CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER HIGHLIGHTS
MAINTAIN FAITHFULNESS TO GOD, NEEDING HIS SUPPORT
LOOK TO GOD TO ENDURE TRIALS FAITHFULLY. James 1 opens with encouragement not to view our trials negatively. Remember that God will not let us be tempted beyond what we can bear, but makes the way out for us to be able to endure it. Normally, we can bear up under temptations and trials, looking to God for the way to do so faithfully (1Cor 10:13). So we can have a measure of happiness in our trials, trusting God for the strength and wisdom to endure faithfully, to cope with it until it has passed. This view allows us to grow in endurance, a vital quality en route to the gaining of true Christian love and adulthood. According to James 1:5, if we're lacking wisdom, keep asking God, for He gives generously to all. We need godly wisdom to cope with the many trials we may experience in this life. As Jesus said, "Keep asking and you will receive."
TRUSTING GOD, NEEDING HIS GUIDANCE. James 4:4 shows we need to be cautious not to be merely pleasers of men, concerned only with what people think, ignoring God's guidance. James called some Christians "adulteresses" for seeking friendship with the part of the world that's faith-deprived, affected by wrong thinking, largely those believing in no God. Congregations of true Christians, or even individuals, were not to align themselves with any corrupting practice, influence, or system. James 4:4 says "Adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever, therefore, wants to be a friend of the world is making himself an enemy of God." What a serious warning! Those ignoring the evidence of God's love in His creative works are not only mistaken, but missing the benefits of His law for themselves and others. Drawing close to those who refuse to consider such evidence can corrupt our thinking, lead to serious sin, and will not have God's blessing, although we may still lovingly seek to encourage such ones to consider changing their view. As Paul illustrated at Hebrews 3:4: "Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God." FAITH ESSENTIAL FOR GOD'S BLESSING. They are missing the essential faith, or deep trust, in God and His Son that is vital to pleasing God and receiving His blessing and approval. As Hebrews 11:6 says, "Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please God well, for whoever approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him." Recall the bad report that 10 of the 12 spies of Israel came back with when sent to spy out the Promised Land. Only two faithfully trusted in Jehovoe, and gave a good report, Joshua and Caleb, seeking to encourage Israel to trust in Jehovoe to give them the victory over their enemies. Because all Israel largely failed to trust in Jehovoe, and accepted the faithless negative report of the 10, they lost out on entrance into the Promised Land, and, after some 40 years, died in the Wilderness. We have these lessons now to learn from, as Joshua and Caleb did enter the Promised Land afterward. The truth is not always the most popular view, although it can be and we hope it becomes so! Let's be determined to trust in Jehovoe and do things His way, that we can look forward to His many blessings, both now and everlastingly.
LOYALLY ENDURE TRIALS, HOPING IN GOD. James 5:10-11 says "Brothers, take as a pattern of the suffering of evil and the exercising of patience the prophets who spoke in the name of Jehovoe. 11 Look! We consider happy those who have endured. You have heard of the endurance of Job and have seen the outcome Jehovoe gave, that Jehovoe is very tender in affection and merciful."
Thus we may have to suffer evil at times, enduring hurtful speech from unkind or disobedient ones, but if we maintain self-control, our mild gentle responses may quiet such things, and be blessed by God. We want to maintain love in our hearts, for God and all others. May we endure our trials faithfully, trusting in God's favor and the joy set before us, just as Jesus or Jehosha, God's firstborn Son, whose death ransomed mankind, endured faithfully by hoping in the joy "set before HIM" to be and remain the one chosen by God to rule God's Kingdom, and restore humans to spiritual completeness, true peace and happiness, and eternal life! Hebrews 12:2 says: "as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus/Jehosha. For the joy that was set before him he endured [impalement], despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God."

CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER HIGHLIGHTS
COMPREHEND GOD'S LOVE IN CHRIST, TREASURING GODLY VIRTUES
PREPARING FOR GOD'S NEW WORLD. 1Peter 1 describes the salvation for a limited number, which Christ's resurrection gave example of, being raised to "heavenly" life, to rule with Christ. Ones with this hope have been especially "distressed by various trials, in order that the tested quality of [their] faith, of much greater value than gold that perishes despite its being tested by fire, may be found a cause for praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ." Of course, those with hopes of an earthly Paradise also need such refining of faith, and may rejoice as well as they meet tests faithfully, with integrity to God. How the anointed followers of Christ on earth, to serve as kings and priests, rejoice at seeing such ones remain obedient to God under test! Such faithful ones may enjoy precious privileges of service to God in his coming new world, while all may certainly enjoy learning and educating others in true Christian living. There will be the final test that all will need to be prepared to face faithfully, loyally to God. May we bolster our faith now, that we may assist others to have strong faith in God through the end of the "old" system, on into the new.
COMPREHEND LOVE OF GOD AND CHRIST. 1Peter 2:1-3 exhorts all: "1 So rid yourselves of all badness and deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all backbiting. 2 As newborn infants, form a longing for the unadulterated milk of the word, so that by means of it you may grow to salvation, 3 provided you have tasted that the Lord is kind." Therefore, all should experience the kindness of God and Jesus, this loyal love for mankind, including for each person and their loved ones individually, that all may come to comprehend this love and gain such a proper heart motive personally, inclined to unselfish love, wisdom and righteousness. Any who do not have this view of both should pray for this earnestly and urgently. Thus may all grow to love the word of God and His inspiring promises, including those regarding an everlasting satisfying future, that each may learn at first the basics of true Christianity, "the unadulterated milk of the word," providing the basis for continued spiritual growth to Christian soundness, or maturity, and genuine peace and happiness.
WHOLESOME REGARD FOR JEHOVOE. As regards the family, while husbands are to love their wives as they do themselves, 1Peter 3 reminds godly wives to "be in subjection to your husbands, so that if any are not obedient to the word, they may be won without a word through the conduct of their wives, 2 because of having been eyewitnesses of your chaste conduct together with deep respect." Such qualities are treasured by most men, and may move some to have more love and fear of God. The true fear of God is a reverential respect for Him, fearing to displease Him in any way, refusing to hurt Him, out of love for Him and regard for His feelings. For a time the Israelites failed in this, as explained in Psalm 78:40,41: "How often they rebelled against him in the wilderness And made him feel hurt in the desert! 41 Again and again they put God to the test, And they grieved the Holy One of Israel." May we appreciate, and not take for granted, the love of our God! Romans 8:38-39 says of such love: "For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
QUALITIES OF THE HEART. 1Peter 3:3-6 helps us focus on the inner person—the lovely qualities of the heart that make life worth living and make friendships far more meaningful and delightful. How much more important to be beautiful spiritually, while we may still modestly value physical beauty. Notice Peter’s inspired words:
“3 Do not let your adornment be external—the braiding of hair and the wearing of gold ornaments or fine clothing—4 but let it be the secret person of the heart in the incorruptible adornment of the quiet and mild spirit, which is of great value in the eyes of God. 5 For this is how the holy women of the past who hoped in God used to adorn themselves, subjecting themselves to their husbands, 6 just as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord. And you have become her children, provided you continue doing good and do not give in to fear.”
TREASURE SPIRITUAL QUALITIES. Thus it takes courage to “continue doing good” and focusing on spiritual beauty with obedience to God. May we ever appreciate the “quiet and mild spirit” of great value in God’s eyes. Such a spirit involves humility, self-control, and mild gentleness manifested throughout each day—not just at certain times, such as when one is becoming irritated. These qualities should flow from us constantly, forming a vital foundation of the Christian new personality with faith in God and Christ. May we treasure spiritual qualities, no longer being a “physical man” oblivious to spirituality, or inner well-being and happiness. May we add loyalty and faithfulness, in harmony with true love, seeking the long-term best interests of others, including their eternal life before God.

CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER HIGHLIGHTS
TRUE CHRISTIANS RECOGNIZE CHRIST'S ROLE, HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THIS EXAMPLE, TEACHINGS, AND AUTHORITY AS KING.
