Hello with a warm welcome! Please consider approaching Jehovah GOD in prayer, which can be done silently, simply speaking internally, seeking His blessing on your consideration of His inspired Word, the Holy Bible. Then may you enjoy reviewing the last several stanzas of Psalm 119, being reminded of several of God's fine standards [established by authority (in this case, the Sovereign LORD Jehovah God) and based on God's loyal love and truth.] Of course, Jesus Christ, the firstborn Son of God who came to earth some 2000 years ago, to begin finding a select group of followers who would rejoice to dwell with him in accomplishing God's purpose from a "heavenly" station, actually laid down an outline for a course of life and a ministry that was to be fulfilled by someone yet to come. That someone was me, way back in 2003, in agreement with a prophecy in Daniel regarding "the going forth of the word to restore and rebuild Jerusalem until Messiah the leader." That word went forth to begin the Protestant Reformation many centuries ago, eventually producing Twelve+ Tribes of Christianity (see the article elsewhere on this website). The prophecy was thus referring to a different kind of Israel, a spiritual Israel, as regards the favored land of Christianity. The rebuilding of "Jerusalem," the ruling city of the people of God, has reference to eventually restoring, as of now, the promised divine rulership of God by the heavenly Kingdom through this Messiah, revealed at God's appointed time, to accomplish His will. (Luke 24:44; Mark 1:15). Some time ago I did express my intention to begin a campaign seeking the office of the Presidency of the United States, beginning the segment "Come to Consensus Corner" as a way to outline some of the policies that God's Kingdom would or could use here on earth, in harmony with God's inspired Word, to "let [God's] will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth." (Matthew 6:9-10). By holy spirit I lovingly seek to continue assisting mankind as we accomplish Jehovah's will, wanting to never let Jehovah God, His Son Jesus down, or those loving them or turning from wrongdoing, but rather to see them rejoice at the outworking of Jehovah's wonderful, loving purpose toward mankind! Let's also give consideration to Proverbs 9, and other segments this week including Come to Consensus Corner, relaying an important previous installment.
OCT 31 SAT Sought Jehovah's assistance, encouraging as many as possible by my words to as many as would listen to skip the traditional Halloween plans and instead visit family and friends, encouraging them where possible, talking up the value of applying God's word in our lives, perhaps even benefitting from this website!

VALUE OF PROPER SALT AND/OR SODIUM.
Some time ago, news articles propounded and extolled the value of salt in the diet. In fact, in history it was considered at one point so valuable that it was used to pay Roman soldiers as money to be exchanged for goods and services! However, at that time, what was the composition of the salt that was worth so much? Was it merely what some think of as "table salt" in this country, or was it actually salt from the sea, comprised of some 80 or more valuable trace minerals, being known as "sea salt"? One recommended brand is called "Celtic Sea Salt." It may come in another form, that which is acquired from beneath the earth's surface, from ancient seabeds. This is similar, but often called other names, such as a recommended brand "Himalayan Pink Salt, Fine Grain." Sea salt is differentiated from Organic sodium, which is found in such things as Celery and Celery seed. This sodium is very valuable in the body, even helping form a barrier in the stomach's wall to protect it from the stomach acid that assists digestion. It's benefits are numerous and varied. However, so is, surprisingly in some circles, sea salt or salt from mines. This sea salt supports and sustains our lives as it assists numerous chemical reactions throughout our bodies. At one point, this knowledge grabbed such attention in the media that former "salt" began to be added to almost everything. But in that form and at such great quantity, it caused in people unwanted side effects, such as high blood pressure. This is because the kidneys, functioning in part as a filter for the blood, became "clogged" with a combination of this compound reacting with other things being carried by the bloodstream, while lacking supporting trace minerals. By the world's replacing ordinary salt with the "NEW TABLE SALT" using genuine sea salt, WITH it's natural trace minerals included, or mined salt alike, in agreeable quantity, to which may or may not be included just a hint of ground Celery Seed, such effects should largely subside, and contribute greatly to our overall health.

PSALM 119 REVIEW 5
Stanza 16 Theme: PROVE A LOYAL SERVANT OF GOD, BY PRACTICING WHAT IS JUST AND RIGHT.
These verses show God looks after the welfare of His loyal servants, who practice what is just and righteous. How might understanding help us to know God’s reminders, and why should we highly value God’s commandments?
121 I have done what is just and righteous. Do not abandon me to my oppressors!
STRIVE FOR BLAMELESS INTEGRITY.
The psalmist here pleads for God’s protection on the basis of his adherence to the path of righteousness. Some would imagine that the ransom sacrifice of Christ somehow means we no longer have to practice what is right—What a mistake! Recall Jesus said, early in his Sermon on the Mount, “17 “Do not think I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I came, not to destroy, but to fulfill. 18 Truly I say to you that sooner would heaven and earth pass away than for one smallest letter or one stroke of a letter to pass away from the Law until all things take place. 19 Whoever, therefore, breaks one of these least commandments and teaches others to do so will be called least in relation to the Kingdom of the heavens. But whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in relation to the Kingdom of the heavens. 20 For I say to you that if your righteousness does not surpass that of the scribes and the Pharisees, you will by no means enter into the Kingdom of the heavens.” The ransom is primarily to cover our unintentional, occasional misses as we strive for the target of righteousness, or blameless integrity to God. (Romans 3:31; 6:15-17). With full faith in Christ, striving to carefully follow his example of righteousness and keep his commands, we may likewise appeal to God if being oppressed, as the psalmist requests in these two verses.
122 Guarantee the welfare of your servant; May the presumptuous not oppress me.
FAITHFUL ENDURANCE, HOLDING FIRMLY.
Going further, the psalmist wants his welfare guaranteed. While God has not promised that we won’t be harmed in some way in this system of things, He can look after our welfare, primarily our spiritual welfare—our well-being, and long-term relationships with God and God-fearing ones. The psalmist has been oppressed by presumptuous ones, at one point having been “greatly afflicted” (v.107). He stated: “92 If I had not been fond of your law, I would have perished in my affliction.” Yet he had things to learn. He said: “71 It is good that I have been afflicted, So that I may learn your ["regulations" (guiding laws and instructions that are necessary to lawfully regulate our lives, bringing about true freedom from the corrupting effects of lawlessness, and true peace that is otherwise possible)].” And he said: “67 Before I was afflicted, I used to go astray, But now I keep your saying.” Perhaps now that he is more familiar with God’s law and holding firmly to it as God’s “servant,” having done “what is just and righteous,” he appeals for greater protection from immodest, lawless presumptuous oppressors. Still, he recognizes: “75 I know, O Jehovah, that your judgments are righteous And that you have afflicted me in your faithfulness.” May we place our full trust in God, confident that: “13 No temptation has come upon you except what is common to men. But God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out so that you may be able to endure it.” The goal is faithful endurance to God, holding firmly to His way, accepting what God permits, while hoping for the best possible outcome under the circumstances. Soon, God’s kingdom will usher in greater blessings, and lead us to a world of righteousness and genuine peace earthwide! (Psalm 37:9-11; 2Peter 3:13).
