Hello,
with a warm welcome, wishing even greater warmth to those enduring in the 28th
of these United States. An unfortunate situation developed there, with an
unusual and unexpected freeze and snow event that caused selected blackouts and
widespread power outages in the state. No doubt officials there are working feverishly to restore power to every home to the extent possible, and when looking to God, ones are finding what they need to remain alive, neighbors helping neighbors time and again and in so many ways.
Many with power on in their home, were willing to help their neighbors to either have power or
It may be that newspapers in some areas weren't recycled in recent weeks, proving to be a source of warmth in fireplaces, etc. where they could be burned--perhaps each hour a new one could be used. Matches along with Coffee filters may have been realized to be good for starting and maintaining such fires. Once started, when the fire is nearly out, having a rolled-up coffee filter, possibly held with scotch tape, may have been found to burn well enough to allow the next paper to be started. With God's blessing, no doubt many other things were done to preserve precious lives, with many sacrifices being made.

Psalm 15:1-5

15 O Jehovah, who may be a guest in your tent? Who may reside in your holy mountain?
2 The one who is walking faultlessly, Practicing what is right And speaking the truth in his heart.
3 He does not slander with his tongue, He does nothing bad to his neighbor, And he does not defame his friends.
4 He rejects anyone who is contemptible ("a reprobate", NASB), But he honors those fearing Jehovah. He does not go back on his promise, even when it is bad for him.
5 He does not lend his money on interest, And he does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.