CHRIST'S ROLE IN GOD'S PURPOSE. 1Peter 2:4-6 Once again, we find Peter writing to those anointed as kings to rule with Christ, but those with earthly Paradise hopes may find encouragement in his words as well. We may appreciate Christ’s role in God’s purpose, despite having been initially rejected by many, to form the foundation of a holy temple and priesthood, to assist humanity to a right relationship with God, to worship Him acceptably, with faith in Jesus. Notice Peter’s words:
“4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but chosen, precious to God, 5 you yourselves as living stones are being built up into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, in order to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 For it says in Scripture: “Look! I am laying in Zion a chosen stone, a precious foundation cornerstone, and no one exercising faith in it will ever be disappointed.””
CONFIDENCE IN SON OF GOD. Thus may we continue to place confidence in God’s Son, in Christian teachings, and the rest of God’s word, to lovingly assist us toward our goal of eternal life, in true happiness and peace, with a restored relationship with Jehovoe, a loyal marriage partner to share life with, and fine dealings with friends. What delight we may find in God’s eternal purpose, awaiting what lies ahead for humans that God may yet reveal!
GODLY OBEDIENCE VITAL. 1Peter 4:1-5 counsels those who would be true Christians to faithfully endure trials or suffering, setting an example in true loyal love for God and others, with integrity, hoping that others may respond in faith to a good example, finding the path of eternal life. Notice Peter's words:
"Since Christ suffered in the flesh, you too arm yourselves with the same mental disposition; because the person who has suffered in the flesh has desisted from sins, 2 so that he may live the remainder of his time in the flesh, no more for the desires of men, but for God’s will. 3 For the time that has passed by is sufficient for you to have done the will of the nations when you carried on in acts of brazen conduct, unbridled passions, overdrinking, wild parties, drinking bouts, and lawless idolatries. 4 They are puzzled that you do not continue running with them in the same decadent course of debauchery, so they speak abusively of you. 5 But these people will render an account to the one who is ready to judge those living and those dead."
Therefore, such abusive speech is not to long endure, and by responding kindly and gently, with Christian mildness, we may soften the hearts of others, or defuse any escalating anger or irritation they may have. (PROve 15:1). It is learning the ways of true peace through Christ, with genuine obedience to God, that will bring eternal life and happiness to humans. If we truly love others, we will set the right example, showing with kindness that genuine happiness is really found within God's law, not without it. We need not weakly bow to practices that dishonor God. We should thus pray for courage, self-control, and true love and wisdom to deal with others appropriately. Remember, "It is the blessing of Jehovoe that makes one rich, and He adds no pain with it." (PROve 10:22). On another note, as clarified in Revelation and other Bible books, let God make sure that peace-loving, obedient humans are ultimately successful. Humans should primarily be learning the ways of true peace, with Christian mildness, rather than turning focus to hateful strife, and contentious war. (EPHes 4:1-3; GALat 5:20,22-23).
GOOD NEWS DECLARED TO THE DEAD. 1Peter 4:6 says "In fact, this is why the good news was declared also to the dead, so that although they are judged in the flesh from the standpoint of men, they might live in harmony with the spirit from God’s standpoint." The "dead" here are those FIGURATIVELY dead, or those "dead to the world," likely those judged or condemned as criminals who, for instance, have not yet come into a good, righteous standing with Jehovoe. Recall that God's own Son, Jesus Christ, was condemned by the world to death as a criminal, but God raised him, protecting his good name from total ruin. This had an original as well as a secondary fulfillment. May we do what we reasonably can to assist such ones to be aware of the hope of the good news of God, exercising faith in the ransom provision, that they may be motivated to pursue to live by God's right standards, looking forward to eternal life by God's kindness.

CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER HIGHLIGHTS
APPRECIATING BIBLE TRUTH, REPENTING, GROWING SPIRITUALLY
RECEIVE ACCURATE KNOWLEDGE. 2Peter 1:2-4 highlights "accurate knowledge," reminding us of the true unity that is possible if we humbly accept God's instruction and apply it in our personal lives. Peter is likely writing primarily to those with heavenly hopes, to share in "divine nature," but these words can encourage all to treasure devotion to God in a close, personal relationship with Him, as we grow in the accurate knowledge of God and His purpose involving Christ, to find peace in our lives by God's undeserved kindness, with precious promises of eternal life. These verses read: "2 May undeserved kindness and peace be increased to you by an accurate knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, 3 for his divine power has granted us all the things that contribute to life and godly devotion through the accurate knowledge of the One who called us by his own glory and virtue. 4 Through these things he has granted us the precious and very grand promises, so that through these you may become sharers in divine nature, having escaped from the world’s corruption produced by wrong desire." God's word instructs, at Galatians 5:16: "Keep walking by spirit and you will carry out no fleshly desire at all." May we turn away wrong desires, satisfying our right desires in harmony with God's love and reasonableness, as He can help us find all we need in life to be truly content and happy, including true friends and for most, eventually perhaps all, a loyal marriage partner, with an understanding of right standards to live by, peaceably with others. May we always treasure God's loyal love toward us by seeking to ever please Him, walking with Him toward eternal life, alongside as many as possible, as God "does not desire anyone to perish but desires all to attain to repentance." (2PEter 3:9).
SPIRITUAL GROWTH. 2Peter 1:5-8 contains crucial steps to our spiritual development. Let’s remark as we go through each one. The foundation is our faith, or deep trust, primarily in Jehovoe God, His Son Jesus, God’s word, and Jesus’ ransom sacrifice. Having such, we would come to trust also in God's Kingdom to truly solve mankind's problems. Built on faith, other attributes are needed. The verses read as follows: “5 For this very reason, put forth all earnest effort to supply to your faith virtue (godly attributes such as purity of heart, and true hope), to your virtue knowledge (including knowledge of God’s law through Christ), 6 to your knowledge self-control (needed to obey God’s law), to your self-control endurance (to obey over time through trials), to your endurance godly devotion (close attachment to Jehovoe personally), 7 to your godly devotion brotherly affection (pure friendship with other God-fearing persons), to your brotherly affection love (unselfishness looking for best interests of all, in harmony with godly wisdom). 8 For if these things exist in you and overflow, they will prevent you from being either inactive or unfruitful regarding the accurate knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
EYES OPEN TO SCRIPTURAL TRUTH. 2Peter 1:9-11 refers to not shutting our eyes to the light, so that we do not lack the qualities mentioned in the previous verses, such as divine knowledge, self-control, and godly devotion. If we close our eyes to the light of Scriptural truth, we can be truly blind, not able to see dangers right in front of us. These verses read as follows: “9 For anyone lacking these things is blind, shutting his eyes to the light, and has become forgetful of his cleansing from his sins of long ago. 10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and choosing sure for yourselves, for if you keep on doing these things, you will by no means ever fail. 11 In fact, in this way you will be richly granted entrance into the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” As we learn to serve God properly, may we likewise encourage others to do so, assisting them, including our precious children, according to their ability, to make spiritual progress. Thus we will be reminded of the steps we took to grow spiritually, and that we should not forget or take for granted, but maintain our firm hold on our hope and faith in God and Jesus.
MOTIVATION TO REPENTANCE. Peter's words read this way: "Beloved ones, this is now the second letter I am writing you in which, as in my first one, I am stirring up your clear thinking faculties by way of a reminder, 2 that you should remember the sayings previously spoken by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and Savior through your apostles. 3 First of all know this, that in the last days ridiculers will come with their ridicule, proceeding according to their own desires 4 and saying: “Where is this promised presence of his? Why, from the day our forefathers fell asleep in death, all things are continuing exactly as they were from creation’s beginning.” Peter goes on to remind Christians that such ones "deliberately ignore this fact, that long ago there were heavens and an earth standing firmly out of water and in the midst of water by the word of God; 6 and that by those means the world of that time suffered destruction when it was flooded with water." Therefore, just as God judged an evil, violent world in Noah's day, so He stands ready to remove evil ones on a coming day of judgement, for the happiness of all who will love real peace and joy. (PROve 2:20-22). May ones yet unaware of God's wisdom repent of any such thoughts and activity, being remorseful over any disappointing and harmful conduct, that God may bless their sincere repentance, and help them find true happiness in life, even with a loyal marriage partner to share life with in the coming new world. May as many as possible appreciate God's mercy and love for his human family, and respond accordingly, seeking to please our loving God by careful obedience and adherence to His wise and loving standards.

