Weekly Golden Apples
Matthew 4:4 "But in reply he said: “It is written, ‘Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every utterance coming forth through Jehovah’s mouth.’”
On the subject of apples, here is a somewhat substantial, on-the-go meal that might be purchased, or that you might try at home:
Good, clean water is a fine way to begin the day early, perhaps with good fruit or fruit juice assimilated several minutes prior, that may sometimes help with hydration.
*****
I have patented an idea which has been engineered to safely and effectively ozonate city tap water (which is often chlorinated) with a faucet attachment--using only water pressure(!)--no power source required, which can keep the power at the appropriate level to eliminate harmful chlorine and byproducts. Also, water filtration companies accordingly may repurpose their units upside-down to accept bottled spring water which can dispense into the running water to add perhaps at 1/8 or so volume, to furnish valuable minerals! This is one of my solutions which I believe Jehovah is guiding by my hand to assist our conquering of the Coronavirus Pandemic--more complete plan forward forthcoming!

After 8 A.M. is a good time for something more substantial:
At home, it can be extremely valuable to mix plain sugar (pref. Domino or Zulka Morena, for instance) with 1% Cinnamon. This combination typically does NOT irritate the stomach and assists sugar metabolism, as well as having ANTIVIRAL qualities! Try using this to sweeten your coffee, tea, etc.
Coffee, or a similar hot drink, such as a Chai Latte, is capable of contributing to balanced health when properly prepared. Many persons enjoy sipping two cups, or a large cup on-the-go. Good fresh milk might be on-hand, such as the quality milk U.S. dairy is capable of providing, for added protein and for those whose tongues are sensitive to the heat.
With the large cup, when you have the time, the first half, or the first cup at home, is best sipped without food, and given 7-8 minutes to assimilate through an otherwise "empty" stomach. Use that time to converse with loved ones or friends, consider some reading material that is spiritually edifying, and/or make sense of the morning's news, for instance. (Matthew 4:4).
This portion of the drink should be nourishing, and then can be followed by the remainder along with a muffin and some fruit--primarily a banana or SLICED apples--even fried apples where available that can even be prepared with chick peas for added protein, etc. The muffin itself might be inclusive of nourishing foods, perhaps seasonal, such as Pumpkin-Spice, a fall favorite, or even inclusive of the fruit just mentioned, in the way of Banana-Cranberry or Apple-Cinnamon, for instance, thereby reducing or eliminating for some the need for additional fruit.
Under God's Kingdom, such a good start to your day, with His blessing, can contribute to fine activities to His honor and praise! (Psalm 112:1, NLT: "Praise the LORD! How joyful are those who fear ["revere," ed.] the LORD and delight in obeying His commands.")

CHRISTIAN STANDARDS: BECOME HOLY YOURSELVES!
"MATURITY"--A single word with such a depth of meaning. Merriam-Webster's definition of includes the expression "FULL DEVELOPMENT."
In God's word, such "full" development is closely associated with the eventual acquiring of Christian loyal love in agreement with divine truth. (Psalm 23:6). At 1Corinthians 14:20 (NKJV) we read: "Brethren, do not be children in understanding; however, in malice be babes, but in understanding be mature." And at Genesis 32:15, the same expression translated as "mature" is used in reference to full-grown donkeys. How beneficial for our precious youths to come to appreciate the beauty and importance of developing fully into the person God intends them to be as an adult! Unlike the animals, we are made "in God's image," having spiritual qualities and extraordinary capacities enabling us to cooperate together to accomplish His loving will and purpose regarding His creation. (Genesis 1:26; Colossians 3:10) Some youths carry on as if they wish to remain young, never growing up. However, they must come to realize that they would thereby be MISSING OUT on the wonderful purpose of Jehovah God, who intends to bring them the GREATEST JOY or deep happiness that comes with being fully able to obey God and live in complete harmony with His divine standards! Therefore, it is most certainly not a person's physical development that ultimately should assess whether s/he is prepared to marry another as a young adult, but rather that one's MATURITY! God Himself can certainly examine a person's heart, "young or old" (physically speaking), and determine their maturity! I believe that this spiritual awareness, in complete harmony with God's inspired Word the Bible, and not mere human knowledge, can be used by parents and authorized responsible ones in God's Kingdom to assist youths to maintain proper growth, year to year, that they may truly continue to be the AGE they should be, at least during youth--not being stunted spiritually nor becoming too "mature" too soon--while still growing spiritually, learning from God's word to understand and appreciate spiritual truths, developing ability to assess matters and make good, right decisions appropriate for their age, such ones should reach the physical age between 8 and 9 to determine their degree of spiritual development, to assess what may assist their continued spiritual advancement. That age can reveal a lot about a youth's spiritual development up to that point in life. If one's behavior at that time reveals some lack of proper development to that age, then special attention should be given this one urgently, that spiritual development may pick up at it's proper place, if possible by age 10, so that genuine advancement may be made toward maturity, "full development." Then they may begin to receive additional knowledge of matters in more earnest, freely developing as s/he wishes, as it relates to advancing in understanding more about life that will ultimately lead to their becoming capable of living as a married adult. Of course, we have been living in a world that was not fully aware of God's word and it's beauty, value, and application to our lives--but under God's Kingdom, our loving father, Jehovah, and I maintain hope that this is with my loving direction as well, will see to it that all who will do so may be able to be the kind of person He intends them to be for their lasting peace and happiness, in among a loving, joyful, peaceable and prosperous society!

CORONAVIRUS DEFENSE FOR ATHLETES
TO SAVE the most NFL PLAYERS’ remaining season from CoronaHALT, from Joshua M. Campbell-Elanemy, owner of findlifeandsee.com:
We need an adjustment to the GATORADE, either the red, Fruitpunch flavor, preferred for Athletes, or the largely clear Frost flavor, if you can get your hands on it:
1) Pour out (and drink or save, if desired) about 1/8 of the liquid, or 1/2 cup per quart.
