WALK TO PLEASE GOD. 1Thessalonians 4:1-2 mentions how God provides instruction "on how you should walk in order to please God," and encourages us to "keep doing it more fully." 1Thessalonians 4:13-14 debunks the idea of an immortal soul (a popular Greek philosophy) in saying "we do not want you to be ignorant about those who are sleeping in death, so that you may not sorrow as the rest who have no hope. For if we have faith that Jesus/Jehosha died and rose again, so too God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep in death through [him]." Scripturally, it is the "spirit" of a person that can receive immortality upon one's resurrection to heavenly life, having been scourged by God in training for that special privilege (granted these "anointed" or "holy ones"). (HEBre 12:6; 1PEter 5:10; REVel 20:6; HEBre 6:10). For more detail on this subject, see the article "Finding Truth".

NOT IGNORING GOD'S GUIDANCE. James 4:4 shows we need to be cautious not to be merely pleasers of men, concerned only with what people think, ignoring God's guidance. James called some Christians "adulteresses" for seeking friendship at the time with an anti-God system under evil influence. James 4:4 says "Adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the ungodly system is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of [that] system is making himself an enemy of God." What a serious warning! Recall the bad report that 10 of the 12 spies of Israel came back with when sent to spy out the Promised Land. Only two faithfully trusted in Jehovoe, and gave a good report, Joshua and Caleb, seeking to encourage Israel to trust in Jehovoe to give them the victory over their enemies. Because all Israel failed to trust in Jehovoe, and accepted the faithless negative report of the 10, they couldn't enter the Promised Land themselves, and died in the Wilderness. The truth is not always the most popular view, although it can be and we hope it becomes so! Let's be determined to trust in Jehovoe and seek to do things His way, that we can all look forward to His many blessings, both now and everlastingly!

SOME INTRODUCTORY REMARKS TO THE CHRISTIAN COURSE

CHERISH THE "GOOD NEWS," GUARD ASSOCIATION. Galatians 1:6-8 encourages caution regarding our association. These verses show the Scriptures are what we should hold to regarding our faith, our trust and our belief system, not being persuaded by unrighteous ones: "I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from the One who called you with Christ’s undeserved kindness to another sort of good news. 7 Not that there is another good news; but there are certain ones who are causing you trouble and wanting to distort the good news about the Christ. 8 However, even if we or an angel out of heaven were to declare to you as good news something beyond the good news we declared to you, let him be accursed." May we continue to grow in our understanding of God's word of truth, trusting and clinging to God as our refuge in a world still at times promoting unrighteousness.

ADHERE TO WHAT IS PURE, ACQUIRE DISCERNMENT. Galatians 2:16 contains the inspired words of the apostle Paul, who said "that a man is declared upright, not by works of law, but only through faith in Jesus Christ." Our faith in Jesus and his ransom sacrifice, to allow true forgiveness for our sins, moves us out of appreciation to please God fully. Our faith and love for God and Christ move us to be obedient from the heart to their commands, but such obedience cannot "earn" us salvation--everlasting life is a gift from a loving God (ROMans 6:23). "The love of God means that we observe His commandments, but His commandments are not burdensome." (1John 5:3). However, we must not think that obedience to one command will compensate for our disobedience to another. We must strive never to violate what is holy, in disobedience (JAMes 2:10-13). Some practices can bar us from God's Kingdom (1COri 6:9,10). We should acquire discernment to see the difference between the more important matters of law, and lesser matters, though still required. In the healthy fear, or awe, of God, we should seek to hate all badness, while loving what is good, with foresighted prudence to see the consequences of both bad and good, and acting accordingly. (PSAlm 97:10; PROve 22:3) Our faith in God and Christ can thus grow with divine knowledge, as we consider God's word regularly. (MATth 4:4).

PRESS FORWARD IN SERVING GOD. Galatians 2:17-18 encourages us as ones turning to the truth of God, not to turn back to things we've left behind. The apostle Paul set an example in this regard, having been raised as a Pharisee with great prominence in Judaism, with prospects of easily being well-off materially and otherwise. However, upon learning the truth about Christ, he left a life of falsehood behind to pursue God's favor and the reward of eternal life promised by Him for one's faithful and loving course. (JAMes 1:12). We do not necessarily need to drop everything for the truth, but we should take a fresh look at our life and adjust or do away with anything detracting us from serving God faithfully. Paul referred to the "excelling value of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord," and considered his past pursuits as "a lot of refuse," that he may gain Christ. (PHiliP 3:8). True worship of Jehovoe through Christ opens our eyes to the truth, and as we grow in divine wisdom, we are better able to assess what is truly important in life and adjust our life accordingly. (PHiliP 1:10). We should turn to God in prayer before making any rash decisions, however. Look to God for guidance and direction, as we 'let our reasonableness become known to all men.' (PHiliP 4:5). God will nevertheless bless us for any sacrifice we make for the sake of His name and purpose, that enables us to move forward in serving God, and not turn back to a sinful course in life. Galatians 2:17-18 reads this way: "Now if we have also been found sinners while seeking to be declared upright by means of Christ, is Christ then sin’s minister? Certainly not! 18 If the very things that I once tore down I build up again, I demonstrate that I am a transgressor." Paul added in verse 20: "Indeed, the life that I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and handed himself over for me." May we appreciate the loving, selfless spirit Christ displayed during an earthly life course, seeking the everlasting happiness of all willing humans, as described in the Holy Scriptures, and seek to follow this example. (1PETer 2:21).