125 I am your servant; give me understanding, So that I may know your reminders.
OBEYING GOD, PRAY FOR DIVINE UNDERSTANDING.
Proving a loyal “servant” of Jehovah, by practicing what is just and right in accord with His word, he was therefore worthy of receiving from God the right kind of understanding. Since this divine quality is vital to receive the "fear of Jehovah," which is the "start of wisdom," he must have been appealing for increased understanding to "know" God's reminders. This quality involves seeing the reality, particularly regarding divine knowledge, and how parts interrelate to make the whole of it. God’s reminders can cover the entire scope of worshipping Him acceptably, keeping His law. Understanding true worship fully makes possible a deeper appreciation for God’s reminders, seeing the reasons for them.
127 That is why I love your commandments More than gold, even fine gold.
LOVING GOD'S COMMANDS MEAN LIFE.
Thus we should, like the psalmist, highly value God’s commandments, for they contribute to the eternal welfare and happiness of all humans. While “gold” or money is necessary to get along in life, as this likely king or future king well understood, he placed the priority on God’s word, or spiritual matters. It is as stated at Ecclesiastes 7:12: “12 For wisdom is a protection just as money is a protection, but the advantage of knowledge is this: Wisdom preserves the life of its owner.” Jesus showed that God himself can provide materially for His servants, as they put God’s will first in life. In fact, he revealed that only one can be put first—either God or Riches. He said, at Matthew 6:24: “24 “No one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot slave for God and for Riches.” The psalmist thus chose to love God and His law more than anything money could buy. Eternal life is not available for a monetary price. One must come to love God and others in a genuine way, in harmony with godly wisdom, in accord with God’s word and law, with faith, or deep trust in God and His Son, getting to know them well, to “get a firm hold on the real life”—the everlasting life God has prepared for those who “continue loving Him.” (John 17:3; 1Timo 6:19; James 1:12).
Stanza 17 Theme: GOD’S WORDS IMPART UNDERSTANDING, THOSE LOVING GOD’S NAME ARE SHOWN FAVOR.
These verses express love for various aspects of God’s word, including His reminders and commandments. Why does the psalmist sigh over those not keeping God’s law?
129 Your reminders are wonderful. That is why I observe them.
GOD'S REMINDERS BENEFIT US.
Clearly the psalmist was well-motivated to obey Jehovah, not doing so out of morbid fear of torment or tormenting “discipline” if he failed to obey. Rather, love for God and His marvelous inspired word moved him, as he developed deep appreciation. The reminders we receive by reading God’s word regularly, and being where the truth of God’s word is discussed, and in association with those of such faith, truly do better our lives and promote happiness and contentment. The psalmist thus found them to be wonderful, despite pressures to ignore or violate God’s law by wrongdoers. May we likewise consider God’s word carefully, deepening our appreciation for it. As Peter instructed early Christians, including those not yet holding to Christian standards, at 1Peter 2:2-3: “2 As newborn infants, form a longing for the unadulterated milk of the word, so that by means of it you may grow to salvation, 3 provided you have tasted that the Lord is kind.”
130 The disclosure of your words brings light, Giving understanding to the [imprudent].
THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.
As a lamp needs to be lit, and as a light needs to be turned on to function, so God’s words need to be disclosed, shared, or “unfolded” to enlighten others to divine truth. This imparts understanding to those lacking—the imprudent, or younger ones. Jesus told his disciples: “14 “You are the light of the world. A city cannot be hid when located on a mountain. 15 People light a lamp and set it, not under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it shines on all those in the house. 16 Likewise, let your light shine before men, so that they may see your fine works and give glory to your Father who is in the heavens.” Thus, as God’s word is revealed and explained to us and others, we may listen and apply it’s counsel, causing us to be “rich in fine works” as a good example for others in imitation of Christ. (1Timo 6:18).
132 Turn to me and show me favor, In keeping with your judgment toward those loving your name.
RIGHT MOTIVATION.
“Loving [God’s] name” is one of the most helpful motivations to learning and applying Bible truth. If we seek to uphold God’s reputation in the way we live, honoring Him and showing others the right way to go, we can unselfishly grow in godly wisdom. We should strive to be pure, seeking God’s honor far above our own (1Cori 10:31). On this basis, the psalmist pleaded for God’s favor.
136 Tears stream down from my eyes Because people do not keep your law.
THE VALUE OF GOD'S LAW.
Thus, the peace and happiness that all people seek can only be truly found in harmony with God and His law. The psalmist clearly cared about people enough to feel for those not recognizing Jehovah God’s desire and ability to help them prosper spiritually. Psalm 19:7-10 sums up the value of God’s law: “7 The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring strength. The reminder of Jehovah is trustworthy, making the inexperienced one wise. 8 The orders from Jehovah are righteous, causing the heart to rejoice; The commandment of Jehovah is clean, making the eyes shine [“enlightening the eyes”, AMP]. 9 The fear of Jehovah is pure, lasting forever. The judgments of Jehovah are true, altogether righteous. 10 They are more desirable than gold, Than much fine gold, And sweeter than honey, the honey that drips from the combs.”
Stanza 18 Theme: IN SPITE OF TEMPORARY ILL TREATMENT BY ADVERSARIES, GOD IS TRUE AND JUST, HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS ETERNAL.
The 8 verses of this stanza remind us of God’s eternal righteousness, HIs reliable reminders, His trustworthy law. How is God’s saying thoroughly refined, and how is it that God's law is truth?