2) Add 1/8 tsp (per quart) of (Germicidal antiviral) Food-grade Hydrogen Peroxide.
3) Add back in 3/8 cup of good clean bottled SPRING water, such as Deer Park, for added electrolytes, leaving room for added ingredients, or 1/4 cup of this you may substitute with pure Oceanspray or other cranberry juice, or fresh-pressed or bottled pure apple juice, safely sourced.
4) Also add 1 dropper full of a Vegetable Glycerin extracted Ginkgo Biloba, increasing circulation, especially for enhanced mental function.
5) Add pre-mixed Domino or Morena sugar with 1% Cinnamon powder, which MIXED is not hard on stomach, to recover flavor and helping (not curing) blood glucose stabilization, with further germicidal effects. Still, expect slightly less sweetness than originally.
Along with this, keep in mind that fresh fruit should be eaten regularly, preferably in the morning.
I've become aware of a few more things that should help us overcome this disease, and will compile them, including things shared previously on this blog since March 2020, which have remained available to all by search, and also want to share a few more recipes, like the salad recipe made known previously and this and other drinks, in order to resolve this terrible issue!_______
This group of 8 verses concludes the entire psalm in a stirring way, acknowledging God's desire to help and favor those fondly keeping His law. Some 10 requests are made of God, revealing reliance upon Him and appreciation for the personal attention He gives the psalmist, and all such loyal ones.
Stanza 22A:
169 May my cry for help reach you, O Jehovah. According to your word, make me understand.
170 May my request for favor come before you. Save me, as you have promised.
171 May my lips overflow with praise, For you teach me your [instructions].
172 May my tongue sing about your saying, For all your commandments are righteous.
169 May my cry for help reach you, O Jehovah. According to your word, make me understand.
SEEK UNDERSTANDING OF GOD'S WORD. The psalmist pleads that the “Hearer of Prayer,” Jehovah, prove to be so in his case, when he ‘cries for help.’ (Psalm 65:2). Psalm 65:5 refers to Him, saying “You will answer us with awe-inspiring deeds of righteousness, O God of our salvation; You are the Confidence of all the ends of the earth And of those distant across the sea.” May the love, power, wisdom and justice of Jehovah inspire confidence within us, having faith, or deep trust, in Him to keep His promises and fulfill His word. The psalmist also pleads for understanding from God, likely regarding living life acceptably before Him. He knows God’s word gives the instruction and guidance we all need to do so, and thus pleads for God to “make” him understand, according to His word. We may make a similar plea to God, when we truly have confidence in Jehovah’s trustworthiness with our life, desiring to please Him fully. We therefore need to give attention to God’s inspired word, the Bible, aiming to read it regularly, even daily. Psalm 1:1-3 describes benefits of doing so: “1 Happy is the man who does not walk according to the advice of the wicked And does not stand on the path of sinners And does not sit in the seat of scoffers. 2 But his delight is in the law of Jehovah, And he reads His law in an undertone day and night. 3 He will be like a tree planted by streams of water, A tree that produces fruit in its season, The foliage of which does not wither. And everything he does will succeed.”
170 May my request for favor come before you. Save me, as you have promised.
SEEK GOD'S FAVOR OFTEN IN PRAYER. Once again the psalmist references the privilege of prayer, communication with the Greater Personage in the Universe! He wants to be favored by God, as he seeks to keep God’s law and hold to His divine standards in life. He seeks to be saved, from his persecutors and adversaries, just as God had evidently promised him personally. God’s word itself makes similar promises to those determined to obey Him faithfully. For instance, regarding the endurance of trials we may undergo, 1Corinthians 10:13 says: “13 No temptation has come upon you except what is common to men. But God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out so that you may be able to endure it.” Also, regarding God’s promises of eventual salvation, Psalm 37:9,11,29 say regarding such faithful ones: “9...those hoping in Jehovah will possess the earth...11...the meek will possess the earth, And they will find exquisite delight in the abundance of peace...29 The righteous will possess the earth, And they will live forever on it.” Jehovah God is rightly determined to bring about a wonderful promised Paradise on this earth, in which mankind may dwell, all willing to learn God’s loving and peaceful ways, to love Him and others loyally, in harmony with God’s divine wisdom and standards.
171 May my lips overflow with praise, For you teach me your [instructions].
SEEK GOD'S HONOR, FROM AN APPRECIATIVE HEART. Yes, Jehovah is worthy to receive our praise, or expressions of high regard and appreciation for Him, His divine standards, and His acts and provisions for our lasting welfare. The psalmist specifically mentions God’s teaching him His instructions, to live in harmony with divine wisdom. What a blessing to truly have an instruction manual for life, in God’s inspired Word, the Holy Bible. The divine record puts it this way, at 2Timothy 3:16-17, NIRV: “God has breathed life into all of Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. By using Scripture, a man of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing.” Still, we must not take God’s word for granted. It is a gift from a loving God and Father, who wants to be close to each one of us personally. It is among the gifts referred to at James 1:17, where we read: “17 Every good gift and every perfect present is from above, coming down from the Father of the celestial lights, who does not vary or change like the shifting shadows.” James continues, at 4:7-8a, “7 Therefore, subject yourselves to God; but oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and He will draw close to you.” It is God’s honor we should seek, far above our own. At John 7:18, Jesus says: “18 Whoever speaks of his own originality is seeking his own glory; but whoever seeks the glory of the one who sent him, this one is true and there is no unrighteousness in him.” May we come to be among those seeking God’s honor in all we do, focusing on God, apart from any self-centeredness. (1Cori 10:31).