CHRISTIAN SMALL LETTER HIGHLIGHTS
JESUS A FIRSTBORN SON AND THE WORD OF GOD, BRINGING LIFE AND FREEDOM FROM SIN
TRUE CHRISTIANS WILL RECOGNIZE JESUS AS TRULY A FIRSTBORN SON AND WORD OF GOD, WHOM GOD DID CAUSE TO BE BORN HUMAN, AND WHOSE EXAMPLE AND DEATH (WHETHER A LITERAL OR A FIGURATIVE ONE) MAKE POSSIBLE FREEDOM FROM SIN AND A ROYAL AUTHORITY BY GOD'S POWER BRINGING ENDLESS LIFE AND HAPPINESS.
1John 4:1, 4-8 says "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world...4 You originate with God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the one who is in union with you is greater than the one who is in union with the world [the system refusing to acknowledge God]. 5 They originate with the world; that is why they speak what originates with the world and the world listens to them. 6 We originate with God. Whoever comes to know God listens to us; whoever does not originate with God does not listen to us. By this we distinguish the inspired statement of truth from the inspired statement of error. 7 Beloved ones, let us continue loving one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been born from God and knows God. 8 Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love."
DISTINGUISHING TRUTH. The apostle John and other fellow Christians anointed for heavenly rulership originated with God, as did the Scriptural writings of John and the other apostles and Christian writers. (REVel 20:6; 1Timo 2:3-4) May we carefully examine especially Christian writings, as well as the entire word of God, to ascertain the truth of God to which we should cling, distinguishing truth from falsehood, discerning right from wrong by the teachings of Jesus and others in God's word. Many false ideas have proliferated, causing confusion and division among those who would be Christians today. But it is God's will that those who would be true Christians become united in our teachings and our beliefs, just as were the first-century early Christians. As Paul wrote to the Corinthians, at 1Corinithians 1:10, "Now I urge you, brothers, through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you should all speak in agreement and that there should be no divisions among you, but that you may be completely united in the same mind and in the same line of thought." The truth, in harmony with the love of God, can be found in the word of God. Let's continue to look there for spiritual nourishment!
TRUTH ABOUT JESUS. 1John 4:2-3,9-12 On coming to realize God's expression of love for the human family, we should know the truth about Jesus, as truly having been the "Son of God." John provides the touchstone to know a true inspired statement from a false one--largely based on whether it acknowledges Jesus as being a genuine son of God (His firstborn, made directly by God--COLos 1:15-18; REVel 1:4-5), who truly became a human, while God above in the heavens watched over his earthly life course, even resurrecting him after his death. Colossians 1:15-16 reads: "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation;16 because by means of him all other things were created in the heavens and on the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All other things have been created through him and for him." While the historical Jesus is indeed godlike, and has become AzGod, Much confusion over the idea of Jesus actually being God is over the wrongful use of the term "Lord" or "LORD" in place of God's personal name "Jehovoe." Many have learned that Jesus is Lord, and from a young age they may have heard God being called "Lord" as well. 1Corinthians 8:5-6 clarifies: "For even though there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, just as there are many “gods” and many “lords,”6 there is actually to us one God, the Father, from whom all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are and we through him." Unfortunately, to always replace the personal name of God with a title was based on both superstition and disagreement on the right name to use, having great meaning, which has undermined closeness to our loving God and Father, Jehovoe. How would you feel if no one ever called you by your first name, but always said "Man", or "Woman", "Boy", or "Girl" instead? The use of your personal name brings to mind your personality, specific details of the kind of person you are! So it is with Jehovoe! What marvelous qualities He has, and loyal deeds He has performed toward those close to Him, knowing His name! How fine if some of our most loved translations of the Bible one day correct this mistake, and actually put the name of "Jehovoe" where it rightly belongs in God's word! RESULTING PEACE AND LOVE. John's words here help to clarify the difference between Jesus and Jehovoe God. He clearly states that no man had seen God--it was truly His son who came "in the flesh," born as a human, and setting an example for humans as obedient servants of God. There was no hidden secret to be found in God's word to cause us to believe otherwise! Notice John's words: "2 This is how you know that the inspired statement is from God: Every inspired statement that acknowledges Jesus Christ as having come in the flesh originates with God. 3 But every inspired statement that does not acknowledge Jesus does not originate with God. Furthermore, this is the antichrist’s inspired statement that you have heard was coming, and now it is already in the world...9 By this the love of God was revealed in our case, that God sent his only-begotten Son into the world so that we might gain life through him. 10 The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins. 11 Beloved ones, if this is how God loved us, then we are also under obligation to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time. If we continue loving one another, God remains in us and his love is made perfect in us." Thus, as many acknowledge God's expression of love and mercy to each in sending His son to die, providing the ransom sacrifice to cover sins, making true love capable of becoming "perfect," or complete in the hearts of mankind, may all be moved to love God in return, and love one another, seeking peace with one another, spurning, or rejecting, hatred and anger toward others, being quick to settle disagreements and restore peace. A new world of peace and righteousness awaits all who are willing to live in such a way, and call upon the name of our loving Father, Jehovoe!