FURTHER CAUTIONS FOR CHRISTIANS

WHO HINDERED YOU? Galatians 5:7-10 reveals how easy it could be for one to persuade us away from the truth, if we're not careful. This was happening to the Galatians, as the apostle Paul reveals in these verses: "7 You were running well. Who hindered you from continuing to obey the truth? 8 This sort of persuasion does not come from the One calling you. 9 A little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough. 10 I am confident that you who are in union with the Lord will not come to think otherwise; but the one who is causing you trouble, whoever he may be, will receive the judgement he deserves." We must be careful to uphold the truth of God, again, letting God's word always trump the ideas of man (ROMans 3:4). Be alert to the misleading use of lies and half-truths, and other speech designed to confuse others for selfish purposes, be they for wealth or power, for material or other gain. May any such troublemakers repent of their errors, while God may show them mercy. (ISAiah 55:6-7).

DOING YOUR BEST. Galatians 6:4,7-8 highlight some important concepts for finding genuine peace in life and being protected from spiritual harm and corruption. Verse 4 highlights the value of avoiding an unhealthy competitive spirit, comparing ourselves with others, often causing either excessive pride on the one hand, or self-defeating discouragement on the other. Such a spirit works against true love. How much better to focus on your own work, seeking to continually improve by the week, month and year! Verse 4 puts it this way: "But let each one examine his own actions, and then he will have cause for rejoicing in regard to himself alone, and not in comparison with the other person." By doing this, we can avoid harmful jealousy, with its detrimental effects on relationships.

MAKING SPIRITUAL MATTERS PRIMARY. Verses 7-8 provide a further important caution against spiritual harm, realizing however that God says this to protect us from danger: "Do not be misled: God is not one to be mocked. For whatever a person is sowing, this he will also reap; 8 because the one sowing with a view to his flesh will reap corruption from his flesh, but the one sowing with a view to the spirit will reap everlasting life from the spirit." If we sow poison ivy, we will not reap grapes, will we? We should sow with a view to spiritual things, seeking God's pleasure as we live in harmony with His will. He wants us to enjoy life, we just need to do so in harmony with His standards, which promote true happiness. Seeking pleasures without regard for God results in troubles, pain, and grief in the end. Doing things God's way leads to eternal blessings, even with a loyal marriage partner. We need to see things from God's standpoint, as His word enlightens us and brings us true wisdom. Regarding this, His word says "All other desirable things cannot compare to it." Godly wisdom brings delight as we practice it, and brings greater purpose and joy to the other pleasures in life, given by God, the giver of every good gift and perfect present. (JAMes 1:17).

GOOD NEWS FOR SOCIETY'S "DEAD"

1Peter 4:6 says "In fact, this is why the good news was declared also to the dead, so that although they are judged in the flesh from the standpoint of men, they might live in harmony with the spirit from God’s standpoint." The "dead" here are those FIGURATIVELY dead, or those "dead to the world," likely those judged or condemned as criminals who, for instance, have not yet come into a good, upright standing with Jehovoe. May we do what we reasonably can to assist such ones to be aware of the hope of the good news of God, exercising faith in Christ's ransom provision, that they may be motivated to pursue to live by God's right standards, looking forward to eternal life by God's kindness.

LOVE GOD'S WORD!

Recall that the Bible is not just one big book, but rather many smaller ones. The book of James, for instance, five chapters, offers this advice:

"If any of you is lacking in wisdom, let him keep asking God, who gives generously to all and without reproaching, and it will be given him."

Make use of my website, podcast, and even the small books or letters in the Bible, and such passages as the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7), to strengthen your love of God's word!

CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER SELECTIONS

AMONG THE "MORE IMPORTANT THINGS":

PROTECTING PEACE

VITAL QUALITIES FOR TRUE PEACE. Ephesians 4 contains much to contemplate, beginning with encouragement to "walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all humility and mildness, with patience [or, loyalty], putting up with one another in love, 3 earnestly endeavoring to maintain the oneness of the spirit in the uniting bond of peace." These qualities are vital to preserving the peaceful, loving spirit of the congregation of God. We need to have a humble view in dealing with one another, 'considering others superior to us,' refusing contentiousness or a fighting spirit with others whom we should be loving, doing nothing out of egotism, or arrogance, appreciating the good in others, most having qualities we could improve in. (PHiliP 2:3). We should also deal with one another with a gentle, mild manner, sensitive to their feelings. Loyalty should also be shown, as we remain first and foremost loyal to God, showing loyalty to others by helping them become loyal to God themselves. Being peaceable, or a peacemaker, on the basis of love, seeking to forgive others freely, seeking peace especially with fellow Christians, is also vital to maintaining our Christian unity. Ephesians 4:25-26 (NIV) says "Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body. 'In your anger do not sin.' Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry"--thus try to be quick to restore peace, especially with fellow believers. And Romans 12:18 says "If possible, as far as it depends on you, be peaceable with all men." May we strive after such qualities and enjoy the blessings associated with such obedience to God.

CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER SELECTIONS

AMONG THE "MORE IMPORTANT THINGS":

PROTECTING PURITY, REJECTING BADNESS

TREASURE PURITY OF HEART, USE CLEAN SPEECH. Ephesians 5:3 offers this encouragement regarding our choice of speech: "Let immoral conduct and every sort of uncleanness or greediness not even be mentioned among you, just as is proper for holy people." By what we talk about, we can influence others, for good, or for bad. Continue giving consideration to God's word, the wisdom of Proverbs and Christ's teachings, including the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7, to comprehend the value of God's standards, that we may come to love what is right, and hate all badness, which has a negative effect on humanity, carrying on selfishness and other sin. May we grow in love for God for his abundant goodness toward humans, knowing what we all need to be truly happy and to live in peace amidst one another.

REJECT IMMORAL CONDUCT, GREEDINESS. Ephesians 5 reminds us, in verse 5, that we should not allow emotions from music or wrong thinking from TV shows or movies to affect our view of marriage or hinder true unselfish love in our hearts and obedience to the GOD who IS LOVE (1JOhn 4:8). Verse 5 says: "For you know this, recognizing it for yourselves, that no immoral person or unclean person or greedy person, which means being an idolater, has any inheritance in the Kingdom of the Christ and of God." Committing immorality, sexual conduct unapproved by God, with another person risks not only your eternal life in God's Kingdom with a loyal marriage partner, but the everlasting life of the other person as well. Is that showing true love??? Look to God to help you prepare for marriage and find a good partner! Let's work to protect, or safeguard, the lives of others, rather than being a threat to them. Rescue the upright, as Proverbs 11:9 states: "By his mouth the rebel brings his neighbor to ruin, But by knowledge the upright are rescued." May we lovingly uphold God's standards in life, treating others with respect, doing what contributes to their eternal happiness, God's way!

MOSAIC LAW SELECTION

CHRISTIAN STANDARD: PRINCIPLED LOVE TEACHES OTHERS ABOUT GOD COMPASSIONATELY, ESPECIALLY THOSE YOUNGER IN SPIRITUALITY.

Now let’s consider Exodus 23:19: “You are to bring the best of the first ripe fruits of your ground to the house of Jehovoe your God. “You must not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

SACRIFICES OF PRAISE. This isn’t the only time these two commands appear together—they are actually repeated at Exodus 34:26! What could they possibly have in common? Well, let’s start with the first one—the Israelites were to offer their best to Jehovoe in sacrifice, and in this case the best of the first ripe fruits—to be brought to Jehovoe’s house for sacrifice, and of use to the attending priests. Attending priests were to present them before Jehovoe, and this would be a way for Israelites to credit Jehovoe with all of the fruits harvested from the ground, and thanking Him for His blessing on their efforts. The priests would also benefit, as they had no ground to cultivate, and relied upon what was brought to them from other tribes of Israel. How do God’s people today benefit? What sacrifices do Christians present to Jehovoe God today? For one, we may offer sacrifices of praise to Jehovoe, by sharing Kingdom truth to others. Hebrews 13:15-16 mentions this and other sacrifices, in these words: “15 Through him [Jesus/Jehosha] let us always offer to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that make public declaration to his name. 16 Moreover, do not forget to do good and to share what you have with others, for God is well-pleased with such sacrifices.”

SPEAKING WITH COMPASSION. Thus the apostle Paul makes reference to the “fruit of our lips,” along with publicly declaring God’s name. In speaking about God to others, we therefore should not “boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.” What could this mean? As we share the Bible’s message with others, teaching them about God, should we not make sure we speak compassionately, especially with those “younger” in their spirituality, in their knowledge about God? The purpose of milk is to nourish the young—never should such elementary nourishment be turned toward harmful speech that crushes tender hearts! Especially should a young one’s own parents offer loving, tender encouragement toward them wherever possible. Thus Paul relates that he and his companions demonstrated sincere, compassionate motives in teaching those in Thessalonica, saying, at 1Thessalonians 2:5-8, “5 In fact, you know that we never used flattering speech or put on any false front with greedy motives; God is witness! 6 Nor have we been seeking glory from men, either from you or from others, though we could be an expensive burden as apostles of Christ. 7 On the contrary, we became gentle in your midst, as when a nursing mother tenderly cares for her own children. 8 So having tender affection for you, we were determined to impart to you, not only the good news of God but also our very selves, because you became so beloved to us.” May we likewise be sensitive to the needs and feelings of others, especially as they begin their walk with God, getting to know our loving Father and Life-giver, the God who is love, Jehovoe. (1JOhn 4:8). Acknowledging God’s hand in our “fruit of lips” may go a long way toward ensuring that our speech is used to His honor, truly benefitting our listeners.

____MLS[2]

MOSAIC LAW SELECTION

CHRISTIAN STANDARD: OFFERINGS MADE IN SUPPORT OF GOD'S KINGDOM AND ONE'S COMMUNITY ARE TO BE IN A SPIRIT OF PEACE, COOPERATION, AND GRATITUDE; ALSO LET PRAYERS REFLECT THANKFULNESS TO GOD.

"COMMUNITY OFFERING". Now let's consider further in Leviticus 7, verses 11-15, with more instruction regarding community offerings: “‘Now this is the law of the community offering that one may present to Jehovoe: 12 If he presents it as an expression of thanksgiving, he will present along with the thanksgiving offering unleavened ring-shaped loaves mixed with oil, unleavened wafers spread with oil, and ring-shaped loaves made with fine flour, well-mixed and blended with oil. 13 He will present his offering along with ring-shaped loaves of leavened bread and the thanksgiving offering of his community offering. 14 He is to present from it one of each offering as a sacred portion to Jehovoe; it will belong to the priest who sprinkles the blood of the community offering. 15 The flesh of the thanksgiving offering of his community offerings is to be eaten on the day he offers it. He must not save any of it until morning."