172 May my tongue sing about your saying, For all your commandments are righteous.
JEHOVAH'S HOLY MOUNTAIN. The psalmist continues praising God’s word, or His saying, acknowledging the rightness of God’s commandments. He expresses desire to sing about God’s saying. God’s word itself says it is to endure eternally, as expressed at Isaiah 40:8: “8 The green grass dries up, The blossom withers, But the word of our God endures forever.” How happy we can be that the Creator of this universe and mankind, the “Judge of all the earth,” has given us reasonable laws and commands in harmony with His way of true love, peace, freedom, and happiness. Just as birdsong is a glory to the mighty works of God, so these works of God are deserving of our admiration and praise. Hills have often been associated with places of worship. Isaiah 2:3 foretells a restoration of true worship in these words: “3 And many peoples will go and say: “Come, let us go up to the mountain of Jehovah, To the house of the God of Jacob. He will instruct us about his ways, And we will walk in his paths.” For law will go out of Zion, And the word of Jehovah out of Jerusalem.” Rather than the ancient city, God’s word foretold a “New Jerusalem” composed of Christians anointed to rule with Christ in God’s Kingdom, situated upon a figurative “Mount Zion,” representing a holy “mountain” of Jehovah and the governance of true worship of modern times (Revel 21:1-4; 1Peter 2:6; Revel 14:1). May we ever appreciate the revealed will of Jehovah for true Christians, as He reminds us of His righteous orders, commands, and instructions for all having faith, or deep trust, in Him and His Son, leading to a happy, eternal life for those forgiven, humbly seeking divine obedience—the way of eternity.
This group of 8 verses concludes the entire psalm in a stirring way, acknowledging God's desire to help and favor those fondly keeping His law. Some 10 requests are made of God, revealing reliance upon Him and appreciation for the personal attention He gives the psalmist, and all such loyal ones.
Stanza 22B:
173 May your hand be ready to help me, Because I choose to obey your orders.
174 I long for your salvation, O Jehovah, And I am fond of your law.
175 Let me live so that I may praise you; May your judgments be my help.
176 I have strayed like a lost sheep. Search for your servant, For I have not forgotten your commandments.
173 May your hand be ready to help me, Because I choose to obey your orders.
"OBEY GOD AS RULER" Titus 3:1 exhorts Christians to be “ready for every good work.” Thus, God Himself is likewise able to help His devoted loyal servants who need His assistance. May we, like the psalmist, choose to obey God’s orders, thus aiming for true loyalty to Jehovah. His orders are vital and/or urgent commands for true Christians to keep. We should consider them essential, even when threatened to abandon them. Under such circumstances, should we not respond as the early Christians, when threatened to stop speaking about Jesus: “29 In answer Peter and the other apostles said: “We must obey God as ruler rather than men. 30 The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a stake. 31 God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. 32 And we are witnesses of these matters, and so is the holy spirit, which God has given to those obeying him as ruler.” (Acts 5). Jehovah’s hand was “ready to help” them, so can we not count on the same today?
174 I long for your salvation, O Jehovah, And I am fond of your law.
SEEK GOD'S FAVOR. God Himself ‘longs’ to resurrect His faithful servants of times past, such as Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Job. He revealed this at Job 14:15, where Job says to God: “15 You will call, and I will answer you. You will long for the work of your hands.” Likewise, we may long to be saved from difficult trials or circumstances in this system of things, aware of God’s promised blessings of His new world of righteousness and peace. Still, we want as many as possible to be saved, as God “does not desire anyone to be destroyed, but desires all to attain to repentance.” (2Peter 3:9). So while God longs to bring the blessings of Paradise, He loves all mankind even more, hoping for billions to seek His favor before judgment becomes necessary. We can likewise see things God’s way. May we also maintain fondness for God’s law, as keeping it is vital for the everlasting salvation of man.
175 Let me live so that I may praise you; May your judgments be my help.
THE VERY PURPOSE OF LIFE. Might the psalmist here have stumbled upon the very purpose of life—to praise the Creator, the true and living God, the God who “is love”—Jehovah? Who is more worthy of such honor, glory, or praise? While it is not wrong to desire a good name, or reputation, for ourselves, should not more honor and praise go to the One ultimately responsible for “every good gift and perfect present?” (James 1:17). By unselfishly seeking the glory of God in all we do, we place our trust in Him to safeguard our own name. Who better to look after our own reputation, than the “King of Eternity,” Jehovah God? May we not forget His wonderful works, and His righteous judgments. His evaluations and decisions truly may “help” us, as He makes them in harmony with what is truly right, just, and fair. They provide keen insight into God’s standards and ways, that we may know how to live and act accordingly. His judgments against wrongdoers of the past, for instance, stand “for a warning to us upon whom the ends of the systems of things have come.” (1Cori 10:11). May we come to hate what God hates, that we may judge rightly ourselves, acting in harmony with God’s will.
176 I have strayed like a lost sheep. Search for your servant, For I have not forgotten your commandments.

COME TO CONSENSUS CORNER
This week, let's include another of the policies that God's Kingdom by Christ could utilize to effectively improve working environments. In line with the IMMIGRATION policy revealed earlier, as well as the TRANSITION of some Government Department staff to Community Outreach Service Business Entities, or COSBE's, may allow for not only former government workers to find suitable and rewarding employment, but also enable many U.S. workers in challenging positions such as factory work to better realize their potential, qualifying to use their talents helping others in this way, while talented, good working immigrants, even alongside some formerly imprisoned, yearning for a chance to prove they can live right by God, also learn to handle some of these jobs as they are able, but with improved working conditions, aiming for satisfying employment.
Week 11: ISSUE BY ISSUE ADDRESSED BY GOD’S KINGDOM: PUSHING RESET: LETTING WORK BECOME MORE ENJOYABLE, REWARDING.