ALL HIS WAYS ARE JUSTICE. Moses sang, at Deuteronomy 32:3-5, "For I will declare the name of Jehovah. Tell about the greatness of our God! 4 The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness who is never unjust; Righteous and upright is he. 5 They are the ones who have acted corruptly. They are not his children, the defect is their own. They are a crooked and twisted generation!" May we keep in mind such thoughts when we see the wrongdoing of some, while God appeals to all to keep His ways. Those choosing to ignore God are hurting themselves and others, as they often act contrary to what is in mankind's best interests. God is kind, and not a fault-finder--He is not looking for ways to accuse us. Rather, He loves us, showering mankind with so many gifts, and wants us to be moved by His great love and the proven wisdom of His ways to love and obey Him in return (1John 4:8; 5:3; James 1:17).
APPRECIATE TRUSTWORTHY REMINDERS. We may thus put complete faith in the things God has commanded that His people be reminded of on a regular basis. The Christian apostles Peter was aware of the need to give such reminders. He stated at 2Peter 1:12, "For this reason I intend always to remind you of these things, although you know them and are well-established in the truth that is present in you." Such reminders would be in harmony with God's right ways and standards, being "righteous," adhering to God's law through Christ, and likewise trustworthy. May we not tire of hearing such reminders, expressed and explained in various ways, that we may come to know, understand, and love these, helping us to maintain our right standing with God and peace with our fellowman.
140 Your saying is thoroughly refined, And your servant loves it.
WONDERFUL AND RELIABLE WORDS. It is 2Timothy 3:16-17 which says of God's word: "All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving [strong correction], for setting things straight [readjusting], for disciplining in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." The more we examine God's wonderful and reliable words we find evidence of it's wisdom and divine inspiration. This text is simplified in NIRV, reading: "God has breathed life into all of Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right. 17 By using Scripture, a man of God can be completely prepared to do every good thing." The psalmist saw it's thorough truthfulness, and loved it--may we come to have the same appreciation!
142 Your righteousness is an eternal righteousness, And your law is truth.
THE WAY OF ETERNITY. God's righteousness, or way--encompassing His right laws and standards--is clearly the way of eternity. Understandably, we are to ever live in a way that trusts our reliable God of love, and promotes real peace with Him and others, universally. Jehovah loves truth rooted in unselfish love, and is the "God of truth." (Isaiah 65:16). His divine law is perfectly arranged to support such truth, encouraging us to live and act in harmony with it. Thus it can be said that Jehovah's "law IS truth."
Stanza 19 Theme: CALL UPON JEHOVAH WITH FAITH, HOPE, AND INTEGRITY.
We’re reminded that when we wholeheartedly call upon Jehovah He will hear and answer us. We must do so in faith, seeking integrity, and be persistent in our requests. How is knowledge of God to last forever?
145 I call with my whole heart. Answer me, O Jehovah. Your [instructions] I will observe.
TRUE, LIVING FAITH NOT MERE BELIEF. Clearly the psalmist loved receiving answers from Jehovah regarding his pleas, whole-heartedly calling upon Him. The psalmist makes known through several verses that doing so includes observing God’s instructions, seeking integrity to Him. He is flat out determined to obey God. Thus genuine faith in God is not mere belief, but is accompanied by actions that prove it’s sincerity. James writes: “14 Of what benefit is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but he does not have works? That faith cannot save him, can it? 15 If any brothers or sisters are lacking clothing and enough food for the day, 16 yet one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but you do not give them what they need for their body, of what benefit is it? 17 So, too, faith by itself, without works, is dead.” Thus the good knowledge we take in must be pondered to examine how it should affect us, what actions or obedience it should inspire, thereby reaching our figurative heart.
147 I have been awake before dawn to cry for help, For your words are my hope.
FAITH AND PERSISTENCE FOR SUPPORT. If we face distress or hardship like the psalmist, may we supplicate Jehovah for help as needed. He clearly found strength and comfort from God’s word of promise to him. Waking early gave him a quiet time to prayerfully reflect on God’s words, and remember the hope they have inspired within him. By enduring hardship with integrity, such hope becomes ever stronger in the promises God has made to us. He does promise support, but we must, like the psalmist, put our faith, or deep trust, in Him and His words. We must also be persistent in our requests. Jesus gave illustrations highlighting the need for such persistence. His lesson: “9 So I say to you, keep on asking, and it will be given you; keep on seeking, and you will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone asking receives, and everyone seeking finds, and to everyone knocking, it will be opened.” May we likewise seek God’s help, hoping in God’s words of wisdom and promise.
"REALLY FIND HIM" We may rejoice at the nearness of Jehovah—the One we can access by prayer at any time, anywhere. The apostle Paul told the men of Athens, concerning God, “26 And he made out of one man every nation of men to dwell on the entire surface of the earth...27 so that they would seek God, if they might grope for him and really find him, although, in fact, he is not far off from each one of us.” Thus Jehovah is not far away even from those somewhat unfamiliar with His word, the Bible. He cares deeply for all mankind, as Paul continues: “28 For by him we have life and move and exist, even as some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also his children.’” Also, all of God’s commandments “are truth.” As Psalm 19:8 says, “the commandment of the Lord is pure and bright, enlightening the eyes.” (AMP). Thus keeping God’s commands enable us to serve God fully, living in harmony with divine truth, and helping us avoid spiritual blindness or darkness. We may thus see divine truth more clearly.
"THE DEPTH OF GOD'S...WISDOM" How we can appreciate God’s refined word, the wisdom of which has proven true on many levels. “33 O the depth of God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable his judgments are and beyond tracing out his ways are!” God’s word itself contains the reminders that we all need to maintain our spiritual awareness and faithfulness to God, evidently into eternity! Clearly from this statement of the psalmist, the knowledge of God will “last forever,” along with needed reminders from Him. Isaiah 40:8 says: “8 The green grass dries up, The blossom withers, But the word of our God endures forever.” Thus the word of God, from Genesis to Revelation (with it’s climactic charm), 66 or 70 books if separating the 5 books of Psalms, is a treasure trove of divine knowledge that we can enjoy and appreciate for all time to come, as the holy book that introduced mankind to it’s breathtaking Author, the Creator, Jehovah God. Any additional “scrolls,” unnumbered in Revelation, will no doubt likewise encourage lovers of divine truth, as well as any further revealed will of Jehovah, on into eternity.