PEACE AND GRATITUDE. Recall the community offering (or "peace offering") was shared, both priest(s) and offerer taking the meal together. The community offering was "for Jehovoe", so the offerer certainly had to be in a clean condition before God, also associating this closely with a priest (LEVit 5:20; 19:5). The sharing of a meal with someone is scripturally indicative of at least relative peace with others, among spiritual brothers, peaceful unity (ACTs 2:42; 1COri 5:11). How fine in this case a "thanksgiving offering." Colossians 3:15 places peace and thanksgiving together in these words: "Also, let the peace of the Christ rule in your hearts, for you were called to that peace in one body. And show yourselves thankful." From a spirit of gratitude and thankfulness can come many fine things, and it was with such a spirit that even grain offerings were to be prepared as part of this offering. From such a spirit can come many spiritually edifying thoughts of appreciation and of godly encouragement.

PRAYER AND GRATITUDE. Another area where peace and thanksgiving are mentioned together is regarding our prayers. Having a thankful spirit in prayer may be necessary to bring about genuine peace of mind and heart, from God. Philippians 4:6-7 says "Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus/Jehosha." Even being "stabilized in the faith" is associated with being thankful. Recall that "every good gift and perfect present is from above"--from our Father Jehovoe. How grateful we should be! May our faith and reliance on God continue to be made strong, as we are "overflowing with thanksgiving!" (COLos 2:7).

____MLS[3]

HIGHLY REGARD THINGS SACRED TO GOD!

VOW OFFERING. Now let's look further into Leviticus 7, with verses 16-18: "“‘If the sacrifice of his offering is a vow or a voluntary offering, it is to be eaten on the day he presents his sacrifice, and what is left of it may also be eaten on the next day. 17 But whatever is left of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day is to be burned with fire. 18 However, if any of the flesh of his community offering is eaten on the third day, the one presenting it will not be accepted with approval. It will not be credited to him; it is an offensive thing, and the person who eats some of it will answer for his error."

GOD'S VITAL/SACRED STANDARDS. You may recall that the community thanksgiving offering mentioned in the previous verses was to be eaten only on the same day that it was presented. This vow or voluntary offering, however, could also be eaten on the "next day." Anything left on the third day was to be "burned with fire." How serious was this command? Leviticus 19:7-8 explains further: "If, though, any of it is eaten on the third day, it is an offensive thing that will not be accepted with approval. 8 The one eating it will answer for his error because he has profaned a holy thing of Jehovoe, and that person must be cut off from his people." It was a deadly serious matter in Israel not to 'profane a holy thing of Jehovoe.' Sacred things to God, such as regard for the everlasting life prospects of all people, were not to be "profaned" or treated with contempt. For people to maintain their all-important relationship with God they needed to respect and appreciate His provisions for their own welfare and happiness. Satan and our first parents handed mankind sin and death--therefore, it is only by having faith in God's provisions, such as for true forgiveness of sin, that a right standing with God is once again possible, with prospects of eternal life. At Deuteronomy 30:19-20, Moses declared the seriousness to Israel of obeying God in these words: "...I have put life and death before you, the blessing and the curse; and you must choose life so that you may live, you and your descendants, 20 by loving Jehovoe your God, by listening to his voice, and by sticking to him, for he is your life and by him you will endure a long time in the land that Jehovoe swore to give to your forefathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”

GOD'S LAW THROUGH CHRIST. Now Israel had this Law to read, contemplate, and understand before offering these sacrifices in worship, so there was no reason to disregard the Law and mistakenly lose one's life--high regard for the holy things of Jehovoe was supported and encouraged, and regarding the priests, it is said: "7 For the lips of a priest should safeguard knowledge, and people should seek the law from his mouth, because he is the messenger of Jehovoe of armies." The priests should have therefore understood the Law, to also help ensure no violations of this sort would occur. Recall God's words to Israel, at Isaiah 48:17-18: "...“I, Jehovoe, am your God, The One teaching you to benefit yourself, The One guiding you in the way you should walk. 18 If only you would pay attention to my commandments! Then your peace would become just like a river And your righteousness like the waves of the sea." Such righteousness, or adherence to God's laws and standards, now through Christ, would serve as a protection and make possible genuine peace of mind and heart, and truly peaceful relationships with others. God illustrates the respect we should have for His laws, ways, and thoughts, in speaking to some not respecting Him, exalting their own ideas: "“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, And your ways are not my ways,” declares Jehovoe. 9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So my ways are higher than your ways And my thoughts than your thoughts." And "His commandments are not burdensome." (1John 5:3). Trusting in God's merciful assistance, may ones come to view God's lofty standards with the respect they deserve, though they are certainly within reach, and attainable, with God's help by His spirit, with faith in His reliable and powerful word, the Holy Bible, and His Son.

____MLS[4]

MOSAIC LAW SELECTION

CHRISTIAN STANDARD: TRUE CHRISTIANS HEED THE FIRST COMMANDMENT, GIVING JEHOVOE EXCLUSIVE DEVOTION, AND HELP OTHERS EXERCISE FAITH, ADHERING TO GOD'S STANDARDS REVEALED THROUGH CHRIST.