Isaiah 65:16-19: “16 So that anyone who seeks a blessing for himself in the earth Will be blessed by the God of truth...For the former distresses will be forgotten; They will be concealed from my eyes. 17 For look! I am creating new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be called to mind, Nor will they come up into the heart. 18 So exult and be joyful forever in what I am creating. For look! I am creating Jerusalem a cause for joy And her people a cause for exultation. 19 And I will rejoice in Jerusalem and exult in my people; No more will there be heard in her the sound of weeping or a cry of distress.”
Isaiah 65:22b-23: “22 They will not build for someone else to inhabit, Nor will they plant for others to eat. For the days of my people will be like the days of a tree, And the work of their hands my chosen ones will enjoy to the full. 23 They will not toil for nothing, Nor will they bear children for distress, Because they are the offspring made up of those blessed by Jehovah, And their descendants with them.”
LOOKING FORWARD. While most in the U.S. seem to have been pretty content with their jobs in recent years, there are others who, while grateful to have work, still find it difficult to get through the workday. Many have been in this situation for years, and have gotten by, but have looked forward to a time, under God’s Kingdom, when work would be more refreshing, enjoyable. How might such a change come about?
THE BLESSING OF JEHOVAH. It is understandable that many companies have had to work hard to remain viable in the economy of recent years, and often they have felt forced to tighten the work ethic of their employees, to squeeze out every dime possible in profit, just to get by. Of course, sometimes this is because stock companies are driven to gradually increase profits, rather than just to remain profitable. However, under the rule of God’s Kingdom, good companies to remain will prove more reliant upon God for His blessing on their activities. They will be willing to submit to God’s direction as provided through His son. In recent years, emphasis has more often been placed on the dollar, with some attempt at maintaining a level of security and peace in the workplace. In the process, proper freedoms and happiness of the workers have often been left behind. While the money is a vital part of business, it is “the blessing of Jehovah that makes rich, and He adds no pain with it.” If all look to Jehovah and Christ, there is little reason why most good businesses would not be able to thrive while ensuring the security, peace, and also the happiness of those working for them.
NOTHING BETTER! Because of emphasis on certain scriptures, while neglecting others, some have come to believe God’s new world would be largely work-free, but rather, God made it a gift to man to see good for all his hard work. In fact, Ecclesiastes 2 says “24 There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and find enjoyment in his hard work. This too, I have realized, is from the hand of the true God.” Thus, our work should be purposeful, and beneficial toward mankind and in harmony with the will of God. Then, we may rejoice in our contribution to society, to a peaceful, prosperous and happy new world. Of course, there would be time for rest and relaxation. In fact, Ecclesiastes 4 says “6 Better is a handful of rest than two handfuls of hard work and chasing after the wind.” And Micah 4 says “4 They will sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, And no one will make them afraid, For the mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken.” While this prophecy is yet future, still can we not begin to think along the lines of new world living, and start incorporating better habits that will carry us into an eternity of happiness?
WORK SCHEDULES. While there is a variety of work schedules in our economy, for various reasons at each business, there are certain schedules that have become commonplace, and others that have contributed to more peace and enjoyment among workers. What if it was possible to have a common agreeable and reasonable work schedule that gave more time off to workers, while still allowing most a substantial workweek? What if we could “push reset,” and agree on a better schedule for most businesses? One that has found much favor is the four-day, 8-10 hour schedule, especially one that alternates between a Monday and Tuesday start from week to week. Why this? What if you started work on a Tuesday, and worked four days through Friday, looking forward to a normal two-day weekend. Then, the next week, you began Monday, and worked through Thursday, and this time, rather than a two-day weekend, you could enjoy a four-day weekend, Friday through Monday? Would that not allow for some extended freedom and enjoyment on the part of many, determining how best to utilize those four days off, every other weekend? The 10-hour per day schedule is less intrusive to life than a 12-hour schedule, which in practice begins to wear on many people, especially through night work. Some businesses could thrive on the forty-hour workweek, while others may be able to do just as well with a 8- or 9-hour day, and a 32- or 36-hour workweek. However, some factories may need continued work through the rest of the week. What if some workers wanted or needed extra work, and chose to extend their workweek into the Friday and/or Saturday for one week, and into the Saturday for the next? They might need the extra pay, at least for a time. What if other workers could work part-time, just the Friday and/or Saturday one week, and just the Saturday the next? Perhaps the alternating Monday could be downtime used for maintenance personnel on factory equipment, or the part-time workers could also work this day as well. Would not these part-time workers be good candidates to substitute during the regular week when an employee needs or wants off for some reason? The part-time workers could thus substitute during the week on occasion.
OTHER MATTERS. Also, as mentioned, some jobs are more challenging than others to maintain throughout a workday, such as some factory jobs. If we could "push reset," in many cases, could it be possible for the speed of the equipment to be cut back, even just a bit, to take some of the constant pressure or tension off of many workers, while still maintaining reasonable productivity? Understandably, the timing of some machinery may be such that this is not a simple task to achieve. Still,we shouldn't forget that happy workers can be productive workers! Thinking creatively, with God's blessing, there may be other ways to maintain profitability. As well, what if, wherever possible or appropriate, some of the more experienced workers, who’ve perhaps over the years filled several positions in the work at various times, could become sort of “relief workers,” able to fill in for a worker who could use a break for a time, for a drink and a chance to relax, make a phone call, etc. before returning? These relief workers may well know the more trying jobs, and could provide assistance to these more often than others. They might also help each other to learn jobs or skills they may not yet know well enough. And they may start their day by filling in for one of the workers who, on occasion, could meet with a supervisor to discuss progress and improvement on the job, as well as any issues that are impeding productivity or job contentment. Having kind and understanding supervisors, of course, would go a long way to promoting job satisfaction. A relief worker could thus also be available for filling in if someone had a genuine emergency and couldn’t come in, until a replacement shows up for work. Then, certainly, job assignments should be examined on occasion to look for ways to make them less demanding, and more reasonably accommodating to an average worker. And, utilizing workers in the right place may also be useful, as some workers thrive on excitement and busy-ness, while others may tend to be more thoughtful and thorough. Most, still, can rise to the occasion when called upon to do so, but a mismatch of personality could create unnecessary tension in an otherwise contented worker.