Proverbs 9
"1 True wisdom has built its house; It has carved out its seven pillars. 2 It has fully prepared its meat; It has mixed its wine; It has also arranged its table. 3 It has sent out its female servants To call out from the heights above the city: 4 “Whoever is inexperienced, let him come in here.” She says to the one lacking good sense: 5 “Come, eat my bread And share in drinking the wine that I have mixed. 6 Leave behind your inexperience and live; Walk forward in the way of understanding.”
Prove 9:1 Jesus spoke of building a house with faith and obedience to his sayings and commands. (Matth 7:24,25). Thus we seek God's righteousness, adherence to God's way, as the framework for a happy and successful life and family, both now and long into the future, everlastingly. Also the house should be built with true love for God and neighbor. However, what about the seven pillars of wisdom? What does Proverbs reveal as to some of the essentials? The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of both wisdom and knowledge. (Prove 1:7; 9:10), and is accompanied by a crucial attitude of humility. So we need to have trust in Jehovah, faith in our powerful God of love, and Christ. Jesus Christ is the foundation cornerstone, with the prophets and Christian apostles forming the foundation itself. (Ephes 2:20). Our faith in Jesus and his loving sacrifice is crucial to the gaining of life. Divine knowledge should thus also be a pillar. Both discernment and understanding are highlighted as crucial to learning the fear of Jehovah. (Proverbs 2:1-5) Also, foresighted shrewdness assisting good judgment is vital as well, being able to look ahead at consequences of good and bad decisions, using such knowledge accordingly. (Prove 22:3; 14:15). Then truth, with faithfulness, honest integrity or righteousness should likewise be included. Again, the entire house should be built with love for both God and others, with faith, and in accord with God's righteousness. Aside from referring to seven vital qualities associated with wisdom, it is entirely possible that the seven pillars may refer to distinct areas of knowledge essential to living under the rule of God's Kingdom.
Prove 9:2-6 The "meat" refers to solid spiritual food, promoting
genuine growth in Christian love. Wine is for rejoicing, and is indicative of
the deep happiness or joy that can accompany strong spirituality, or even
spiritual growth in general, as joy is a fruit of God's holy spirit. The
inexperienced need foresighted shrewdness, to learn and consider
the consequences of both good and bad decisions, speech, and actions. They need
to properly evaluate such things to make wise decisions, acting accordingly. We
do not need to experience the bad to understand it's consequences. We can learn
from God's word and the experience of others, and safeguard our spirituality
and happiness. In doing so, discernment is acquired and safeguarded, to tell
true from false, and right from wrong, and to tell what is truly important from
what isn't nearly so. Then, knowledge and understanding may be used beneficially.
Thus the admonition to "walk forward in the way of understanding."
"10 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom, And knowledge of the Most Holy One is understanding. 11 For by me your days will be many, And years will be added to your life. 12 If you become wise, you are wise to your own advantage, But if you are a ridiculer, you alone will bear it."
Prove 9:10 Learning to respect and fear God properly is the proper motive for beginning to obtain divine wisdom. Without respecting our Creator, the Bible mentions a type of wisdom that is not divine, saying "this is not the wisdom that comes down from above; it is earthly, animalistic, demonic." (James 3:15). Recall also that the fear of Jehovah means the hating of bad. We must fear to displease God, fear hurting Him in any way by sinning against Him or others. Remember that God warns us from sin for our benefit--He knows the sad results of bad thinking, decisions and actions, and wants us to avoid such and find true happiness in life. Also, genuine knowledge is gained with divine understanding, aiming to see the big picture, and see how each piece fits in with the others, seeking God's view of matters. This is especially important with the gaining of divine knowledge.
"11 For by me your days will be many, And years will be added to your life."
Prove 9:11 By true wisdom we can happily hope in divine favor and endless life with a closeness to God, a loyal marriage partner, and earth-wide family and friends. And only Jehovah GOD can return life to our ancestors and loved ones of the past, who have been "sleeping in death." God yearns to bring them back to us! Imagine eternal life knowing those we love, loving God and us, are safe, secure and happy with Jehovah!
"12 If you become wise, you are wise to your own advantage, But if you are a ridiculer, you alone will bear it."
Prove 9:12 True wisdom acting in harmony with godly love looks out for the benefit of all persons, but certainly it also benefits ourselves, helping us find true success in life. However, starkly opposed to true wisdom is the practice of ridiculing or even reviling others. A fault-finder is not loving, and is not benefitting himself or others by his negative thinking. If he continues, he will actually bring much trouble and have to deal with the consequences. Clearly being in the habit of ridiculing others to exalt oneself does not contribute to true, divine, or lasting wisdom.
Prove 9:13 This woman is "loud," devoid of the "quiet and mild spirit which is of great value in the eyes of God," marked by humility, patience, and gentle mildness. (1Pete 3:4). The "stupid" woman is not necessarily unintelligent by worldly standards. She is MORALLY foolish, ignorant of the value of God's standards. She may well know what God says is right, but does not understand the path of righteousness, and often chooses to disregard the right path, to her harm, and that of others. She "knows absolutely nothing" regarding divine knowledge, not understanding the "fear of Jehovah" which is the "beginning of knowledge" and the "beginning of wisdom" (Prove 1:7; 9:10). The things she is aware of do not contribute to one's receiving of eternal life from God, rather she often discourages others from keeping integrity to God.
GREATEST MAN, CHRISTIAN STANDARDS
_______
LIFT UP YOUR EYES ...As we began to consider previously, man’s Creator, GOD, has demonstrated great love, power, wisdom, and even a sense of justice in the way He made the Universe, this planet, and all that is on and within it. This includes such an incredible variety of creatures, and food supporting man, who according to GOD’s inspired Word, the Bible, is the only physical, or physiological, creature made “in GOD’s image,” or after HIS likeness, having capacity for the same qualities and full character such as HE has (Genesis 1:26). The Bible opens with these inspiring words: “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genesis 1:1). Who has raised their eyes to a clear night sky, away from city lights, and not been impressed by the vastness and the sheer number and presumed order of the stars reaching our planet’s view. Notice what the Bible says regarding this: “26 “Lift up your eyes to heaven and see. Who has created these things? It is the One who brings out their army by number; He calls them all by name. Because of his vast dynamic energy and his awe-inspiring power, Not one of them is missing.” (Isaiah 40:26).