MOSAIC LAW HIGHLIGHTS
CHRISTIAN STANDARD: PRINCIPLED LOVE REFUSES ALL FORMS OF DISHONEST CORRUPTION, INCLUDING BRIBERY.
Let’s now consider Exodus 23:8: “8 “You must not accept a bribe, for the bribe blinds clear-sighted men and can distort the words of righteous men.”
HONEST INTEGRITY. The apostle Paul, remaining imprisoned by perhaps a greedy Felix, refused to sidestep the legal process with a bribe. (Acts 24:26-27). He stated, at Hebrews 13:18: “18 Keep praying for us, for we trust we have an honest conscience, as we wish to conduct ourselves honestly in all things.” Thus he was determined to maintain honest integrity, looking to Jehovoe to bless His efforts to do so, refusing to resort to any form of dishonesty, including bribery.
WHAT IS A BRIBE? Thus a bribe is a dishonest or unlawful use of money or favor given in order to influence the judgement or conduct of a person in a position of trust, who should be impartial, just, and law-abiding in executing his or her duties. And who, by the way, should remain motivated to do so out of unselfish love for God and neighbor, not for selfish gain.
PURE MOTIVES, LOOKING TO GOD, VITAL. When such pure motives are corrupted, righteous integrity can be lost, and the words of God fulfilled in saying “the bribe blinds clear-sighted men and can distort the words of righteous men.” Nothing should take the rightful first place God holds in our hearts, to love and obey Him foremost. Of course, God understands all matters of influence, but normally if money or any other thing commands our lives more than integrity to God, those influencing us and perhaps we ourselves have fallen to the sin of idolatry, as described in Psalm 115, and we could be worshipping flashy idols of silver or gold, the work of man’s hands, of persons or things, which may seem to have eyes, but cannot truly see, and seem to have ears, but that cannot hear, and may seem to speak, but really do not, at least not truthful speech of lasting value. Psalm 115:8-15 thus concludes: “8 The people who make them will become just like them, As will all those who trust in them. 9 O Israel, trust in Jehovoe —He is their help and their shield. 10 O house of Aaron, trust in Jehovoe —He is their help and their shield. 11 You who fear Jehovoe, trust in Jehovoe —He is their help and their shield. 12 Jehovoe remembers us and will bless; He will bless the house of Israel; He will bless the house of Aaron. 13 He will bless those who revere Jehovoe, The small as well as the great. 14 Jehovoe will give you an increase, To you and your children. 15 May you be blessed by Jehovoe, The Maker of heaven and earth.” Thus we have every reason to avoid all forms of dishonesty and corruption, including bribery. May we treasure having God’s blessing and spirit upon our activities day by day, looking forward to arising each day, endlessly, to love our Father, our marriage partner, and all others with integrity to God, peace, and true happiness!

CHRISTIAN STANDARD: PRINCIPLED LOVE IS NOT PARTIAL TO FLESHLY TRAITS, TREATING MEN MADE "IN GOD'S IMAGE" WITH DUE DIGNITY.