TRUE SUCCESS. Thus, most good businesses could do well in such a scenario, as they look to God to bless their efforts and their work to be successful and profitable. You may have noticed Sunday work has not been mentioned. Could not Jehovah’s hand be on the matter, to bless and reward a business that acknowledges His Sabbath requirement, to allow workers time off for spiritual matters? Psalm 127:1 says: “127 Unless Jehovah builds the house, It is in vain that its builders work hard on it. Unless Jehovah guards the city, It is in vain that the guard stays awake.” Therefore, God’s blessing should be sought paramount on one’s business, with the realization that God’s loving and wise ways contribute to true success! Certainly Jehovah can assist with finding the contracts or work necessary to keep a business thriving, or at least afloat through an occasional downtime. In this, TRUE success could be found, in looking to God and wisely supporting the doing of His will toward mankind!
CONCLUSION
LOOK TO JEHOVAH. What blessings could be in store if most all can be respectful of, and agreeable to, God’s direction for the work that will be done to promote security, peace, and happiness among mankind under the rule of His son! When a business owner and fellow employees look to Jehovah for His blessing, in a work that has His smile of approval, while humbly seeking to be guided by God’s wisdom in business and work activities, there is a good chance of it proving successful. If such a business does start to decline, pray about the matter, and look for the answer, trusting that God may well supply it if we act in faith, or deep trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says this: “5 Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, And do not rely on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways take notice of him, And he will make your paths straight.” Such is the path of a righteous one. Proverbs 4:18 says “18 But the path of the righteous is like the bright morning light That grows brighter and brighter until full daylight.” Revelation also holds promise of a new and better world. After promising an end to such things as death, pain and sorrow, God offers this message: "And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” (Revelation 21:3-5). May we all look forward to the promised blessings of God’s Kingdom, and the conditions for which human hearts long—the genuine security, peace, happiness, prosperity and freedom that belong to the people of Jehovah!
_______
CONFIDENCE IN THE CREATOR AND HIS INSPIRED WORD VITAL FOR TRUE HAPPINESS.
LIFT UP YOUR EYES ...As we began to consider previously, man’s Creator, GOD, has demonstrated great love, power, wisdom, and even a sense of justice in the way He made the Universe, this planet, and all that is on and within it. This includes such an incredible variety of creatures, and food supporting man, who according to GOD’s inspired Word, the Bible, is the only physical, or physiological, creature made “in GOD’s image,” or after HIS likeness, having capacity for the same qualities and full character such as HE has (Genesis 1:26). The Bible opens with these inspiring words: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1). Who has raised their eyes to a clear night sky, away from city lights, and not been impressed by the vastness and the sheer number and presumed order of the stars reaching our planet’s view. Notice what the Bible says regarding this: “26 “Lift up your eyes to heaven and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who brings out their army by number; He calls them all by name. Because of his vast dynamic energy and his awe-inspiring power, Not one of them is missing.” (Isaiah 40:26).
DEEPLY IMPRESSED? If you had all the names of these stars in front of you, how many of them could you recall? How long would it take you to learn a thousand, a million, a billion, a trillion? As GOD created them, He reasonably named them, over aeons of time, and Has the capacity to remain familiar with each one. Can we not be deeply impressed, and inspired, as we contemplate and ponder GOD’s great power? Previous to that verse in the Bible book of Isaiah, comes this question from GOD Himself: “25 “To whom can you liken me to make me his equal?” says the Holy One.” Thus, no creation of GOD deserves the same respect, devotion, even worship that only GOD deserves. And by GOD’s own word, another of His inspiring qualities comes to the fore: He is “the Holy One.” Contrary to some opinion, this quality should be quite attractive—it means GOD is pure, clean, uncorrupt, never abusive of His power. That quality does not make Him arrogant, rather it is as He says at Isaiah 57:15: “15 For this is what the High and Lofty One says, Who lives forever and whose name is holy: “I reside in the high and holy place, But also with those crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of those being crushed.” Thus this quality is in agreement with His primary quality, LOVE.
THE GOD WHO “IS LOVE”
LOVING GOD AND NEIGHBOR. Not only has GOD revealed tremendous love in the way He made mankind and this earth, but His Word, the Bible, actually goes into greater detail on how this quality is cultivated and demonstrated. Other qualities come together to make up this crowning quality of LOVE, which is not only shown by GOD, but should be shown by humans for GOD and for other humans. GOD’s Son Jesus, revealed the greatest commandments of GOD’s law to descendants of HIS servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, renamed Israel, whose lives are depicted in the first Bible book of Genesis. That law is detailed in the Bible books of Exodus and Leviticus. The fifth book of Deuteronomy explains some of that law, in encouraging GOD’s people at that time to love and obey Him implicitly, en route to the Promised Land of their inheritance. GOD had loyally promised Abraham that his descendants would acquire a land of Promise, a land “flowing with milk and honey.” (Exodus 3:8). The commandments Jesus said were greatest had to do with LOVE—we are to love GOD with all we have, and then our neighbor as ourselves. (Matthew 22:37-39). We show our love for GOD by obeying Him (1John 5:3). IT IS GOD WHO KNOWS BEST HOW HUMANS CAN DWELL TOGETHER IN TRUE PEACE AND HAPPINESS—BY OBEYING GOD FIRST WE THUS MAKE HIM HAPPY, SHOW MORE COMPLETE LOVE TO OTHERS, AND PROMOTE GENUINE UNITY.