Now let’s consider Exodus 23:31-33: “31 “I will set your boundary from the Red Sea to the sea of the Phi·lisʹtines and from the wilderness to the River; for I will give the inhabitants of the land into your hand, and you will drive them out from before you. 32 You must not make a covenant with them or their gods. 33 They should not dwell in your land, so that they may not cause you to sin against me. If you should serve their gods, it would surely become a snare to you.”

PEACE-LOVING SERVANTS OF GOD. There were those inhabiting the Land of Promise in Israel’s day who were not revering Jehovoe in any respect, determined to worship false gods rather than acknowledge the moral standards of the Creator. But Jehovoe’s laws are for our benefit and happiness, and those adhering to them truly give evidence of this. Those serving Jehovoe are peace-loving individuals within all Christian tribes who delight in living life as God outlines in His word the Bible. How fine for those worshipping other gods to at least investigate for themselves the way of true Christianity, considering such things as the Sermon on the Mount found in God’s word the Holy Bible at Matthew 5-7, the Ten Commandments of Exodus 20, and perhaps Proverbs 1-10, together comprising perhaps half of all God requires of Christians! Such ones must also come to appreciate that obedience to God is not found through myriads of laws, but rather by exercising faith in God and in the ransom sacrifice of Christ for true forgiveness of sins, such faith in God’s mercy making possible adherence to God’s upright standards for everlasting life. Such knowledge may be found, for instance, in the Bible book of Romans, chapters 3-6. By considering just these various chapters from God’s word, may ones come to familiarize themselves with God’s wisdom as found therein, and see the value of looking further into the truth about God and Christ that leads true believers to eternal life. As Jesus/Jehosha stated in prayer, at John 17:3, “3 This means everlasting life, their coming to know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus/Jehosha Christ.”

NO PLEASURE IN LOSS OF LIFE. Whereas God is capable of driving away His enemies, it is God himself who has stated to Christians, as found at 2Peter 3:9, “Jehovoe is not slow concerning his promise, as some people consider slowness, but he is patient with you because he does not desire anyone to perish but desires all to attain to repentance.” And notice God’s words to His own people, Israel, at Ezekiel 33:11: “11 Tell them, ‘“As surely as I am alive,” declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovoe, “I take no pleasure in the death of the corrupt, but rather that someone corrupt changes his way and keeps living. Turn back, turn back from your bad ways, for why should you die, O house of Israel?”’” Certainly God feels the same way toward all his human creation, but ones must repentantly turn from evil practices, to pursue what is right by God, and avoid bringing themselves to ruin in corruption. The apostle Paul was mentioned as a foremost case of sinners, who although living by his conscience, was actually approving of the murder of Christians. (Acts 22:19-21) Upon realizing his error, however, he turned to true worship and zealously assisted many to rest their faith on God and Christ for eternal life. As he stated at 1Timothy 1:16, “16 Nevertheless, I was shown mercy so that by means of me as the foremost case, Christ Jesus/Jehosha might demonstrate all his patience, making me an example to those who are going to rest their faith on him for everlasting life.” May all right-hearted ones of mankind learn more about life’s Creator, and gain the hope of eternal life in true peace and happiness. May such ones heed the counsel of Acts 3:19: “Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get your sins blotted out, so that seasons of refreshing may come from Jehovoe himself.”

TRUST GOD, DELIGHT IN REWARDS OF OBEDIENCE. Thus may true Christians hold firmly to the true worship of Jehovoe, as God prepares the way to a Paradise earth under the rulership of God’s kingdom. By keeping integrity, refusing to fall to idolatry or worship of any false gods, may our eyes remain open and clear sighted to the folly of false worship, and be in position to protect our loved ones, our family perhaps both fleshly and spiritual, to safeguard their relationship with God, and find the rewards of obedience to God and His son. May we maintain our faith in God, as Hebrews 11:6 declares: “6 Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please God well, for whoever approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those zealously seeking him.” What a fine reward God is extending to all mankind—may we be ever appreciative of God’s loving will and purpose for humans—not rushing ahead of God, but patiently finding joy in doing the delightful will of Jehovoe, according to His timetable!

MOSAIC LAW SELECTION

OFFERING OUR BEST

Now let's examine Leviticus 7, verses 22-25: "And Jehovoe continued to speak to Moses, saying: 23 “Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, ‘YOU must not eat any fat of a bull or a young ram or a goat. 24 Now the fat of a body [already] dead and the fat of an animal torn to pieces may be used for anything else conceivable, but YOU must not eat it at all. 25 For anyone eating fat from the beast from which he presents it as an offering made by fire to Jehovoe, the soul that eats must be cut off from his people."

SIGNIFICANCE OF OFFERING FAT. Recall that Christ did not come to "destroy the Law or the Prophets," but came to "fulfill" them--not in a way that ends their import. Rather, the Law is now fulfilled in a Christian way, such as in the figurative meaning of animal sacrifices. This is evidently the case as well with the law regarding fat. Of course, we find no prohibition against the fatty cream in the milk of these creatures. However the body fat, while yet being so regarded, seems to have represented the best of the creature, which belonged to Jehovoe--therefore all of the fatty appendages were consumed on the altar of sacrifice. This was a reminder to Israel, and also one to Christians, that our best always should belong to Jehovoe, and what we do for Him should be whole-souled. (EXOdus 23:19a; COLos 4:5; 3:23-24). When things are right, we will find delight in contributing to God's loving will in various ways, and enjoying life as He has purposed for all! Still, we should not aim in life only to give Jehovoe our leftovers, after we've exhausted ourselves in recreation or the like. Work, also, is a necessary obligation before God to care for ourselves and our families--as such we are to carry it out "whole-souled, as to Jehovoe and not to men." All of these things may require energy and effort, but we should not be so exhausted that we have no real energy or motivation left for satisfying our spiritual needs, and rightly others. Rather, when we put Jehovoe first in life, everything else often seems to fall into place--we seem to get more accomplished, with God's spirit upon us for our giving Him priority. (PROve 3:9-10). Let us look for ways in our life to put God first, loving God and our neighbor as oneself, and seek His blessing on our entire life course, on into eternity!