DEEPLY IMPRESSED? If you had all the names of these stars in front of you, how many of them could you recall? How long would it take you to learn a thousand, a million, a billion, a trillion? As GOD created them, He reasonably named them, over aeons of time, and Has the capacity to remain familiar with each one. Can we not be deeply impressed, and inspired, as we contemplate and ponder GOD’s great power? Previous to that verse in the Bible book of Isaiah, comes this question from GOD Himself: “25 “To whom can you liken me to make me his equal?” says the Holy One.” Thus, no creation of GOD deserves the same respect, devotion, even worship that only GOD deserves. And by GOD’s own word, another of His inspiring qualities comes to the fore: He is “the Holy One.” Contrary to some opinion, this quality should be quite attractive—it means GOD is pure, clean, uncorrupt, never abusive of His power. That quality does not make Him arrogant, rather it is as He says at Isaiah 57:15: “15 For this is what the High and Lofty One says, Who lives forever and whose name is holy: “I reside in the high and holy place, But also with those crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of those being crushed.” Thus this quality is in agreement with His primary quality, LOVE.
THE GOD WHO “IS LOVE”
LOVING GOD AND NEIGHBOR. Not only has GOD revealed tremendous love in the way He made mankind and this earth, but His Word, the Bible, actually goes into greater detail on how this quality is cultivated and demonstrated. Other qualities come together to make up this crowning quality of LOVE, which is not only shown by GOD, but should be shown by humans for GOD and for other humans. GOD’s Son Jesus, revealed the greatest commandments of GOD’s law to descendants of HIS servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, renamed Israel, whose lives are depicted in the first Bible book of Genesis. That law is detailed in the Bible books of Exodus and Leviticus. The fifth book of Deuteronomy explains some of that law, in encouraging GOD’s people at that time to love and obey Him implicitly, en route to the Promised Land of their inheritance. GOD had loyally promised Abraham that his descendants would acquire a land of Promise, a land “flowing with milk and honey.” (Exodus 3:8). The commandments Jesus said were greatest had to do with LOVE—we are to love GOD with all we have, and then our neighbor as ourselves. (Matthew 22:37-39). We show our love for GOD by obeying Him (1John 5:3). IT IS GOD WHO KNOWS BEST HOW HUMANS CAN DWELL TOGETHER IN TRUE PEACE AND HAPPINESS—BY OBEYING GOD FIRST WE THUS MAKE HIM HAPPY, SHOW MORE COMPLETE LOVE TO OTHERS, AND PROMOTE GENUINE UNITY.
BLESSED FOR OBEDIENCE. Abraham’s descendants eventually ended up in Egypt, as slaves, but at GOD’s appointed time, HE loyally saved them from their plight, and keeping His promise to His faithful servant Abraham, eventually brought them into the Land Promised to them. When they obeyed GOD, they were blessed, and under the rule of David’s son Solomon, there was extraordinary peace and prosperity, as a foregleam of earthwide promises GOD has made for the near future in our day, under the promised rule of “a son of man,” born in the line of David, with even greater blessings by GOD. (1Kings 4:25; Jeremiah 23:5; Daniel 7:13-14; Psalm 72:7-8; Psalm 132:10-11; Luke 18:7-8). The Bible book of Revelation, among other Bible books, foretells blessings of a government on earth having HIS approval.
GOD’S PURPOSES LOVING, BENEFICIAL, ENLIGHTENING AND TRUSTWORTHY
HE WILL WIPE OUT EVERY TEAR. Revelation makes this promise: “3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:3-4). Must all people ascend to heaven for true happiness and peace, or is it possible that such conditions could, with GOD’s blessing, come about right here on planet Earth, “with mankind?”!! The Creator, GOD Himself, has an incredible record of reliability regarding His purposes, just as HE was able to rescue His people Israel out of slavery in Egypt, out of the hands of Pharaoh’s army, parting the Red Sea for their escape, where to this day is evidence of Pharaoh’s chariots and chariot wheels, which God’s word stated HE was removing from the chariots as HE fought against them to protect Israel. (Exodus 14:25, KJV).
TRUST GOD AND HIS WORD FOR SALVATION. What of Pharaoh’s army, who perished in the Red Sea? This story makes it clear that people need FAITH, or CONFIDENCE IN GOD AND HIS WORD for salvation and happiness. How so? You may recall that this occurred only after the Tenth Plague on Egypt, the striking of the firstborn. JEHOVAH is a GOD of freedom—so HE allows people to choose their own course, although there are often consequences to bad decisions. God allowed Pharaoh to become so stubborn, despite all the proof of GOD’s great power over the other gods of Egypt. Still, all that was necessary was the placing of the blood of a lamb or a goat on the doorposts of a home, likely using the animal as for a life-saving meal, for the angel to “pass over” the house and not strike the firstborn. Those showing no faith in GOD or HIS WORD, and didn’t heed the warning, did suffer loss. Still, the seriousness of the matter of letting GOD’S PEOPLE GO and worship Him was also made clear—it had become a life or death matter to GOD. It was the Hebrew Joseph that GOD used to save countless lives in Egypt and elsewhere during the great famine. (Genesis 41:54-57). For hundreds of years Egypt had benefitted from Hebrew labor and toil. Yet, that time was up—rather, it was time for GOD to keep His promise to His Hebrew servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Thus, chasing after GOD’s people, showing no faith in GOD’s power, was risky business. Israel, however, left with a vast mixed crowd of EGYPTIANS—WHO DID PUT FAITH IN GOD, and wanted to worship HIM among GOD’s people. (Exodus 12:38). Thus it was an individual choice to love and obey GOD or not. It is ultimately ENDLESS LIFE IN TRUE HAPPINESS that GOD PURPOSES for obedient mankind. (Psalm 37:29).
CONCLUSION:
JESUS’ SIMILAR PLEA. Did Jesus support this recommendation? Absolutely! Among the important statements He made when being tempted by God’s enemy Satan at the time was this: “It is written: “ MAN MUST LIVE, NOT ON BREAD ALONE, BUT ON EVERY WORD COMING FROM JEHOVAH’S MOUTH. ” (Matthew 4:4). Thus, all should aim to become keenly aware of GOD’s instruction and guidance, benefitting from it regularly, just as we benefit from life-promoting food on a daily basis. Another Scripture stating the value of GOD’s written word, is found at 2Timothy 3:16-17.
UNDER THE RULE OF GOD’S GOVERNMENT, THE STANDARDS SET FORTH IN HIS WORD WILL MAKE POSSIBLE PUBLIC POLICIES THAT PROMOTE HONESTY, FAIRNESS, REASONABLENESS AND HAPPINESS.