BLESSED FOR OBEDIENCE. Abraham’s descendants eventually ended up in Egypt, as slaves, but at GOD’s appointed time, HE loyally saved them from their plight, and keeping His promise to His faithful servant Abraham, eventually brought them into the Land Promised to them. When they obeyed GOD, they were blessed, and under the rule of David’s son Solomon, there was extraordinary peace and prosperity, as a foregleam of earthwide promises GOD has made for the near future in our day, under the promised rule of “a son of man,” born in the line of David, with even greater blessings by GOD. (1Kings 4:25; Jeremiah 23:5; Daniel 7:13-14; Psalm 72:7-8; Psalm 132:10-11; Luke 18:7-8). The Bible book of Revelation, among other Bible books, foretells blessings of a government on earth having HIS approval.
GOD’S PURPOSES LOVING, BENEFICIAL, ENLIGHTENING AND TRUSTWORTHY
HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR. Revelation makes this promise: “3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4). Must all people ascend to heaven for true happiness and peace, or is it possible that such conditions could, with GOD’s blessing, come about right here on planet Earth, “with mankind?”!! The Creator, GOD Himself, has an incredible record of reliability regarding His purposes, just as HE was able to rescue His people Israel out of slavery in Egypt, out of the hands of Pharaoh’s army, parting the Red Sea for their escape, where to this day is evidence of Pharaoh’s chariots and chariot wheels, which God’s word stated HE was removing from the chariots as HE fought against them to protect Israel. (Exodus 14:25, KJV).
TRUST GOD AND HIS WORD FOR SALVATION. What of Pharaoh’s army, who perished in the Red Sea? This story makes it clear that people need FAITH, or CONFIDENCE IN GOD AND HIS WORD for salvation and happiness. How so? You may recall that this occurred only after the Tenth Plague on Egypt, the striking of the firstborn. JEHOVAH is a GOD of freedom—so HE allows people to choose their own course, although there are often consequences to bad decisions. God allowed Pharaoh to become so stubborn, despite all the proof of GOD’s great power over the other gods of Egypt. Still, all that was necessary was the placing of the blood of a lamb or a goat on the doorposts of a home, likely using the animal as for a life-saving meal, for the angel to “pass over” the house and not strike the firstborn. Those showing no faith in GOD or HIS WORD, and didn’t heed the warning, did suffer loss. Still, the seriousness of the matter of letting GOD’S PEOPLE GO and worship Him was also made clear—it had become a life or death matter to GOD. It was the Hebrew Joseph that GOD used to save countless lives in Egypt and elsewhere during the great famine. (Genesis 41:54-57). For hundreds of years Egypt had benefitted from Hebrew labor and toil. Yet, that time was up—rather, it was time for GOD to keep His promise to His Hebrew servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Thus, chasing after GOD’s people, showing no faith in GOD’s power, was risky business. Israel, however, left with a vast mixed crowd of EGYPTIANS—WHO DID PUT FAITH IN GOD, and wanted to worship HIM among GOD’s people. (Exodus 12:38). Thus it was an individual choice to love and obey GOD or not. It is ultimately ENDLESS LIFE IN TRUE HAPPINESS that GOD PURPOSES for obedient mankind. (Psalm 37:29).
CONCLUSION:
JESUS’ SIMILAR PLEA. Did Jesus support this recommendation? Absolutely! Among the important statements He made when being tempted by God’s enemy Satan at the time was this: “It is written: “ MAN MUST LIVE, NOT ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD COMING FROM JEHOVAH’S MOUTH. ” (Matthew 4:4). Thus, all should aim to become keenly aware of GOD’s instruction and guidance, benefitting from it regularly, just as we benefit from life-promoting food on a daily basis. Another Scripture stating the value of GOD’s written word, is found at 2Timothy 3:16-17.
UNDER THE RULE OF GOD’S GOVERNMENT, THE STANDARDS SET FORTH IN HIS WORD WILL MAKE POSSIBLE PUBLIC POLICIES THAT PROMOTE HONESTY, FAIRNESS, REASONABLENESS AND HAPPINESS.
It may be that even now adherence to GOD's word is allowing some success in policy-making and follow-through. Many of GOD’s policies are clearly set forth in His Word. Still, some questions remain: Is GOD’s word meant to be understood accurately? How so, and how might misunderstandings have hindered confidence in GOD? Also, how is GOD’s purpose Universal in scope, but what should come first? And, HOW IS IT THAT GOD’S STANDARDS ARE REALISTIC, REASONABLE, RELIABLE AND REWARDING?
_______
Last week’s conclusion included this thought: Tears of sorrow will all but vanish as we address issue after issue needing attention to be in harmony with GOD’s loving ways and wondrous Word! Let’s look at another issue that needs to be addressed in this nation, the United States, in a reasonable and fair way:
IMMIGRATION
JUSTICE? There is a heavy backlog of cases for those wishing to enter our country properly. In fact, last August, the load of cases reached 1 million, not counting an additional 0.3 million “pending” cases. Most must wait months or years for their cases to complete, and many (not all) cases drag on for nearly two years time! At that time, these cases were evidently being handled by less than 500 judges in the court system. With respect to the president, this may have increased since then, and of course these judges work tirelessly to do what they can, and deserve much commendation. How did God feel about such foreigners in His land of Israel? The people of Israel had become foreign residents in the land of Egypt, before God saved them from slavery there. Likewise many early settlers in the land of the United States had been persecuted religiously in their former land, and were able to escape from such to serve God freely in this land. Thus, in this setting, God told Israel they must view them as He views them:
Deuteronomy 10:18-19 “He executes justice for the fatherless child and the widow and loves the foreign resident, giving him food and clothing. You too must love the foreign resident, for you became foreign residents in the land of Egypt.”