MOSAIC LAW SELECTION

CHRISTIAN STANDARD: LOVERS OF GOD WILL TRUST HIS CHOICE OF LEADERSHIP TO GUIDE HIS PEOPLE TO NEW WORLD BLESSINGS.

There was a time when disgusting practices that God and His law condemns were being carried on by very wayward people, with no inclination to change. At that time, literal wars needed to take place. Since the time of Christ, however, things may be viewed differently! The bad inclinations of a person may "die" or be eliminated, a person coming to life spiritually! So some may continue outside of the blessings of Christian governance, only as a discipline to "wake up" to the beautiful world God is making possible through His Son and Christian teachings. Such ones, correcting their steps, could then be restored to spiritual life within God's arrangement! ANY FUTURE JUDGEMENT BY GOD IS ACCORDING TO HIS MERCIFUL STANDARDS AND MAY NOT EVEN BE NECESSARY! It is with this understanding that God's words to ancient Israel should be considered. Now let’s consider God’s next words to His people, at Exodus 23:20-26: “20 “I am sending an angel ahead of you to guard you on the way and to bring you into the place that I have prepared. 21 Pay attention to him, and obey his voice. Do not rebel against him, for he will not ignore your transgressions, because my name is in him. 22 However, if you strictly obey his voice and do all that I say, I will show hostility to your enemies and oppose those who oppose you. 23 For my angel will go ahead of you and will bring you to the Amʹor·ites, the Hitʹtites, the Perʹiz·zites, the Caʹnaan·ites, the Hiʹvites, and the Jebʹu·sites, and I will bring them down. 24 You must not bow down to their gods or be persuaded to serve them, and you must not imitate their practices. Instead, you must demolish them and smash their sacred pillars. 25 You must serve Jehovoe your God, and he will bless your bread and your water. I will remove sickness from among you. 26 The women in your land will not suffer a miscarriage or be barren, and I will give you a full life span.”

GOD'S INTERVENTION. Surely the time is upon us for God to intervene in man’s affairs and guide mankind through His kingdom rulership to the Promised Paradise conditions on this planet. This will require utmost cooperation as we respond spiritually to His guidance, and work together to clean up the earth, our lovely home planet. God is not going to continue to put up with those “ruining the earth”—either spiritually or physically (REVela 11:18). Important changes will no doubt take place to promote spiritual healing. And at least at that time we will no doubt step up the pace and improve upon programs to eliminate pollution in our manufacturing facilities, to acceptable levels—we’re gaining the technology to allow for much cleaner ways to produce acceptable, and often recyclable, renewable or quite usable and reusable products. Many companies may be surprised at the technologies that are becoming available to accomplish such things, with God’s blessing, or that God himself may make available at that time!

ABANDONING RUINOUS FALSE WORSHIP. Also, may those opposing God humble themselves, that many may find His favor and abandon false worship causing spiritual ruin or harm to His human creation. Romans 1:18-23 puts it this way: “18 For God’s wrath is being revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who are suppressing the truth in an unrighteous way, 19 because what may be known about God is clearly evident among them, for God made it clear to them. 20 For his invisible qualities are clearly seen from the world’s creation onward, because they are perceived by the things made, even his eternal power and Godship, so that they are inexcusable. 21 For although they knew God, they did not glorify him as God nor did they thank him, but they became empty-headed in their reasonings and their senseless hearts became darkened. 22 Although claiming they were wise, they became foolish 23 and turned the glory of the incorruptible God into something like the image of corruptible man and birds and four-footed creatures and reptiles.” Therefore, may we help one another be loyal to our true God, Jehovoe, and reject the lies that cause others to engage in false worship. As Proverbs 10:22 reminds us: “22 It is the blessing of Jehovoe that makes one rich, And He adds no pain with it.”

TRUST IN JEHOVOE, SEEKING HIS WILL. What rewards are in store for those trusting in Jehovoe, especially now, being willing to worship God exclusively, trusting in His leadership through His son, abandoning false worship and dishonest, unfair or unclean practices. No one is to threaten right-hearted lovers of God and truth, those who want to love one another in true peace and happiness. God will remove sickness from among such faithful ones, and usher in many blessings upon our land and our people. May we follow the words of Proverbs 3:5-8, when it says: “ 5 Trust in Jehovoe with all your heart, And do not depend on your own view of things. 6 Seek God's will in all you do, And he will straighten your ways. 7 Do not become wise in your own eyes. Revere Jehovoe and turn away from bad. 8 It will be a healing to your body And refreshment for your bones.” Once in a while, comparing another translation may add insight to the scripture being examined. Notice the same verses in NLT: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. 6 Seek His will in all you do, and He will show you which path to take. 7 Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom. Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil. 8 Then you will have healing for your body and strength for your bones.” Thus, ‘seeking God's will’ involves seeking His view of matters, what pleases Him, and will result in having His direction and guidance. Also, what is our wisdom compared to that of Jehovoe? Romans 11:33 puts it this way: “33 O the depth of God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How unsearchable his judgments are and beyond tracing out his ways are!” May we trust what God reveals is bad in His word, and turn away from it, finding true refreshment spiritually, in our overall well-being and peaceful dealings with others!