It may be that even now adherence to GOD's word is allowing some success in policy-making and follow-through. Many of GOD’s policies are clearly set forth in His Word. Still, some questions remain: Is GOD’s word meant to be understood accurately? How so, and how might misunderstandings have hindered confidence in GOD? Also, how is GOD’s purpose Universal in scope, but what should come first? And, HOW IS IT THAT GOD’S STANDARDS ARE REALISTIC, REASONABLE, RELIABLE AND REWARDING?
_______
TRUTHFUL GUIDANCE? Did GOD intend for so many things to remain confusing, or did HE give us enough truthful instruction that those loving HIM and HIS Son may really get to know them well enough to understand GOD’s loving and just purposes for mankind, and to practice qualities that contribute to lasting peace, unity, and happiness, endearing ones to them? We needn’t wonder, for GOD’s Word itself has the answer. Notice, for instance, the desire of GOD expressed at 1Corinthians 1:10:
“10 Now I urge you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you should all speak in agreement and that there should be no divisions among you, but that you may be completely united in the same mind and in the same line of thought.”
TRUE UNITY POSSIBLE. What can bring about such unity? Notice, respect for the Lord Jesus Christ is involved. Accordingly, adherence to the truth of God’s word and will. Jesus said in prayer to GOD, for instance, regarding his disciples: “17 Sanctify them by means of the truth; your word is truth.“ (John 17:17). Loyal love for GOD is involved, and 1John 5:3 says: “3 For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome.” Likewise, Isaiah 48:17-18 says: “17 This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser, the Holy One of Israel: “I, Jehovah, am your God, The One teaching you to benefit yourself, The One guiding you in the way you should walk. 18 If only you would pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river And your righteousness like the waves of the sea.” Thus peace would flow abundantly, and adherence to GOD’s right laws and standards would be shown consistently. This is made possible by getting to know GOD and Jesus through attention to GOD’s inspired word, the Bible. As John 17:3 says: “3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ.” Therefore, both Jehovah and Jesus are involved in eternal salvation, and their personalities are similar, according to the Bible.
Bible Grammar and Translation Sometimes a Factor
MISUNDERSTOOD GRAMMAR. There are instances where incorrect grammar translation has resulted in confusion about an important spiritual matter, even hindering the faith of some in the Creator. Here is a significant example, involving a common mistranslation that affects our view of prayer. Have you ever prayed for something once, perhaps a reasonable request of God, expecting it to come to you soon afterward? Were you then disappointed, left questioning the Creator’s power or love or justice or wisdom, or His rightful authority as the “Hearer of prayer?” (Psalm 65:2). You may have read in the Bible Jesus’ own words, such as at Luke 11:9, in the King James Version: “And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.” Would this not give credence to your thinking? Yet, is this really the correct grammar for this verse, and does the context support it?
CONTEXT REVEALS TRUTH. The actual correct grammar here is known as the “present imperative” in Koine Greek, the original language of this Bible book. Notice how the NWT, the New World Translation, translates this text: ““9 So I say to you, keep on asking, and it will be given you; keep on seeking, and you will find; keep on knocking, and it will be opened to you.” The emphasis here is on persistence, which is the lesson Jesus had just taught in the preceding parable! Many Bible versions mistranslate this verse, after the pattern of the KJV. Notice the parable Jesus uses in verses 5-8, KJV: “5 And he said unto them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go unto him at midnight, and say unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves; 6 For a friend of mine in his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him? 7 And he from within shall answer and say, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give thee. 8 I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet because of his importunity he will rise and give him as many as he needeth.” Now, we must understand “importunity” to comprehend this—to be importunate is “troublesomely urgent: overly persistent in request or demand.” (Merriam-Webster, 2018) So as verse 8 says, because of his urgent and persistent requests the friend gave him what he needed. Therefore, God wants us to be persistent in our requests that really matter to us in harmony with His will, in faith trusting in Him to hear and supply what’s needed as He deems appropriate. Might this not help to bolster the faith of some who didn’t realize the correct translation of that important Bible verse? Of course, other factors are involved in the answering of prayers by God, but clearly this point is more than trivial. This provides evidence as well that Bible translators are not infallible—they can make mistakes in their translating work. Yet, the Bible has largely been translated rather faithfully from it’s original languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Most mistakes are usually minor in importance, although some serious discrepancies have crept in. (For a better understanding, see the article “ Finding Truth ” or “ Bible Translations—Are Their Translators Infallible ” elsewhere on this website).
CHRISTIANITY A MARCH OF LIFE
MANY TO MAINTAIN LIFE INTO ETERNITY! It appears that some have the notion that embracing Christianity is signing on to martyrdom. THAT IS NOT THE WILL OF GOD! They may get this notion by misinterpreting Scriptures such as 1Peter 2:21, where Peter, in the context of enduring hardships and insults from others, writes: “In fact, to this course you were called, because even Christ suffered for you, leaving a model for you to follow his steps closely.” It is not his death that Christians are to follow closely, but his faithful obedience to God and his patient endurance of wrong. While Christians should be willing to loyally obey God even in the face of threats and death, as some early Christians did, this was largely done by those having a hope of heavenly life as faithful rulers with Christ—not that of an earthly Paradise, under Christ’s rulership. The truth is, Christ actually died for others, that many may not even EVER have to face death! Notice a few Scriptures: 2Corinthians 5:14-15 says this: “14 For the love the Christ has compels us, because this is what we have concluded, that one man died for all; so, then, all had died. 15 And he died for all so that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for him who died for them and was raised up.” And when Jesus’ friend Lazarus had died, Martha acknowledged to Jesus: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” She was restating Jesus’ own teachings regarding the condition of the dead, the majority of whom are “sleeping in death,” and awaiting a future resurrection (Matthew 9:24; John 11:11,14; 1Thessalonians 4:13). Jesus then said this: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life; and everyone who is living and exercises faith in me will never die at all. Do you believe this?” Thus Jesus showed that many may even survive “the great tribulation” foretold in GOD’s word, by heeding the the word of GOD and HIS son. (Revelation 7:9-10,13-15).