Now let’s consider Exodus 23:9: “9 “You must not oppress a foreign resident. You know how it feels to be a foreigner, because you were foreign residents in the land of Egypt.”
ISRAEL'S AFFLICTION. Certainly the Israelites knew “how it feels” to be a foreign resident in a mighty nation, as they had lived a life of harsh slavery in Egypt, after their forefathers moved there during a time of great famine, several centuries earlier. The Scriptures speak of the Israelites being afflicted by Egypt for 400 years, this period evidently beginning with Abraham’s son Ishmael (by his wife’s servant Hagar) “poking fun” at [or, “mocking”] Sarah’s son Isaac, Ishmael being part Egyptian. (Genes 21:9). Paul writes at Galatians 4:29 that “But just as then the one born through natural descent began persecuting the one born through spirit, so also now.” Isaac was “born through spirit” in that he was not born “through natural descent” since through God’s word of promise Sarah miraculously became pregnant at 90 years old, and it was this son that God foretold would become a “great and mighty nation” and in time produce the promised Seed, or Messiah. (Genes 18:18; 15:5). Through this son Abraham would “become a blessing” to many. (Genes 12:2). However, God promised Hagar that her son, Ishmael, would also become a great nation. (Genes 17:20). The 400 years of affliction would prove to end when Israel came out of the land of Egypt by God’s power, and became a nation itself. How fine to have become free of Egyptian dominance and oppression, and be allowed to worship the true God Jehovoe fully! God shortly thereafter assembled Israel at Mount Sinai to institute true worship as a nation in a special way, with the Mosaic Law covenant, between God and Israel. But they were to remember what it was like to be oppressed, and have compassion for foreign residents in their midst.
A CHRISTIAN PERIOD OF AFFLICTION. Likewise, Protestant Christianity, while standing up for Bible truth especially beginning about the time of Martin Luther’s bold stand, trying to reform the universal church, received persecution from the church and it’s world influence. Actually, three years prior to Luther’s writing his famous 95 theses, he began to receive some persecution despite being theology professor at Wittenberg University, as he also began to serve as priest at the city church in Wittenberg, in 1514. Many people in the city were not coming to him for confession anymore, as they were going to other towns to buy indulgences. This practice replaced confession and allowed people to “buy” their salvation--a truly unchristian practice. Earlier, Luther had discovered in the book of Romans that we are to receive justice, not through good works alone, but through faith in God’s grace. (Romans 1:17). Such beliefs ran counter to church teaching. There may be correlations between the persecution Israel received, and that of Protestant Christians for hundreds of years, before being more free to assemble for true worship. Nevertheless, they were to remember their persecution, and treat foreign residents with love and respect.

CHRISTIAN STANDARD: CHRISTIANS TO MAINTAIN DEEP TRUST IN GOD AND CHRIST FOR BOTH SALVATION AND FREEDOM FROM SIN, MAKING POSSIBLE GENUINE PEACE.
Now let's consider Exodus 23, verses 14,15: "“Three times a year you are to celebrate a festival to me. 15 You will observe the Festival of Unleavened Bread. You will eat unleavened bread for seven days, just as I have commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Aʹbib, for at that time you came out of Egypt. No one is to appear before me empty-handed."
FREEDOM FROM SIN ESSENTIAL. This was the first of three festivals Jehovoe required the Israelites to commemorate, the Festival of Unleavened Bread, or Unfermented Cakes. Earlier, God had commanded observance of this festival to Moses, at Exodus 12:14-20. Verse 15 stated: "Seven days you are to eat unleavened bread. Yes, on the first day you are to remove the sourdough from your houses, because anyone eating what is leavened from the first day down to the seventh, that person must be cut off from Israel." How seriously all were to take this matter! Even foreigners dwelling with Israel were required to recognize this festival, avoiding leavened bread for the seven days. (EXOdus 12:19). Leavening in the Scriptures was symbolic of sin, Paul stating that "a little leaven ferments the whole batch of dough." (1COri 5:6). Is it physical life alone that enables people to live peaceably and find true happiness? Sin must be removed, that genuine peace may be found. Jesus sacrifice was to make possible a freedom from sin and death among mankind, as he himself proved free of corruption. (ROMans 3:21-24). It was Jesus that John called "the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." (JOHn 1:29). Upon his resurrection, Jesus would continue working to protect and defend the eternal life prospects of mankind, assisting with the gradual removal of human imperfection, especially as King of God's Kingdom. Understandably, God wanted Israel to remember how they received their freedom from slavery into the Land of Promise, not taking this for granted. This festival, directly following the day of Passover, the same day Christ offered his life in sacrifice, was a reminder to Israel of their Deliverance by Jehovoe out of slavery, their freedom as a nation coming from Him.