Also, Adding to Calendar Table below, and later the (4A) Psalm 119 Review Stanzas 5-8. Mistake was on Calendar table, you may have noticed in didn't yet add much more to what was done on Sunday, it was that the extra day Himzday was shown on month 2 rather than 3, because normally that day does fall around the end of March/beginning of April, but this year, because the calendars are already 31 days off, that day ends up being in early May instead, end of month 3 new calendar. It will all be corrected soon on this Calendar Table, and I apologize for any inconvenience. Let God help with any corrections that may be needed if some advanced, again they would be between that day April 08 and the day it should be, early May. Further explanation may be found below, with the updated explanation on 26:01.08. Added (4A) Psalm 119 Review of Stanzas 5-8. (26:01.09 Riz or y.109 or :1.9, o2/9/26 Mon 7:54 am EST) Hello, wishing all well! Added (3) Proverbs A, chapter 1 verses 20-23, PR-A(01.4) . (26:01.08 Fwn or y.108 or :1.08, o 2/8/26 Sun 6:27,34; 7:53,56; 8:12; 10:13 am; 2:37 pm EST) Hello, wishing all well! Working on some things, I may adjust the plan not to normally post on Sundays, or at least Righzdays, the start of the 8-day workweek the second week (after a 2-day weekend) which leads to/makes possible the following 4-day or so weekend, still with typically 5-day workweeks with a longer year of some 400-days, which is real and current, not just a possibility or something imagined. The 7-day calendar is now off the real calendar by some 31 days or so, but the weekdays are still close to lining up together, and plans could be made to incorporate or transition, although it's believed that scheduled times are best changed about a month or a month and a half out, rather than so many so soon. With that view, then it turns out that next month, actually March and Peasamake (2nd month 8-Day Cal.) would be the time the calendars once again line up or merge Mar 22 (Sunday and Sonaday) for an entire week or two, being a good time for transition. Events scheduled March 22 through the weekend March 28-29, could be lined up with mid-Peasamake the 17th through the 24th (recall every month on 8-Day is 4 weeks 1-8,9-16,17-24,25-32 plus 1-2 days 33 or 34 long), then the next week both workweeks line up, Righzday through Thunderzday or Thunzday, leading NOT in this case (4X per year) to the 6-day but rather to the normal end-of-month 5-day weekending break, the 4-days plus just Lunarday, the 33rd, after Fanday the 32nd of the month, with Sonaday, following as the 1st of the next month, Shuay, but also a normal day off like Sunday. The special 6-day breaks conclude months 3,5,9 and 11 (Thanksgiving weekend), and this year month 3, because the calendars are already off by some 31 days, is not some days after March but after April, into May. Update. UPDATED THE TABLE AT PAGE BOTTOM FOR NEW CALENDAR TRANSITION , More will be filled in, later today. [Originally the Calendar Table showed month 2, April 8 as a Himzday, one of the 34-day months occurring 4X per year. This was corrected later to month 3, there being over 30 days difference between the 7-day and 8-day calendars that month this year.] (26:01.06 Stz or y.106 or :1.06, o 2/6/26 Fri 7:41,58 am EST) Hello, wishing all well! Also working on updating an article on the New Calendar , as the actual new 400-day year is about the begin...Updated DATE Formats have been added to many systems, and recently another that many like, to be shared...UPDATED Persistent Article (PA) on this blogpost: SUM More Orderly Time--Introduction to the 8-Day Calendar Full Article itself found on blogpost 3, under Persistent Articles there. This SUM article reminds of Feb 1 as the FIRST DAY (Jemupluca 1) of the 400-Day CALENDAR THIS ACTUAL NEW YEAR, the 8-Day or 16-Day Calendar, now accepted by half the world. Thus 31 days now separate the two calendars, or the still-in-use 7-day calendar is currently 31 days OFF from the actual circuit around the sun, which has already begun to affect seasonal weather pattens by that much, and this difference will continue to expand throughout the year. (y.C02,oC31 Wed 6:55; 7:01,11,13; 9:26 am; 5:05 pm EST) Hello, wishing all well! Slight update to current (3) Proverbs A, PR-A(9.4). NOTE : While it is okay to celebrate this new year's eve, let's be even more excited about the New Year of the true 400-day calendar, which doesn't start anew for another month, actually Feb 1 of the former calendar still in use here. God has made a good way for us to transition, by considering January a 13th month, the 31 days completing the 33 days of the current 12th month (Loyalnes) on the 400- or 8-Day Calendar. You might review the blogpost 3 Persistent Article More Orderly Time...8 Day Calendar, with the more meaningful month and daynames, and the timing that God makes possible for the moon to again line up with our weeks and months! Regarding tonight, please pray about your attendance. In many places there are freezing temperatures, which should not be dismissed. Please dress warmly if you choose to attend, head to toe, which may include ears, scarf, and toes (warm, thicker socks made for cold weather). Warm boots may suffice. We could continue; A sweater or jacket with a warm lining beneath a warm coat; warm gloves just in case (some coats have warm pockets); something beneath or over pants can be important; hats may be more optional but consider ears, hoods and chances of precip. Also footwear in possibly slick conditions. This may be helpful at times this winter, extended times in near freezing temperatures. We also want people, God's children, out of freezing cold temperatures overnight (normally), efforts are being put forth to help people do this without obligation, please cooperate with local shelters and trusted organizations. NOW : Added (8B) NewsView, NV-B (B 803), regarding Economy and Tariffs . (y.C01,oC30 Tue 6:46,53; 9:00 am EST) Hello, wishing all well! Added (3) Proverbs A, chapter 9 verses 13-18, PR-A(9.4) . Added (3) Proverbs A, chapter 9, verses 7-9, PR-A(9.2) . Updates. (y.B25,oC21 Sun 8:16; 9:23,27,31 am EST) Hello, wishing all well! Added (2A) Psalm 67, A Plea for God's Blessing On Earth. I believe I had interference from talking up the holiday as Christ's Family Weekend on the website this year, although many still likely heard, for Dec 27th and 28th; there is strong reason for caution, due to God's blessing potentially being removed from Dec 25. Some prophecies were fulfilled in recent years, including one about Job's cursing of the day of his birth, which both was historically Dec 25 and whose life foreshadowed Christ in some ways, prophetically. When God's blessing is on a day, He has often protected people from danger; For years now Jesus above (AzGod) has been saving thousands of lives weekly traveling roadways for instance. It is acknowledged that this went so misunderstood this year, without realizing a completely acceptable alternative in Christ's Family Weekend, but God and Jesus Christ above still have made clear that safe travel cannot be guaranteed for Dec 25. Why not open some gifts on the evening of the 24th, and save the rest for Christ's Family Weekend, on the 27th and 28th, good days for traveling to family, etc. for the same. To the extent that we do such things, we will please both God and Christ, showing faith in their word. Be careful what you do on the 25th, seeking God's approval, and pray about the matter if there are already plans made on that day. (y.B24,oC20 Sat 6:08; 7:16; 8:55 am EST) Hello, wishing all well! New blogpost 1, with (3) Proverbs A, chapter 9, verses 1-6, PR-A(9.1) . Also, posted a new (2B) SongWeekly, SW-1 . Update.