When a case arose involving a foreigner, it was to be handled fairly—impartially, the foreigner was not to be misjudged, but treated as fairly as a native of the land. As Moses had instructed Israel:
Deuteronomy 1:16 “At that time I instructed your judges, ‘When you hear a case between your brothers, you are to judge with righteousness between a man and his brother or a foreign resident.”
How might issues involving immigrants or the increasing migrants at our border looking for a safe refuge be resolved adequately? Supposing God’s Kingdom was to begin rule first in this land, before gradually extending to other lands? How might this potentially grievous situation be handled?
FIRST , the case process needs to be streamlined. It is taking far too long to resolve many cases. The qualifications and standards to be met need to be clarified to all, that they may have all necessary information in order and receive judgment more quickly. Would it not be reasonable for any who wish to apply to enter this country legally to be able to be heard in a matter of weeks at most, and have a resolved case within a week or two afterward? Let’s streamline the process early on, so the cases do not unnecessarily drag out.
NEXT , it will take some time to reduce the caseload. We need additional experienced or qualified judges to handle more cases, to speed up this process. While taking some time, even several years, certain cases may still be earmarked for more urgent attention, as with those in special need of refuge. It really shouldn't take this long, but let’s set a maximum goal of 8 years time to resolve all cases, until most every case can be handled in a matter of 1-2 weeks time. Let’s find all those recently retired judges who are now receiving their due social security payments, who are willing to come back for a time, receiving wages along with their SSI payments, to reach a total of 110% of their former wage before retirement. Any who would come back for 4 years may receive this wage for that entire time. Thus there may be some monetary incentive to returning to help with this caseload, but should still be considered a labor of love. Also, let those judges who are in their last 4 years of service consider as well extending their work for an additional 4 years, at 110% of their wages at the time they would otherwise be retiring. Thus, there can be, with God’s blessing, an adequate number of experienced judges to handle the additional caseload.
THEN , where are they to work, when the normal legal process must take place in the courts during the day? Why not arrange for a night court to handle these additional cases, in the same courtrooms as being used in the daytime? Additional security can be hired and provisions put in place to reasonably handle this new arrangement. The number of additional judges should not exceed the available courtroom space for night-time work.
HOW will all this be paid for? Remember, most of those wishing to immigrate to this land are coming from a place of meager means—often they are barely able to feed their families. Getting even a menial job in this land can be far more lucrative than employment in their former land. Why not require family heads to pay a percentage of their wages over 5 years time, gradually reducing the amount each year, until they are free of such? Let’s start with 10% the first year, then drop to 8% the next, and so on until the fifth year they need only give 2%. This will not only pay for the additional judges and costs of running the night court system, but may also make possible a fund for some sort of social intervention where needed in some cases. This 5-year time is evidently also the minimum time someone must hold a green card before they may qualify to become a U.S. citizen. Thus when they’ve paid their last dues, they know they now meet at least that part of the criteria.
ALSO , during the time that a family’s case comes up to be heard, and is ongoing, why not take this opportunity to educate this family as regards the laws and value system of our country? We might ensure computer/internet access and a series of instructional tutorials etc. to accomplish this. After all, God required foreign residents of Israel to keep the same laws, and suffer the same penalties for violating them. Thus, they will need to learn these things to live in our land, and abide by such. Thus, God instructed Israel:
Deuteronomy 31:12 Gather the people together, the men, the women, the children, and your foreign resident who is within your cities, in order that they may listen and learn about and fear Jehovah your God and take care to carry out all the words of this Law.
CONCLUSION
JUSTICE. While other aspects of immigration also need to be addressed, certainly a program such as this could be a fine starting point for dealing with the current situation. Why, there may even be enough money in the immigration fund to assist with payment of a hotel stay for those having their cases heard in the court. And no doubt some of them are eager to get to work--we might even have some perform duties during their stay, to acknowledge their work ethic, and disprove any ideas that immigrants are somehow lazy. This may result in a new hotel chain, for highly clean and inexpensive nightly or even weekly stays for those in need of such accommodations. God’s Kingdom will no doubt lovingly address all such issues in an adequate way, that the conditions foretold for the earth can become a reality—a lovely just and peaceful Paradise, both spiritually, and physically!

COME TO CONSENSUS CORNER
SUBJECT: FIFTEENAGERS BECOMING RESPONSIBLE 2! Podcast: Becoming Responsible!
An update to this podcast is upcoming, further addressing the vital matter of security!
Revelation 21:5: "And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
Philippians 1:9-11: "And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; 10 that you may make sure of the more important things , so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ; 11 and that you may be filled with righteous fruit , which is through Jesus Christ, to God’s glory and praise."
RESPONSIBLE LIVING. There comes a time in the course of a teenager working toward adulthood with its many blessings and privileges before Jehovah God that a major step must be taken to assist the acquiring of a more thorough sense of responsibility that is essential to becoming truly prepared to face life as a genuine man or woman. Some serious steps must be taken, with full faith and trust in God, in order to be ready to properly handle such things as qualifying for and finding work to support oneself and eventually one's wife and family, proving that one can maintain living responsibly on one's own, trusting God, and becoming prepared for driving safely and responsibly. How can this be achieved in a way that allows both parents and their growing children to remain close while being about as far away as a tent in the backyard, while learning to grow into adulthood?