FAITH VITAL! Thus it would be those having FAITH, OR DEEP TRUST, IN GOD AND THE PROMISED SEED, like Israel’s forefather ABRAHAM, that would lead them to eternal life. Thus, after fleshly Israel largely opposed and rejected the son of God, the “ISRAEL OF GOD” became “all those who walk orderly by this (Christian) rule of conduct, peace and mercy be upon them, yes, upon the Israel of God.” (Galatians 6:16; Mathew 23:37-39). Of course, many of fleshly Israel did have faith in Jesus, and these made up the first of those chosen to rule with Christ above. Yet GOD clearly purposed for those of all nations to have opportunity for eternal life through such faith. Thus GOD had told Abraham: “I will surely bless you and I will surely multiply your offspring like the stars of the heavens and like the grains of sand on the seashore, and your offspring will take possession of the gate of his enemies.” (Genesis 22:17). In referencing the “stars of the heavens” and the multitudinous “grains of sand on the seashore,” JEHOVAH GOD doubtless had in mind HIS purpose to fill the entire Universe with people deeply trusting HIM as did HIS “friend,” Abraham (Isaiah 41:8). GOD’S PURPOSE IS THUS UNIVERSAL, BUT FIRST THINGS FIRST: GOD first purposes for those of earth to return to human perfection and health, and clean man’s home planet, the earth, to make it the gem GOD originally intended it to be, welcoming back our ancestors of times past, and helping them learn of GOD’s right ways. To properly care for Earth, global warming must be halted, so the earth can return to it’s normal healthy cycles. In fact, GOD has judgment against those who refuse to cooperate with HIS purpose to protect Man’s earthly home, both spiritually and physically. (Revelation 11:18).
Thus, to reiterate from last week’s post:
UNDER THE RULE OF GOD’S GOVERNMENT, THE STANDARDS SET FORTH IN HIS WORD WILL MAKE POSSIBLE PUBLIC POLICIES THAT PROMOTE HONESTY, FAIRNESS, REASONABLENESS AND HAPPINESS.
Such happiness of course includes a healthy home environment, both physically and spiritually, cared for properly by Earth’s inhabitants, those who will respect our planetary home.
GOD’S STANDARDS REALISTIC, REASONABLE, RELIABLE, REWARDING
REALISTIC. The laws and pure standards that GOD sets forth in His word the Bible are “not burdensome” to keep, but rather “healthful” and capable of being practiced. Notice the opening words of Psalm 119, clarifying this in verses 1-4: “119 Happy are those who are blameless in their way, Who walk in the law of Jehovah. 2 Happy are those who observe his reminders, Who search for him with all their heart. 3 They practice no unrighteousness; They walk in his ways. 4 You have commanded That your orders be carefully kept.” Thus there are many truly heeding GOD’s word and law, living by it day to day, delighting in integrity to GOD, loving HIM and others, and finding true happiness in doing so!
REASONABLE. Those who have determined to live by GOD’s standards have found that they are indeed, reasonable. Our loving GOD does not ask more of us than we can offer. He requires our best effort to obey Him, aiming for a good target of righteousness, or HIS right standards. Our occasional, unintended misses, may then be forgiven on the basis of Christ’s ransom sacrifice. Notice Moses’ words to the people regarding the reasonableness of GOD’s requirements for them: “11 “Now this commandment that I am commanding you today is not too difficult for you, nor is it beyond your reach. 12 It is not in the heavens, so that you have to say, ‘Who will ascend to the heavens and get it for us, so that we may hear it and observe it?’ 13 Nor is it on the other side of the sea, so that you have to say, ‘Who will cross over to the other side of the sea and get it for us, so that we may hear it and observe it?’ 14 For the word is very near you, in your own mouth and in your own heart, so that you may do it.” And Christians are likewise commanded, at Philippians 4:5, “5 Let your reasonableness become known to all men. The Lord is near.” Thus GOD wants many to see that true Christians who live GOD’s way are living proof of HIS reasonable standards.
RELIABLE AND REWARDING. JEHOVAH GOD wants all to recognize that HE, as man’s CREATOR, understands us like no other, and that we can TRUST HIS instructions and guidance is truly for our long-term happiness and benefit. Proverbs 3:5-8 thus exhorts: “ 5 Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, And do not rely on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways take notice of him, And he will make your paths straight. 7 Do not become wise in your own eyes. Fear Jehovah and turn away from bad. 8 It will be a healing to your body And refreshment for your bones.” Thus living by GOD’s standards promotes health and refreshing happiness! Notice the description of GOD’s law found at Psalm 19:7-11: “7 The law of Jehovah is perfect, restoring strength. The reminder of Jehovah is trustworthy, making the inexperienced one wise. 8 The orders from Jehovah are righteous, causing the heart to rejoice; The commandment of Jehovah is clean, [“enlightening the eyes”, AMP]. 9 The fear of Jehovah is pure, lasting forever. The judgments of Jehovah are true, altogether righteous.10 They are more desirable than gold, Than much fine gold, And sweeter than honey, the honey that drips from the combs.11 By them your servant has been warned; In keeping them, there is a large reward.” The faith, or deep trust, in GOD mentioned earlier is indeed necessary to please HIM, and notice this aspect, at Hebrews 11:6: “6 Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please God well, for whoever approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him.” Thus, GOD is eager to reward and bless HIS faithful people. May we find the blessing of GOD on our activities, as we seek to know HIS right way of doing things, that we may be successful, acting in harmony with GOD’s loving will and purpose. Proverbs 10:22 says: “22 It is the blessing of Jehovah that makes one rich, And He adds no pain with it.”
CONCLUSION:
MAY JEHOVAH, THE GOD OF LOYAL LOVE, PREVAIL THROUGH CHRIST! Will not GOD ensure we can understand the truth of HIS word, in a way allowing for cooperation and unity regarding HIS purposes for mankind and this planet? Is HE not the worthy one to look to for guidance, being our Creator giving us "life and breath and all things?" He also holds the lives of our loved ones and ancestors of the past in HIS hands. GOD's right as Universal Sovereign has already been challenged by enemies for some thousands of years, but as Creator, with proven love, is HE not the One with primary right to govern HIS creation, with love, compassion, and the protection of peace-loving lives earth-wide? As Revelation 4:11 states: "You are worthy, Jehovah, even our GOD, to receive the glory, and the honor, and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created." May we place full trust and confidence in our Creator to know what is best for mankind, and to use HIS great power to protect innocent ones and our ancestors, such as Abraham, whom GOD called "my friend." (Isaiah 41:8). GOD longs to restore them to life--let GOD prevail according to HIS right to govern us with such love and fairness!