I've worked on another article of interest which I aim to post/update before 10am or so. Also, some are familiar with my God's View of Celebrations article under the Misc. Heading, which I haven't updated for some time but helps with understanding God's balanced view of holidays, and that we should seek His view of matters. George Washington instituted Thanksgiving, which even has a correlation in God's word to a Harvest Festival required of God's people to commemorate each year! God certainly wants us to be thankful, at one time there was more confusion regarding the caution Jesus gave about a "world" (Greek "cosmos"), which had to do with a corrupt version of worship, essentially the "Babylon the Great" of Revelation. It is acceptable to God for us to have chosen important days to be holidays, we just need to respect His view of matters. I aim to review that Celebrations article sometime in the near future, and post an update. POSTED the First Portion of the Persistent Article (PA) GA, " 1A) Sum More Orderly Time (8-Day Calendar) " ! Also note yesterday's post of (8A) Come to Consensus Corner, Avoid Driving Under the Influence . (Alcohol leaves the bloodstream over time. So to avoid driving under the influence means that IF alcohol is consumed, then it should still not be strong enough when driving begins to be substantially influencing your driving actions, reactions, etc. Largely, and in terms of law, the BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) limit is the determining factor, and this can be fairly accounted for by considering beverages consumed and time spent following their consumption.) Added (1A) Golden Apples, Low Water Response/Conservation . ALSO, added (5) Eternal Express, Comprehend God's Love in Christ . ADDED , to (1A) Golden Apples, How the Kingdom of God Relates to the (Proper) U.S. (Democratic) Constitutional Republic NOTE on (y.A16,oB09Sun): Asking for continued prayers for God's continued blessing on our seeking His will, on humbly acknowledging His hand on having made our nation great in the past, with His blessing on the Founders and Spirit-inspired documents, together comprising another holy book or collection, founding our government as it should be, although we've needed His help to apply it properly and see the God-blessed results with better unity, harmony, and cooperation, some of which was in evidence or growing for a time last year, 2024. Some wondered if our entire form of government needed to be thrown out, but this was not the case--God's blessing is not upon such an effort, and it actually threatens our Having His blessing on our nation to be His means of blessing all others! Our history reveals the progress toward peace that was in evidence over many decades, and God's blessing through His Kingdom on our efforts to respect the Democratic Constitutional Republic that the Founders established as our true God-blessed government, that can again become still more cooperative and effective in seeking the good of our people and humanity. I intended to post earlier, ask for prayers again on things taking place as they rightly should, with God's blessing. Real effort to make things right, His way, will be blessed by Him and help get us back on track, or keep us on track for restored peace, the kind of peace former President Ronald Reagan and others did much to help move us toward by the hand of God or His Son above, Jesus Christ. We have been close to having this peace, and greater, worldwide, and many by God's spirit have been working together with me toward this, really all cooperating with God's will for a truly peaceful world! Still, may prayers continue that the true President of the United States, the true winner of the 2024 Presidential election, which was not Donald Trump, can become known as such, being blessed by God to be or become as this one should be and still can be, with at least gradual acknowledgement of the truth as it becomes more known or clear to the many truthlovers and supporters in our nation, our public, the world, our government, our news media, and so on.
