit before stumbling.” (PROve 16:18). Such may be avoided with much benefit, or repentance may be found, by turning to God and seeking His way. "30 The upright one will never be made to fall, But the crooked will no longer inhabit the earth." (10:30) This refers to a long-term fall, or disastrous crash, which the upright will avoid with God’s blessing and loving guidance and direction. Choosing an upright path is contrasted with the end of the crooked, however due to God’s mercy and love, such ones may possibly be “made alive, though [formerly] dead in [their] trespasses and sins”. How important to turn to God's way, leaving old ways behind. Yes, for mankind itself, home planet will be a Paradise earth, to be able to explore and enjoy, with family and potentially numerous friends and companions, but also beyond, into eternity, as we've considered God's purpose really to be Universal in scope. Let’s look forward to making Earth the gem God intended it to be from the beginning, and then see what surprises may lie ahead for the future of mankind. "31 The mouth of the upright one produces wisdom, But the perverse tongue will be cut off. 32 The lips of the upright one know what is pleasing, But the mouth of the crooked is perverse.” (Pro10:31-32) “18 Thoughtless speech is like the stabs of a sword, But the tongue of the wise is a healing.” (PROve 12:18). May we treasure godly wisdom and love to build up others with positive, encouraging speech. Notice it is not just the "ears" of upright ones that "know what is pleasing," but it is also their "lips." In other words, such a person is typically thoughtful, careful in his speech, to usually speak in a pleasing manner. Of course, this may come easy when treated well by others, but more challenging if wronged or harmed in some way by another. We might then apply the thoughts of Proverbs 15:1-4, which says "A mildsoft answer turns away rage, But a harsh word stirs up anger. 2 The tongue of the wise makes good use of knowledge, But the mouth of the mischievous blurts out foolishness. 3 The eyes of Jehovaz are everywhere, Watching both the bad and the good. 4 A calm tongue is a tree of life, But twisted speech causes despair." We must overcome a perverse, corrupt tongue that causes harm, and that will not endure forever.