_______
COME TO CONSENSUS CORNER
SUBJECT: FIFTEENAGERS BECOMING RESPONSIBLE!
Revelation 21:5: "And the One seated on the throne said: “Look! I am making all things new.” Also he says: “Write, for these words are faithful and true.”
Philippians 1:9-11: "And this is what I continue praying, that your love may abound still more and more with accurate knowledge and full discernment; 10 that you may make sure of the more important things , so that you may be flawless and not stumbling others up to the day of Christ; 11 and that you may be filled with righteous fruit , which is through Jesus Christ, to God’s glory and praise."
RESPONSIBLE LIVING. There comes a time in the course of a teenager working toward adulthood with its many blessings and privileges before Jehovah God that a major step must be taken to assist the acquiring of a more thorough sense of responsibility that is essential to becoming truly prepared to face life as a genuine man or woman. Some serious steps must be taken, with full faith and trust in God, in order to be ready to properly handle such things as qualifying for and finding work to support oneself and eventually one's wife and family, proving that one can maintain living responsibly on one's own, trusting God, and becoming prepared for driving safely and responsibly. How can this be achieved in a way that allows both parents and their growing children to remain close while eventually being a bit further apart than a tent in the backyard?
FIRST THINGS FIRST. At 15, youths are nearing the time for learning to operate a motor vehicle responsibly, and they certainly want to do so in a way that will not endanger the lives of others! Surely under God’s Kingdom, there must be a way that they can develop a proper sense of responsibility while maintaining or even growing the close bond they have with their godly parents and family members. It will be entirely advantageous if these youths find suitable employment during the summer prior to their initial high school year, to enable saving up for the expenses of the new dwelling at the start of the coming school year. Such youths, who prove themselves willing to demonstrate genuine reverence for Jehovah God, could demonstrate to others that an arrangement for living with a same-gender friend approved by the parents of both individuals, in an apartment located not far from home, elsewhere in the same city or nearby town or well-established community, could improve the ability of such young ones to acquire this proper responsible quality. Having been students of God’s word, and supporters of the true worship of Jehovah along with others in the community, such as among one of several Protestant Christian denominations, they could with parental guidance and assistance, locate a peaceful dwelling that may be considered a CLEAN, HOLY EXTENSION OF EACH ONE'S PARENTAL HOME. Under such conditions, they may each continue their school and personal study habits, perhaps even with less distraction as may be found elsewhere. Their love for the inspired word of God should be a hallmark of such a place, as it will be vital to maintain each one’s personal relationship with Jehovah and the purity and sanctity of the new environment.
AGREEMENTS AND OBLIGATIONS.
Of course, such a dwelling will usually require some agreement with the owner or landlord of the apartment. It is strongly recommended that a 2-year lease term be established, preferably during the summer working season, before the selected or assigned high school year for this dwelling, with provision in extreme circumstances to return home after 1-year. The students themselves, as they take on this responsibility, could certainly have parental assistance to determine how best to suitably pay for any associated expenses. In this initial year, the parents may certainly help guide their youths as needed to acquire the necessary services for the dwelling, and these two students together may use inexpensive public transportation to acquire needs or meet parents or approved godly associates for an occasional meal, or to transport to their job location. Altogether, the process of acquiring work, the handling of assigned duties there, acquiring and practicing other skills needed to live responsibly, such as delightful cooking and thorough cleaning, organizing and tidiness, and the insight gained in the extension of home by what may be studied in preparation for life's privileges, all can contribute greatly to acquiring the sense of responsibility vital for life in the new world. Certainly these more youthful ones need quality neighborhoods to dwell in at this particular time in their growth.
OTHER HELPFUL STUDIES.
Regarding what is to be studied in this godly setting, there are several beneficial matters worthy of consideration. First and foremost in one's mind and heart should be a more thorough examination of God's word the Holy Bible, life's genuine instruction manual. In the life of these youths, it's law and wisdom have already proven to be a beneficial guide for them in many difficult situations, and they have likely come to see it's value in their course of activity. There is one provision that would be an excellent start to strengthening one's relationship with God and acquiring vital insight into the godly Christian personality that will prove to enable abundant peace to prevail in the new world of God's making: It is a publication produced by the worldwide congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses, entitled "Draw Close to Jehovah." This publication is available for download preferably in the app "JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES KINGDOM," a relatively new provision from this congregation, one of the Twelve Tribes of Christianity, as explained further in one of the primary established articles on this website ( TWELVE TRIBES
).
VITALLY IMPORTANT! The Scriptures help us see this matter in the proper light: With compassion, none of us wish to see another suffer a terrible disaster. Jesus understood this, but made a serious point, for the purpose of helping us strongly hate giving any consideration to tempting others to violate God's law: At Luke 17:1-4, NLT we read: "One day Jesus said to His disciples, "There will always be temptation to sin, but what sorrow awaits the person who does the tempting! 2 It would be better to be thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around your neck than to cause one of these little ones to fall into sin. 3 So watch yourselves! If another believer sins, rebuke that person; then if there is repentance, forgive. 4 Even if that person wrongs you seven times a day and each time turns again and asks forgiveness, you must forgive." Therefore, while we understand that God is merciful, we must not take that mercy for granted, but always strive to please God in what we do. Then God will ensure you have the advice you need to remain faithful. At Psalm 32:8 God says: "I will give you insight and instruct you in the way you should go. I will give advice with my eye upon you. 9 Do not become like a horse or mule, without understanding, whose spiritedness must be controlled with a bridle or a halter before it will come near to you." Ultimately, it is Jehovah God who can help a youth to prosper and assist one in eventually finding a suitable marriage partner that will make possible decade after decade of sharing life's joys together within the realm of God's Kingdom, with great love for our Creator, shown by obedience to Him (1John 5:3).
MORE 'INSIGHT AND INSTRUCTION.' Recall that the new dwelling is to be an extension of the parental home. As such, it is fine to look forward to much that can also be examined by reading and study. Why not, for instance, have some study material on improving your reading comprehension and perhaps even reading speed? This will certainly come in handy the more you study. Also, this would be a good time for giving attention to an overview of the inspired word of God, with helpful materials, as it instructs us in making good decisions in practically every area of life, and getting to know better the world at large, as God shows His care for all those who will repent and appreciate His love for them. There will be other beneficial matters you can enjoy considering in this new environment, that you can learn to maintain according to God's standards of orderliness and cleanliness.