JEHOVOE THROUGH JESUS--SOURCE OF SALVATION. To God, it was clearly a life or death matter to credit Him for their deliverance and freedom, not imagining that Israel accomplished such things in their own power. Thus Proverbs 10:22 says "It is the blessing of Jehovoe that makes rich, and He adds no pain with it." Wouldn't we want the backing of the Creator in what we do? God is very understanding, and knows many have been taught wrong things about Him and His word, even from young age, and it may take some time and effort to realize the truth about Him. Let all heed His encouragement: The prophet Jeremiah 17:7-8 says this: "7 Blessed is the man who puts his trust in Jehovoe, Whose confidence is in Jehovoe. 8 He will become like a tree planted by the waters, That sends out its roots to the stream. He will not notice when heat comes, But his leaves will always flourish. And in the year of drought he will not be anxious, Nor will he quit producing fruit." NOTE: Of course, my primary focus is on this nation and things related to my doing and being what God has prepared me to do, be, etc. As regards the 400-day calendar, now the 7-day is off about 16 days for the year, and I noticed that the 1st of August, being a Friday, could be an entry point, if it was accepted and organized properly. Many companies could give workers off that day, with one more day off following, then it would be Sunday but essentially Monday/Moonday of the new calendar, the 18th of Month 7 Huli, for another 5 days work, unless the Sunday was also given off, for a 4-day workweek, then still another 2 days off, before the next 5-day workweek would lead to the 4-day week-ending break. Thus technically Month 7 would be extended, while both calendars can be understood and acknowledged, going from the 7-Day to the 8-Day Calendar. There are ways to pad the 7-day calendar to better line up with the 8-Day going forward, so the seasons do not continue to get off-kilter year after year from the 7-day, as a transitional calendar, which is excellent for planning and correlating dates, etc. to the new calendar. I urge many to think about how this transition would be implemented in what you or your team does, as over half the world knows that this is the true calendar, and has already transitioned to it, and even much of the United States was acknowledging it as the true calendar astronomically, scientifically, etc. for a considerable time last year. At least we might get the conversation going again, with God really having intervened to bring about this change--are some having difficulty realizing God's love for all? This time of consideration actually leads to a period of three weeks (!) where the two calendars nearly match up on the weekends, confirming this as an excellent time to look into transitioning, which again was being considered and in some practice at times previously here in the U.S., where the revealing of God's intervention and calendar originated. The third weekend mentioned has the 16th-17th of August aligning with Days 7-8 (31st-32nd) of the final weekend of Huli, Month 7. (As regards days 32-33 or 34 of months, new computer data fields have been created for the new calendar, different from what has been in place for the 7-day, to accommodate. God's spirit is still with us to straighten things out, and to have a leading role in bringing blessings from God to other countries, even as "one nation under God". Perhaps we may begin thinking in terms of the 8-Day, I could reference the days in an article/post to remind of the purpose of the day, which I believe God is blessing for it's particular purpose that day, whether it's to strengthen our bodies with the right kind of salt intake, or acknowledging that the day might be more windy like today really was here on this Windyday the 12th of the 5th month Agreehelp (Agr). But I realize it would help for me to get where I should, and the true election results regarding the U.S. President to be acknowledged, which was or is not simple due to the AI media control that Donald had over DC, VA, and MD for the last 4-5 years or more, with at least TV, radio, and internet in the region, beginning likely with smaller measures aimed to lessen opposition to his reputation or ideas.