FIRST THINGS FIRST. At 15, youths are nearing the time for learning to operate a motor vehicle responsibly, and they certainly want to do so in a way that will not endanger the lives of others! Surely under God’s Kingdom, there must be a way that they can develop a proper sense of responsibility while maintaining or even growing the close bond they have with their godly parents and family members. It will be entirely advantageous if these youths find suitable employment during the summer prior to their initial high school year, to enable saving up for the expenses of the new dwelling at the start of the coming school year. Such youths, who prove themselves willing to demonstrate genuine reverence for Jehovah God, could demonstrate to others that an arrangement for living with a same-gender friend approved by the parents of both individuals, in an apartment located not far from home, elsewhere in the same city or nearby town or well-established community, could improve the ability of such young ones to acquire this proper responsible quality. Having been students of God’s word, and supporters of the true worship of Jehovah along with others in the community, such as among one of several Protestant Christian denominations, they could with parental guidance and assistance, locate a peaceful dwelling that may be considered a CLEAN, HOLY EXTENSION OF EACH ONE'S PARENTAL HOME. Under such conditions, they may each continue their school and personal study habits, perhaps even with less distraction as may be found elsewhere. Their love for the inspired word of God should be a hallmark of such a place, as it will be vital to maintain each one’s personal relationship with Jehovah and the purity and sanctity of the new environment.
AGREEMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS.
Of course, such a dwelling will usually require some agreement with the owner or landlord of the apartment. It is strongly recommended that a 2-year term be planned, however on a month-to-month basis, preferably during the summer working season, before the selected or assigned high school year for this dwelling, with provision in extreme circumstances to return home if ever necessary. The students themselves, as they take on this responsibility, could certainly have parental assistance to determine how best to suitably pay for any associated expenses. In this initial year, the parents may certainly help guide their youths as needed to acquire the necessary services for the dwelling, and these two students together may use inexpensive public transportation to acquire needs or meet parents or approved godly associates for an occasional meal, or to transport to their job location. Altogether, the process of acquiring work, the handling of assigned duties there, acquiring and practicing other skills needed to live responsibly, such as delightful cooking and thorough cleaning, organizing and tidiness, and the insight gained in the extension of home by what may be studied in preparation for life's privileges, all can contribute greatly to acquiring the sense of responsibility vital for life in the new world. Certainly these more youthful ones need quality neighborhoods to dwell in at this particular time in their growth.
OTHER HELPFUL STUDIES.
Regarding what is to be studied in this godly setting, there are several beneficial matters worthy of consideration. First and foremost in one's mind and heart should be a more thorough examination of God's word the Holy Bible, life's genuine instruction manual. In the life of these youths, it's law and wisdom have already proven to be a beneficial guide for them in many difficult situations, and they have likely come to see it's value in their course of activity. There is one provision that would be an excellent start to strengthening one's relationship with God and acquiring vital insight into the godly Christian personality that will prove to enable abundant peace to prevail in the new world of God's making: It is a publication produced by the worldwide congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, entitled "Draw Close to Jehovah." This publication is available for download preferably in the app "JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES KINGDOM," a relatively new provision from this congregation, one of the Twelve Tribes of Christianity, as explained further in one of the primary established articles on this website ( TWELVE TRIBES
).
VITALLY IMPORTANT! The Scriptures help us see this matter in the proper light: With compassion, none of us wish to see another suffer a terrible disaster. Jesus understood this, but made a serious point, for the purpose of helping us strongly hate giving any consideration to tempting others to violate God's law: At Luke 17:1-4, NLT we read: "One day Jesus said to His disciples, "There will always be temptation to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting! 2 It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. 3 So watch yourselves! If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. 4 Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive." Therefore, while we understand that God is merciful, we must not take that mercy for granted, but always strive to please God in what we do. Then God will ensure you have the advice you need to remain faithful. At Psalm 32:8 God says: "I will give you insight and instruct you in the way you should go. I will give advice with my eye upon you. 9 Do not become like a horse or mule, without understanding, whose spiritedness must be controlled with a bridle or a halter before it will come near to you." Ultimately, it is Jehovah God who can help a youth to prosper and assist one in eventually finding a suitable marriage partner that will make possible decade after decade of sharing life's joys together within the realm of God's Kingdom, with great love for our Creator, shown by obedience to Him (1John 5:3).
MORE 'INSIGHT AND INSTRUCTION.' Recall that the new dwelling is to be an extension of the parental home. As such, it is fine to look forward to much that can also be examined by reading and study. Why not, for instance, have some study material on improving your reading comprehension and perhaps even reading speed? This will certainly come in handy the more you study. Also, this would be a good time for giving attention to an overview of the inspired word of God, with helpful materials, as it instructs us in making good decisions in practically every area of life, and getting to know better the world at large, as God shows His care for all those who will repent and appreciate His love for them. There will be other beneficial matters you can enjoy considering in this new environment, that you can learn to maintain according to God's standards of orderliness and cleanliness.
MAINTAINING SECURITY! Part of maintaining the extended home in accord with godly standards includes realizing the balance of between security and trust in a world that is still growing spiritually. We must realize that God's new world is to be built on genuine faith, deep trust especially in God, but also in others, all who will submit to God's instruction and cultivate genuine integrity to His word and law. Generally, by maintaining faith in Jehovah and adhering to divine standards, we should exercise caution, while placing a measure of trust in others, with genuine peace. We do need the spirit of a sound mind to protect ourselves from danger, as this world is still fraught with those who may not appreciate what we do about life! Of course, approved guests can be welcome! Ones you know and trust might be kindly greeted and spoken to either inside or out of doors where appropriate with your house partner with you. Speak with your parents on laying down the ground rules in such matters. Be careful to maintain the lock when going in or out of the home. With Jehovah by your side, you will be able to handle practically every situation that comes without undue worry or anxiety. He will help you develop good judgment and assist you to have other protective measures in place, such as smoke detectors and the like.
